  1. If you were looking at Pirelli prices, then the Michelin PSS are the ones to go for. If you cannot stretch that far, then something like the FK453s would be worth a punt.
  2. So gentle readers, the votes are in. It's much closer than I expected, so I have a decision to make. And make it, I have. My dinner on Friday night shall be... THE HOLY COW BURGER I refuse to be beaten. I will conquer this behemoth, and I will succeed.

Ah right, I read it as you needed the vents for a flowjet system, not that that's how the vents were being cut. Seems utterly pointless to me, but hey ho.

What's a flowjet system? Google was no help. Kermit Green is stunning though, I'd buy a FRS just for that paint
  5. IN10 is only 6-8 pts, what were the others for?
  6. Plenty of cars on PH for under £5K. They can't all be sh*t.
  7. Then how the hell can you afford a £6K sports car?! My dig isn't with you, it's with the system. Although I would suggest your observation probably isn't great if you managed to get 12pts in 3 years... £800 is peanuts with 12pts, but have you included all the mods on that quote?
  8. Eeep, there's a good question! For an early one, I'd be looking at £6K really, but some have got great cars for a grand less.
  9. Try before you buy: I was up there back in June testing every seat they had to see if there was anything better than my el cheapo Sparco Sprint seats, and everything else I tried (ignoring the £1K Reverie stuff) were both less comfortable and less supportive. The fact none of them had major weight savings either meant that I'm very happy the cheapest Sparco seats are actually the best for me
  10. I cannot stand it when people feel like it's okay to touch someone else's car to leave their crappy flyers/cards under the wipers. No. Just no.
  11. I hate to say it at this point, but that configuration is a very bad idea as those shoulder belts have no side restraint, and could easily slip off in an accident. I know it may feel like they're on good and tight, but trust me I've seen too many people seriously injured by doing the same thing over the years. I strongly recommend that you either get some proper seats sorted ASAP, or go back to the standard belts until you do. Using that setup as it is could result in some very serious injuries to yourself, and nobody wants to see that matey.
  12. Your coolant temp gauge will read massively off the scale. It might do it randomly as air works its way through, or it might do it all the time if it's locked. How much did you lose?
  13. Well, it'll work in that "Man, I love ditches!" kinda way
  14. I think we can both agree that telling someone that running same size tyres all round is not a good thing to do unless you're deliberately trying to have car that is unstable at the rear. For drifting yes, I get that, for road use no way.
  15. Just pour it into the header tank, when the engine is cold. You may well have to bleed it through if you've lost a lot though, which is the really fun bit...
  16. No. 225/45/18 and 245/45/18.
  17. We don't 'get around' insurance, we tell them what we have fitted and they charge us accordingly. Clicky axle is an easy fix, exhausts often break at that point and one of your fans isn't working, which is why your engine is getting hot.
  18. Post up the breakdown then, this thread is getting a bit fragmented.
  19. 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear. And not Pirelli, they're awful. FK453 would be a much better choice and cheaper, too.
  20. You can check under the car when it's up on their ramps, when you pick it up. Take photos then, you may not get an easier chance! Get them to email you the bill before collection: If you pay up the full amount when you get there, it's going to make it awkward to get your money back and then we can't help you. You need to have the argument before you pay a penny.
