  1. Agreed. No-one has said that all religion is evil. Nowhere. Not even that quote, and I know you're not daft enough to read it incorrectly. If you want to take an opposite POV for the sake of a good argument, and are prepared to back it up with evidence, then fill your boots mate: I've done that before, and it can help to open minds. To constantly harp on about the same non-point isn't doing this thread not yourself any favours. I'm not having a pop at you fella, just a bit of friendly guidance. What I know about Islam and the Koran can be written down on a grain of rice, but there's more than enough truly evil things throughout the Bible to make me realise that if you ultimately take any religion seriously enough, then you need your head examined. If you're not prepared to take the literal meaning (and good for you if that's the case), then what's the point of having faith in the first place?
  2. I used to be I weighed 17st at one point, down to 12st now. I can still put it away like a boss though.
  3. Wuss, that's half the challenge as the rice bloats you
  4. Who said that? +1 Steve, you're in critical danger of doing a Dblock on us here mate.
  5. If you don't want opinions, then don't put it on the internet. Golden Rule No.1, that.
  6. Well, no. Why would I deprive myself of presents & chocolate & pancakes?
  7. Can I ask why? It's not going to make your car look any better, and indeed it's just asking for extra attention.
  8. They may have roots in religion, but they're from from strictly religious festivals any more. Haven't been for at least 30 years. It's a poor argument, and one that's been done to death. I celebrate Christmas as I get time off work and spend it with family and friends. I celebrate Easter as I like chocolate. I celebrate Shrove Tuesday as I like pancakes. The origins of those festivals have zero meaning to me.
  9. Lessons. Take some lessons, that'll be a far better use of budget than anything you can throw at body or lenses.
  10. I just checked, the pork one is the worst for you: 3478 calories! Best is the chicken, 2875.
  11. Yeah, I have one round the corner too, it's ace Which one do you have? I go for the pulled pork one, ON NOM NOM.
  12. Hi, Can people stop putting these decent Zeds up for sale until I sell my house and have the money to buy one please? Luv Dan xxx

Don't mix tyres. Match the rears.
  16. Religion, of any flavour, is not a theory. Pinched from Wiki, as that explains it better than my effort: A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not "guesses" but reliable accounts of the real world. Absolutely none of that applies to religion. It is faith, based upon nothing tangible but (usually) what you told as a little kid. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the massive majority of people have their faith chosen for them when they are young, as opposed to choosing it for themselves. Bizarrely they quickly discover that neither the Tooth Fairy nor Santa Claus are real, but continue to believe in the presence of an omnipotent being. The irony being of course that both the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus are very real and very provable, just keep an eye open in the night for when your parents come in! Would I call someone stupid or thick or choosing to believe? No, I wouldn't. Would I think it? Well, I certainly would struggle to put them at the top of Dan's List Of Smart People, put it that way. That said, each to their own. Apologies if this link has already been posted, but again it sums it up far better than I ever could.
  17. Pfft, their Man Vs Burrito ihas nearly twice the calories. I've finished that bad boy twice now, it's bloody lovely.
  18. Mate, if you can't see how obtuse you're being to the blatant obvious, I'm not sure anyone can explain it to you.
  19. Again, point hugely missed mate.

I just found the experience day, by Red Letter Days perchance? It's just going to be about 3 laps or so in an Elise, definitely take out the insurance, and definitely drive it as hard as you can!

I'm guessing this is more like an experience day than anything. Just enjoy yourself and don't expect too much, you'll have a blast
  22. Now I kinda feel you're missing everyone else's point. It's about having respect for your neighbours, ultimately.
  23. Fireworks should be banned from sale to the public, end of. If you try and buy any other item that is solely used for explosions you get some funny questions asked: Fireworks should not be any different. They're bloody dangerous and a bloody nuisance. They're also not hugely exciting once you're over the age of 9.

Even if it's cold and raining, you really should do it in a Caterham if you have the chance.

Mint. It's a great track, second longest in the UK behind Silverstone. Fair bit of run off in some places, less in others, but drive within your limits and you'll be fine. As your in their car, I'd suggest pushing as hard as you possibly can.
