    Tyres

Don't mix tyres. Match the rears.
  2. Religion, of any flavour, is not a theory. Pinched from Wiki, as that explains it better than my effort: A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not "guesses" but reliable accounts of the real world. Absolutely none of that applies to religion. It is faith, based upon nothing tangible but (usually) what you told as a little kid. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the massive majority of people have their faith chosen for them when they are young, as opposed to choosing it for themselves. Bizarrely they quickly discover that neither the Tooth Fairy nor Santa Claus are real, but continue to believe in the presence of an omnipotent being. The irony being of course that both the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus are very real and very provable, just keep an eye open in the night for when your parents come in! Would I call someone stupid or thick or choosing to believe? No, I wouldn't. Would I think it? Well, I certainly would struggle to put them at the top of Dan's List Of Smart People, put it that way. That said, each to their own. Apologies if this link has already been posted, but again it sums it up far better than I ever could.
  3. Pfft, their Man Vs Burrito ihas nearly twice the calories. I've finished that bad boy twice now, it's bloody lovely.
  4. Mate, if you can't see how obtuse you're being to the blatant obvious, I'm not sure anyone can explain it to you.
  5. Again, point hugely missed mate.

I just found the experience day, by Red Letter Days perchance? It's just going to be about 3 laps or so in an Elise, definitely take out the insurance, and definitely drive it as hard as you can!

    Oulton Park

I'm guessing this is more like an experience day than anything. Just enjoy yourself and don't expect too much, you'll have a blast
  8. Now I kinda feel you're missing everyone else's point. It's about having respect for your neighbours, ultimately.
  9. Fireworks should be banned from sale to the public, end of. If you try and buy any other item that is solely used for explosions you get some funny questions asked: Fireworks should not be any different. They're bloody dangerous and a bloody nuisance. They're also not hugely exciting once you're over the age of 9.

    Oulton Park

Even if it's cold and raining, you really should do it in a Caterham if you have the chance.

Mint. It's a great track, second longest in the UK behind Silverstone. Fair bit of run off in some places, less in others, but drive within your limits and you'll be fine. As your in their car, I'd suggest pushing as hard as you possibly can.
  12. I was going to post pretty much that, exactly word for word. Great post. Why did you carry on paying full rent on a garage that was leaking? Why did you not do anything between Dec 13 and Mar 14? Did you not think of testing it with a hose before it started raining again? However, this isn't going to go to court at this point hence you have an internal claim form. I would suggest that asking for 1/3 of the rent you paid between the original repair (not when you faulted it) and when it gets fixed would be reasonable. You don't have a lot else to go on, I'm afraid.

    Flashy Lights

Flashing brake lights when you're slamming the anchors on is fine. Constantly flashing whenever you tap the brakes is daft, and is likely to cause an accident. Put it this way, you're going to have an interesting conversation with your insurer when you try and explain this mod to them.

    Flashy Lights

...and that's what happens when you sit blindly in one lane. Lucky fellows.

    Why oh why

Works the other way too: I find the folding hard top MX5 to look decidedly odd compared with the soft top version.

    Flashy Lights

I did mate, I wasn't sure it would work but happily it does let you download MOVs from here I think it's a good idea in principle as long as it only came on when braking hard. If you could somehow connect it to the ABS system so it flashed when that was active, that would work pretty well.

    Flashy Lights

On video (like YT), all LEDs seem to flash because of the refresh rate. They may well come on if under very hard braking as well, it's just that they look like they're doing it all the time on video.

    Flashy Lights

I'd drive into someone on purpose if they had that in front of me. Irritating, distracting, downright annoying. Manufacturers make their cars flash hazards when under very hard braking (my truck does it) which is fine as those lights are designed to flash, but that is just something else. Sorry mate, but I not agree with that install at all. It also will fail the MOT.
  19. What's the autobox like on the 335? In manual mode, particularly.
  20. Hasn't the OP got a 2 door? He said he has an E92. Although Gangzoom clearly has a saloon from his pics, so let's consider that one answered
  21. Did they even do a 335i saloon?
  22. Excellent reply, thanks matey I knew there had to be more to it, I just couldn't get my head around it this early in the week!
  23. Why do some drifters put wings on their cars? Circuit racing I get, as you want the downforce. My line of thinking is that you actually want the rear to be as light as possible to get it mobile & sliding, so extra weight or downforce at that point is the opposite of what you actually need. Do the wings on drift cars serve any purpose, or is it just for show? Genuine question, promise.
  24. Oh I agree, in those cases it's much easier to nip by when you have the length but not the width (fnar).
  25. In theory, it's better when cyclists ride side by side instead of in a line as it makes them easier to overtake. It's like overtaking one car instead of two.
