  1. It's not so much the scratches, it's the swirls. That said, by rinsing first you'll minimise it, but you can't get everything off just using a jet wash and you'll be rubbing the remainder into the paintwork. It just makes life harder when you next polish, as you'll have a load more to deal with.
  2. NXT wash is garbage. Bought some to use to wash the vans at work, wish I'd never bothered. Everything else looks good though, I use a lot of those products myself
  3. I'm back! I'm not dead! I'm slightly deaf Car was ace and vids to come soon!
  4. Ah, but this is proper Belgian Stella, not the bleached crap they sell in the UK It's actually really drinkable and smooth, lovely drop
  5. Scratchy scratchy. Go to the jet wash and take your cleaning stuff with you. You'll look a ****, but at least your car will look pretty.
  6. I'm 2 litres of Stella down and my spelling OCD is still firing on all cylinders
  7. What does the light reserve?
  8. Off to Spa today ready for the trackday tomorrow, weather looks foul but I'll have a blast anyway GoPro is all charged up too, I'll be interested to hear the sound quality once it's in place, it's quite noisy in here now. I've picked up a set of noise cancelling headphones that I'm using to stop myself going deaf
  9. I'm currently about 4 cars behind you in the previous carriage, in the blue MR2 Twin nostrils, aftermarket black wheels, lady driver, on your way to Spa too?
  10. I have no idea what any of you are talking about Anyone care to elaborate?
  11. Divorce. It's the only way to be sure. Aside from nuking from orbit, of course.
  12. Change it all as a first point, can't hurt and is the quick and easy option.
  13. Ah well, at least I know where they're from now, thanks chaps They're not powder coated, I sprayed and lacquered them myself. They came out really good in the end, just not for the right car
  14. As per the title, is it? I've got a bunch of these and I sprayed them all up nicely to match the MR2 wheels, and then I discovered they're not MR2 nuts If they're not Zed ones, I've no idea what they're from!
  15. Ironically if RB had complied and used the dodgy fuel sensor and been able to run more fuel and more power, they'd have been okay. That's what makes a mockery of the decision.
  16. Pretty much, yes. Same as with the 911 Turbo/S, you get two power figures and you always need to go on the lower one as the higher one is only ever available briefly. Until they launch a special edition and you can have it all the time

    Huracan

The Huracan doesn't need to worry about the 458: It needs to worry about the new R8 and the 458 replacement due soon.
  18. I always wave, and sometimes get one back. Not often though, but then it has been four years since I owned a Zed
  19. You're all kind of right, more or less. Basically the car will have electronic boost control, so the waste gate will be set to open at say 1 bar under normal conditions. If certain conditions are met (sport mode on, engine oil at right temp, certain throttle threshold reached etc) then the controller will hold the waste gate closed until 1.2 bar, hence the term overboost.
  20. Tough. They knew what they were getting from the very start, but they wanted to press ahead with fuel saving and other crap instead of letting race cars actually race.
  21. Get that in writing. It's not about what rules are in place, it's also about common sense. I don't drive the 911 around when at work, it's just not the right image.
  22. Don't feel too bad mate, you might not have done anything even with run off: Mate of mine who I sold the VXR220 almost came a-cropper at Anglesey, when he tried to take Turn 1 and the car kept going straight over the grass. Only the fact the track was clear the other side meant he had time to find grip and stop. I also know of one guy who managed to drive into a marshall's post at the same track...! It happens to the best of us, don't sweat it. Even if you were in a 500kg Caterham, you wouldn't have stopped it. Like you say, once you're on the green stuff you ain't stopping for anything.
