  1. HD wax is easy to use, gives good results (great beading) that are very hard wearing compared to some premium waxes
  2. I had a scorpion on my 2008 HR with a stillen y pipe and really liked the sound of it but when i added berk hfc's , as jp606 says made the scorpion sound very raspy/buzzy and imho spoil the sound, i ended up selling the scorpion and fitting a milltek.
  3. Hi nij, where are you based? Might be up for selling my zed I have a 2008 twilight grey with black leather with 26k on clock, but has milltek, Berks HFCs and uprev, hardly using it as I work away, sits in garage 3 weeks a month, owned for about 2 1/2 years done about 7k miles in that time. It's in mint condition, you can see it in gallery give us a shout if your interested, cheers, gordy
  4. Shocking mate....... feel gutted for you, hope you find the scumbag who did it.
  5. While on journey home from Shetland on Aberdeen to Edinburgh train i spotted a nice silver 350z in car park at Inverkeithing railway station, it put a smile on my face because i remembered ive got one of those lovely machines sitting in my garage and haven't driven it for 3 weeks, time to wake the beast
  6. Working up here at the moment, was surprised to see one especially as It was the exact same my own one (at home tucked up in garage)
  7. Spotted driving through Brae heading towards Sullom Voe about 7:00am on Saturday, anyone on here?
  8. I like the sound of the 40th anniversary model (345bhp+2wd) but the look of the rear on the c4s is
  9. Gixxer, agree with you about being totally informed before jumping in ,but for me to jump in to a car expensive to purchase/maintain then have the worry of it going wrong does not sit comfy with me, plus the amount of horror stories on the net, seems like only 5-10% are not affected with engine issues cheers for the heads up mate gordy
  10. marzman, it sound like you've hit the nail on the head for me as I want to tick it off my list but scared I might regreat making the move from a really nice 350hr into a car that im worried about reliability and scared to use to the full in case I land up with a big bill. Thanks guys, for all your inputs
  11. Maybe wait till gen2s drop into my price range and try out something else till then...... the search goes on or maybe stick with my zed for now tbh its a great car and never let me down
  12. Hi Ekona, really would have to be 911 or Cayman 3.4s but does seem a bit of a minefield getting one with a healthy engine and then worrying about damaging it when you give it a thrashing, have you any idea how much a bore inspection would cost and is this a guarantee that it wont develop scoring in the future?
  13. Maybe a bit over budget looking at 25k max, would love a 997 but early ones seem prone to engine issues as well guess thats why you bought 997.2
  14. Have read up a bit about issues with bore scoring, and ims on Cayman/911 3.4,3.6 and on newer 3.8s engines so does make me wary about purchase. Tbh I'm a bit disappointed that a company with a reputation for reliable well engineered products has had ongoing issues on its engines for several years.
