  1. Maybe there should be a constant BEEEEEEEP when the fog lights are on, like when you unbuckle your seat belt. That'd stop people leaving them on without due reason.
  2. I hate the fact that Ford don't have separate dials for the front and rear fogs, and that the fronts come on first. During the average year, I might need to use rear fogs about ten times. In all my driving life, I've needed to use front fogs ONCE. It's a stupid design, and just contributes towards people inappropriately using front fogs. Ford, you are a bunch of muppets.
  3. Looks a billionty times better in black than white. Very nice matey No leather seats though?
  4. Rear fogs should be on in heavy rain. They're meant for low-visibility conditions. I would very much like to see a 'wipers on, lights on' law introduced. Dipped only, of course, but it should be brought in. Also, thumbs up to the Chinese, good on 'em although the punishment is for people using main beam rather fog lights.
  5. No probs, now go spend the cash, they're ace!
  6. Possible airlock, leading to overheating and the coolant being dumped out of the expansion tank. Bleed the whole system through, just to make sure.
  7. I don't get the thread title at all Welcome along!
  8. Didn't say it wasn't, and you're 100% correct. However, that GT-R is also 100% ugly!
  9. On a Saturday in August, who'd have thought? Enjoy guys, I'd be there too if not in Florida
  10. Depends on the setting you use. Narrow has none, medium has a bit, wide has some. Nothing you can do about it, it's the same with every wide angle lens ever. Some like the look and in certain shots it works well, others hate it and stick firmly with the narrow view. Since I produce footage for my own personal interest (for both memories as well as analysing my driving), it's not something that would ever bother me and I just pick the setting that suits what I'm aiming for, downsides and all.
  11. Will be when its decal'ed up.. Maybe, but a beautiful racecar shouldn't need stickers to look pretty. A 458 GT3 doesn't look ugly when plain, not does an AMV8.
  12. That is possibly the ugliest GT3 car I've ever seen. I'm sure it's quick, but chuff me that's no poster car.
  13. Worth giving A-Plan a call, they mirrored my NCB across when I started buying track cars. Great wiyth mods too, and were very competitive.
  14. Bit of inconvenience for one weekend hardly seems a huge issue. Get the tube, make alternative plans etc. Hell, you could even join them and enjoy the exercise. I don't get the hostility, I really don't. If it was a spur of the moment thing then yeah, but it's properly organised with loads of notice.
  15. God you're a miserable bunch, it's only one weekend!
  16. Agreed on the mods. You'll be covered, but not like for like, it's why I don't take the cheapest quote any more.
  17. Did I not say that? Thing is, if it's as unreliable as you suspect then can you afford to be off the road? Courtesy car is not guaranteed with Jag.
  18. If you're paying the air fare, then not a problem
  19. On the day, if there is a little old guy doing the rides out, make a beeline for him over any one else. His name is Ian Ashley and he did my instruction in the Evoras when I had my free day courtesy of Lotus, and he had me doing things I didn't even think I could. Remarkable man, even if he gets really shouts at you!
  20. In fairness to eBay, they're correct when it comes to property as it can be very complicated to buy, and so it's unlikely any transaction via eBay would be legally binding. Cars are just another object though, and I suspect the reason they have the get-out clause is to stop themselves being over-run by people complaining about both fussy buyers and obstinate sellers. Hell, I'd provably do the same if I was them!
  21. Any time buddy, if there's anything specific you need to know then just give me a shout
  22. Actually, you could just get the simple checks (boroscope and over revs) done at any OPC, but you'll be paying more for those two services than a good indy would charge for a full inspection.
  23. It's always down to the buyer to carry out those checks, unless you can get them inserted into the deal i.e. you pay and if they check out, the seller knocks the cost off the car. You should get a respected company to do the PPI (pre purchase inspection), I'd personally use Peter Morgan or Mike at Sports & Classic on the mainland. Don't go on if they've been done previously unless very recent, like last week. These things can be expensive if they go wrong, so make sure you're happy first and foremost. You should be looking at around £200-£300 depending on who and where. Look at it this way: You could buy the 911, run it for a year to say you've done it and if you don't like it, flog it with minimal depreciation and then buy the Cayman.
  24. It is legally binding. Don't get confused between eBay law and the actual law. Was there an offer? Yes. Acceptance? Yes. Consideration? Yes. Intent to create legal relations? Yes. It's legally enforceable. Whether any one could be arsed to do so is another matter entirely.
  25. This is very true. Unless there's any misrep, of course.
