  1. So today I discovered why no-one is buying a f*cking 370ZN. Apparently a car was ordered for me, but there was a mix up and it was just a boggo 370Z GT with an auto 'box. Completely useless to me. When they said they're not really sure where I go from here, I don't think they were expecting my reply of "Somewhere else?". Utterly pointless. He's going to try and see if Nissan have one somewhere to try, but isn't holding out much hope. Neither am I, and neither can I be arsed chasing them so I can spend nearly £40k with them. *goes back to looking at £40K 981 Boxster S cars*
  2. Nah, I'd take it anywhere that'll do it. I've known specialists to be real sticklers, and I've known regular garages to turn a blind eye to the small things, so it's hit or miss.
  3. It's hardly Bernie's fault if the teams can't make a go of things. After all, they're the ones who agree to Bernie's terms when they sign up: If they don't think it'll work financially, they can always go race elsewhere.
  4. I couldn't bring myself to pick one of those over a 182.
  5. Another reason to make sure you don't tick that keyless entry option box when buying a car. I actively avoid it.
  6. Perhaps, but look at Williams: Last year they were nowhere, just 5 pts for the whole team (the same as in 2011), but this year they're third above Ferrari and McLaren. Okay, so they have the Merc engine, but so do McLaren and Force India. What I'm getting at is that they've made genuine progress, whereas Caterham and Marussia have gone backwards. It was a fresh start this year for all, and while the big guns would always have had the head start due to having the money, with the right people in place in the engineering department it was still possible to jump up a bit. And all that said, I really don't want to see 3-car teams.
  7. No probs matey. I think that's what he meant anyway, I don't want to be speaking for him on this.
  8. If I drive next to a wall I drive quicker, for more exhaust noise bouncing off it
  9. I think what Steve is saying is that he disagrees with you when you say the aspect ration has the be the same: I agree with him, it does not. The aspect ratio will change dpending on what width tyres you want to run, assuming you don't want the TCS to have a hissy fit. Steve increased the stagger on his to give more understeer, and as such would've needed to reduce the ratio to compensate.
  10. It's a horrible time for them as I've said earlier, but F1 does not need also-rans. Neither team has contributed anything to the sport, apart from making up the numbers.
  11. You're kidding, far more chance of something happening on a TA than on a hill climb. Tbh matey, unless you can afford to write the car off then you shouldn't try it. Any motorsport carries risks, and as you need to be at 10/10ths to get anywhere there's always a chance that you could bin it. Hell, you get that same risk with a normal trackday, but it's tenfold when you're competitive. Not trying to put you off, I'm half tempted myself, but don't deceive yourself into thinking that there's less chance of you damaging your p&j.
  12. Let them both die with dignity. They bring nothing to the table in terms of competitive racing.
  13. I've seen a few now, they're very competitive but just not for me. Rubbing is racing
  14. It's Super 7 Autos. I have yet to be told I'm wrong, but if it is I'll edit my posts.
  15. I wave at them, and then start dancing. I know they can see me in their rear view mirror
  16. TA will not be cheap, even at Clubman class. Hill climbs are about as cheap as you can get, but personally I'd rather race with others on track.
  17. That's the thing, we have yet to get the full details from the OP. We have bits and pieces, but not everything.
  18. When I've watched it, you're all on track together, you just have to find your own space.
  19. So using my awesome powers of deduction, we are talking about Super 7 Autos here, correct? As in these guys?
  20. Ah, looks like even a non-race NatB licence will do.
  21. That's a bit harsh, dude. And coming from me, that's saying something.
  22. That's crazy money. Just tell us who it is, they've not done anything wrong that I can see but they are expensive so I would like to be able to know who to avoid.
  23. I wouldn't look any further than the Mishimoto one, personally.
  24. If you were looking at Pirelli prices, then the Michelin PSS are the ones to go for. If you cannot stretch that far, then something like the FK453s would be worth a punt.
