  1. Cripes, that's bloody cheap! Much tread left on them?
  2. Do TV stations employ someone to make sure that every presenter is wearing a poppy this time of year before they go on air? And do they have like a massive box of them that they dip into before the cameras roll? I was thinking about this the other day. I can't imagine they leave it up to the presenters, too big a risk to be seen on TV without one.
  3. I like you. You can be my friend.
  4. Cost, I would imagine. You'll get quite bad oversteer with that setup as you've reduced the stagger, hence the traction issues. If you think the car is quick now, just imagine how much better it'll be when you get get all the power down with the correct balance
  5. Oh, well that's perfectly fine then. You can be racist as much as you like, as long as you use your own race as an example.
  6. I actually studied that stuff at the uni. Should be taught at schools to everyone, in my opinion. There are way too many misconceptions going on. I did the same at A-level, I figured that you'd probably studied this somewhere given your response.
  7. No, you didn't. You made an incredibly stupid, naive and preposterously racist comment that insinuated that anyone who isn't white should be deported back to the country where their heritage is, if they commit a crime as in the link. Given your own ethnic background, I struggle to understand just how you can remotely think like that.
  8. That moment was over 10 hours apart. That's some moment.
  9. I like this Comrade guy. He knows his onions.
  10. You don't have any kind of warranty. No paperwork = no warranty. You're now relying 100% on SOGA and fit for purpose. WHERE DID YOU BUY THE CAR FROM? GARAGE FORECOURT, YOUR HOUSE, RANDOM ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE...? And stop looking at the pressure, that's not your problem here! It may go up, or it may stay the same, or it may fly off the scale. That could be reading incorrectly, it's the lack of physical oil in your sump that's the issue here.
  11. No. It can fall to pieces the second you drive it away, as long as there was no misrepresentation. Caveat emptor.
  12. Exactly. You're making the exact same leap as the morons on FB that this was religious in the slightest.
  13. That's not a re-phrase, that's completely different from your first point. How can you kick someone out of their own country? If he was born in Britain, then he's British. End of. Your statement was right out of a Britain First slogan, and it's one that doesn't belong any where in any form.
  14. Okay, that makes more sense. Sadly, at this point he's right. He does not have to refund you. At this point though, we need more info. 1. Where did you buy the car from? As in physical location. 2. What checks did you do before purchasing? 3. What are the exact terms of the warranty. Post the document if possible.
  15. Well, that's twice I've been wrong in a week. I didn't think he'd budge on that one quite so easily.
  16. Or you could view it as '70k and still on the original clutch, I need to allow to replace that soon'
  17. 'Trade sale' and 'trade advert' are very different things. AT use trade advert to differentiate from a private sale. That's all. I think there may be some confusion here, and perhaps the guy didn't actually say trade sale at all. Did he?
  18. I'm adopted, I could be from anywhere!
  19. Unless you're in the trade i.e. a mechanic, a garage, a test driver etc, then this is not a 'trade sale'. It's an erroneous term used by people who have no idea what they're talking about when selling a car.
  20. Please tell me you're not actually that stupid. Or that you're being deeply ironic/sarcastic and I'm completely missing it.
  21. The damage could've been done before you picked the car up, or it could've been done after. No way of knowing. The trouble is you do not know what (if any, although unlikely) has been done at this point without stripping the engine down. As such, I do not think you can reject the vehicle based on what you have so far, or at least the dealer is not legally obliged to take it back. You might have got lucky and just have a bit of extra wear here or there meaning your engine will only last for 400,000 miles rather than 500,000 miles, or it could be fubared and dead in a week. That's why it's so important to both keep an eye on oil usage and keep communication with the dealer over the subject. Keep exact measurements and distances between oil top ups, and check it daily. If you got lucky, then no harm is done really. If not, you'll be so glad for that info before you start pushing for repairs/refunds.
  22. Not a bad shout, that.
  23. I'd rather see 2pts for pole, 1pt for fastest lap at every race, but ultimately that's only going to make matters worse when you have a single dominant car & driver. Don't forget this all came about because Vettel had the title sown up so quickly last year.
  24. I wouldn't replace it, that's too big a bill.
