Isn't it? You got a service, for free (or at least not that you'd notice since it was included in the cost of the car). That sounds like a result to me.
There isn't an issue. I'd be more worried that you'll end up with a car that's been run on 95RON all it's life than I would a gearbox that might go pop. The former is far, FAR more likely to occur than the latter.
We also need to see alignment settings across both setups, just to confirm that nothing has changed there that could affect the outcome.
But yeah, this is a great idea for a thread, fair play to you!
I just pull the plates off on my cars, when they've been attached with sticky pads. I worry about the removal of the residue and half a pad when I can actually see it.
