  1. The 370 has a shorter wheelbase than the 350, so is going to feel a bit livelier/twitchier on the road than the M3. That said, the 370 isn't renowned for being the most agile of cars so I wouldn't worry too much about that. In every way that matters, the M3 is the better car. Better engine, better interior, better drive. And yet, when I moved on from the 350 I bought an E92, hadn't even picked it up and I knew it wasn't the right call, and so got my deposit back and bought something else. Truth be told, it didn't excite me at all, despite being an amazing car. The 370 also leaves me cold, so that may not be saying much. Drive them both and make up your own mind, they're very different and I suspect you'll gravitate towards one or the other very quickly.
  2. Or if they drove past and watched you leave/enter. Or one of their mates told them. Or they looked on Streetview.
  3. Yeah, I was watching it on Twitch the other day and it looked good. If only they did a next-gen version, I'd have that I reckon.
  4. I'd ignore that: Unless you were doing it every single day, then it would be classed as an unfair contract term and dismissed in court. As you say, there's plenty of reasons you might not always have the car in the garage overnight and as long as it was the exception rather than the rule, it would not be reasonable for the insurer to reject a claim.
  5. I'd rather pay more and have my car in a garage than less and have it on the road.
  6. STi 2.0L engine and 'box are very solid. It's the WRX 'box that's weak, and the later 2.5L engine.
  7. We'll be as bad as the Jaaaaaag lot!
  8. Evo is going to be the quickest. Impreza will make the nicest noise, and the handling is sublime. R33 is the one all the kids with backwards baseball caps will call wikid. I'd have the Impreza, but then I've had one before (blobeye, same as the one you posted) and loved it. Even with 'just' 320bhp, that was plenty quick enough for the road.
  9. I don't like red Zeds. I do, however, love that car. Credit to the owner.
  10. Brand new? I hate to think. I'll guess at about £4000, stab in the dark. Repairs would be a much better choice. I'd say a grand, depending on parts used.
  11. I've only used the RSRs on the road for a brief drive, on a mate's MR2. They were good, perhaps a smidge more feel than the 888s but with slightly less initial turn in and ultimately less grip, but we're talking road speeds here not full-on track stuff like they're intended for. He was getting approx 5K miles from a set of rears, so roughly the same as the 888s which is about fair I think. I only drove it in the dry, but he used them all year round with no issue. He did then go back to the 888s, which probably says it all I guess.
  12. No I won't, your inbox is full! Can you delete some please matey?
  13. I'll shoot you a PM
  14. With regards to the Federals and Nankangs, it would certainly appear that the two companies are chucking good money at their track tyres and certainly both are viable options now. I still prefer the 888s, but if they're only for track use then I'd certainly consider the others as contenders. What worries me is that people will use these halo tyres as an assumption that their common or garden tyres are great as well. Which, to be frank, they're not. Whole other kettle of fish though, and not relevant to this conversation.
  15. I'll take them You in any rush to get them picked up?
  16. From who?
  17. I think he's russian off with the others...
  18. Easier for others to read now
  19. No-one asks you for proof of anything, but that doesn't mean squat. The Ring can be very slippy in places, and tbh if you're not going to push a little bit then is there any point in going? You're not going to drive balls to the wall, but even treating it like a fast country road drive you're still taking a huge risk.
  20. So imagine this: Your rad explodes (not impossible) Ensuing panic means you spin into the armco Car is a write off (£7K) Armco damaged (£4K guess) GT3 behind you hits your coolant and spins into the armco GT3 is a write off (£70K & armco £4K) GT3 clips a biker, writes off his bike (£8K) Biker needs air ambulance and is crippled for life (£500,000) Value of £600,000, ish. Just for a quick 10 min lap of the Ring. Massively unlikely to happen, but it's at your own risk. Or you could do a trackday out there, get the whole use of the straight and insure yourself up for about £1000. Bargain, I reckon.
  21. This is why I won't do tourist days. The risk is just too great, and I like my house.
  22. MPSS. Given that they're about £800 a set now, they're an absolute no-brainer.
  23. T1Rs are awful on track, they'll melt within the first session. Ghastly things to use on track. Chuck the MPSS on a credit card and pay it off next month.
  24. Air in the clutch line. Needs bleeding again. It's a bitch of a job!
  25. Just do the controls in the first place. You will definitely need the fascia.
