  1. It's not 5mm, it's 5% of the width of the tyre.
  2. Like rogue apostrophes
  3. Work harder, earn more money, keep Sky. Job's a carrot
  4. Possibly. The issue is that when you start a car up, all the oil is in the bottom of the sump so none of the important bits have any oil on them at all. Now, in practice we know that's not quite true as unless the car has been sat for years then oil finds a way of coating everything, but the coating will be massively reduced. In a perfect world you'd never do it, but in the real world you can't do anything about it so I wouldn't be worrying.
  5. Tbh I'd talk with my wallet and just go elsewhere. The only option you've really got is to change back to stock, OEM is 87 or less but that's a ballache to do every time.
  6. Don't say that, that's where my mate just bought his Gallardo from! Tbh a modern engine shouldn't have any issues with that, not these days.
  7. They check the revs, not the position of your foot
  8. The bungs on the K1 bought it down from 102 to 98 ish from memory, tested at Woodbridge by javelin. You sure that's not 90 drive-by? That's awfully low otherwise, most cars are going to above that on the static.
  9. That's incredibly reasonable, y'know. Good idea
  10. Very hard to knock the price down on a car that's immaculate.
  11. I heart my Bigfoot very much For some situations, it's absolutely perfect and knocks spots off even my Makita.
  12. And how will people know when the shops open to go collect their watches?!
  13. I'd rather own 1 DAS6 than 5 of these. Much better value for money, and perfect for beginners.
  14. No, it's all down to the person using it. That said, you wouldn't put Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of a Corsa and expect him to win a grand prix, would you?
  15. Linky?
  16. And I guess the solicitor costs aren't cheap either If you've been offered £7800, take it mate, that's only £150 less than asking which is what anyone would haggle off anyway.
  17. Pop the wheel off and look inside, the sizes are stamped to the wheel. You're looking for 8J or 8.5J.
  18. If people really want to queue, then let them. The rest of us can then continue using all available lanes correctly.
  19. Work out the difference. If you can spend £500 but make £1000 more because of it, then you're £500 up so it's a good idea. If you're going to come off even then I'd still do it anyway as it'll make it easier to sell, but if you're going to come out down then it's not worth it. Personally, if I rock up to view a car and the seller hasn't disclosed just how bad the bodywork is, then I'm going to be extremely annoyed at wasting my time and will definitely be walking away. On the other hand, if you tell me exactly how bad it is then unless it's up for a bargain price I'm not coming to view in the first place. At this point, and given 350Z values, you're either going to have to let it go for about £1500 under list OR get the work done.
  20. Erm, no. They're airing the recorded bits only, and they won't be full episodes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32407514
  21. To me it sounded expensive, tbh. I bought one once, many years ago. Tried it on one panel, realised it was a crock of shite, and threw it away.
  22. Years ago when I had the VXR, over on the .org forum there were some claims about John's dyno giving some dodgy power figures on the turbos, which he put down to the dyno slipping when running the NA cars but not the turbos I took my car to TMS though, had great service and I'd have gone back there again. Not cheap, but then good never is.
  23. Doesn't everyone have two kitchens?
  24. Does John still have the dodgy dyno that copes with VXT power levels, but lets VX NA cars slip? /old VX.org thread
