  1. Sensible head says F12. Non sensible says CGT.
  2. Me too. GT-R is a fantastic machine that I'd like to own maybe one day, but there's too much other fun stuff out there I want to get through first.
  3. He's not racist, he hates everybody equally.
  4. That's just a lesson on how not to review a car. Can't fault the guy for passion though, I guess.
  5. Not at all mate, it's a fair comment and you're absolutely right. Can I tempt you into a lovingly looked after 997.2 C2S at all? Semi-serious, actually. I think if it doesn't shine at maximum attack, then it's not likely to at road speeds. My own personal opinion though.
  6. By the car that excites you, not the one that ticks the boxes. E46 CSL would be a very special car, for half the price too and far more usable on the roads. Tbh, if a GTR on track doesn't set you alight the first time then it's probably not going to on the road, which is where I'm guessing it'll spend most of it's time?
  7. No probs. Yeah, peanuts = cheap, worth getting one anyway as they're universal so no matter what car you have, you'll be fine.
  8. Also, posting in Forum Help is a better idea than 350Z General.
  9. 1. The longer you can leave penetrating fluid on for, the better. 24 or even 48 hours is going to help way more than just 30 mins. 2. Ramps to get it up, then jack stands as well just in case. 3. Proper tool is peanuts, but I usually just disconnect then put a spanner on them and remove whilst the cats are still on the car. Or whatever works, really. 4. I always prefer manual tools to impact stuff as I can feel exactly what is going on, but each to their own.
  10. ^^^ This. Miles are irrelevant, as long as the car is in good nick.
  11. Easily possible. Not sure I'd worry about it matey, depends on who did the first MOT and whether they got it right in the first place, is there a way of checking otherwise? ECU interrogation?
  12. I hated it. Proper detested, like I hated FFV or whatever it was on the PS that was popular.
  13. Hated MGS when I played it on PS, but am oddly looking forward to the new release. Age must be getting the better of me.
  14. I was looking forward to Thief, until I read the reviews I'll pick it up in a few months, I think.
  15. Don't worry, you'll have real friends one day mate
  16. Ah, okay. Didn't catch that, seeing as how someone had done that joke earlier in the thread
  17. Will never be an E36, they're three generations old now!
  18. If you can live with a bit of rattle at idle, then there is no downside at all. Car will feel more responsive and more eager at any gear at any speed, plus in theory it's a fuel saver as well as you've less rotational mass to shift. One to sell to the missus, I think
  19. Which just pushes the cost of insurance up for the rest of us. Frustrating, because in the OPs position I wouldn't want to be inconvenienced by something that wasn't my fault either, but then neither would I want to be part of the reason that premiums keep going up. No win scenario, really.
  20. Gearboxes very rarely have issues, they're strong units. We've seen more engines go pop than 'boxes on here.
  21. I'm just grateful for anything. I usually go for something I've never driven before, so I've had all manner of different things from an Aygo to a C220 to a Freelander.
