As per the title, is it? I've got a bunch of these and I sprayed them all up nicely to match the MR2 wheels, and then I discovered they're not MR2 nuts If they're not Zed ones, I've no idea what they're from!

Ironically if RB had complied and used the dodgy fuel sensor and been able to run more fuel and more power, they'd have been okay. That's what makes a mockery of the decision.
-
Pretty much, yes. Same as with the 911 Turbo/S, you get two power figures and you always need to go on the lower one as the higher one is only ever available briefly. Until they launch a special edition and you can have it all the time
-
The Huracan doesn't need to worry about the 458: It needs to worry about the new R8 and the 458 replacement due soon.
-
I always wave, and sometimes get one back. Not often though, but then it has been four years since I owned a Zed

You're all kind of right, more or less. Basically the car will have electronic boost control, so the waste gate will be set to open at say 1 bar under normal conditions. If certain conditions are met (sport mode on, engine oil at right temp, certain throttle threshold reached etc) then the controller will hold the waste gate closed until 1.2 bar, hence the term overboost.

No CEL after crash - need advice on potential hidden damage

Lol, that letter is brilliant! -
Tough. They knew what they were getting from the very start, but they wanted to press ahead with fuel saving and other crap instead of letting race cars actually race.
-
Get that in writing. It's not about what rules are in place, it's also about common sense. I don't drive the 911 around when at work, it's just not the right image.

Don't feel too bad mate, you might not have done anything even with run off: Mate of mine who I sold the VXR220 almost came a-cropper at Anglesey, when he tried to take Turn 1 and the car kept going straight over the grass. Only the fact the track was clear the other side meant he had time to find grip and stop. I also know of one guy who managed to drive into a marshall's post at the same track...! It happens to the best of us, don't sweat it. Even if you were in a 500kg Caterham, you wouldn't have stopped it. Like you say, once you're on the green stuff you ain't stopping for anything. -
This man has taste, that's a pretty good list. Any reason why just normal GTB not GTO on the 599? Personally I'd have: Zonda F Roadster 2.7 RS replica 2-11 F12b Carrera GT Clio 200 Cup (yes, really!) Cayenne Turbo S That would do me. Covers everything from the snotter to use around town to the grand tourer to the classic that you can actually use to the trackday toy.

Oil and battery I wouldn't worry about. Clutch pedal could be damage to the slave/master via shock from the crash, but again I'm not convinced I'd do anything to investigate if everything else seems okay. What I would do is be very concerned about the chassis being straight, but that's something you'll only find out after you've got everything fixed and tried to do an alignment. If you feel like it, it might be a good idea to post up exactly what you have to replace and the costs involved to give others an idea of repair costs should they find themselves in a similar place, or at least they could help determine whether someone felt like taking up trackday insurance for their own trip. Massive commiserations btw, and I genuinely mean that: Tbh, there but for the grace of God go I. I've been lucky so far, but luck doesn't last forever. Just glad you're okay mate, that's the main thing. -
None of which exactly give out the right image. You rock up to a meeting with a client in one of those and they're not going to be massively impressed, sadly. Alfa Brera is a good shout though, if not the last word in driving dynamics.

E46 M3. It's first on your list for a reason 335d/i would be worth considering as well.

I lost my phone the other day. Turns out I'd left it in airplane mode.

553bhp & 465 lb/ft 370Z Full Amuse with Greddy Twin Turbo

I wouldn't be giving them a penny of my money if that's how they treat customers. Imagine what they'll be like when they've got your money... -

I'd hope from someone else! -
I just read a whole two posts up and got it straight away

NA petrol is unlikely to see any worthwhile gains. LPG conversions are great if you're not the person paying for the original install, else it takes years to get your money back.

DEATH TO ENGINE Loads on this here already, but basically don't use 95 in a DE Zed. You'd never know if someone had unless you start taking the engine apart.

Anyone else have this problem while fitting coilovers?
Ekona replied to parello9's topic in Suspension
Should've been ready for it then Happened to me on other cars too. Irritating, but not uncommon. -
As long as you're happy with adjusting the brake bias, then no reason why not. You should never do it the other way round (i.e. moving the bias rearward), but forwards is fine. My old PF setup had harsher pads on the front than the rear, simply because PF don't do an 01 compound for the back so I had to use the Z-rated pads. Tbh though, for the relative small sums of money you're talking I'd just run YS all round.

If you want to change just for the sake of it, then go for it: They're great cars. However, if it's a cost-saving exercise then you might be better off sticking with the Zed. By the time you've inevitably spent more on buying the BMW via the higher sticker price and losing on whatever the Zed goes for, you then need to add in the extra cost of diesel itself, plus the BMW-tax for consumables, and extra cash for the modding. By that time, and over the course of a few years, you may actually not be any better off financially. It's just something to consider.

I'd rather see the best drivers at the front, than running amongst the pack.

Vettel didn't even finish the race, much less get a better part. If the FIA had a spare part, why did they tell RB to use the defective one and they'd sort it out later? Again, I'm not saying RB were right to ignore the directions (in fact they were downright stupid), but the FIA hasn't covered itself in glory here.
