  1. At 5.5mm I don't think they'll be that bad, certainly I'd expect them to be on a par with the 888s and possibly longer, given how little tread there is so less chance for slidey slidey action!
  2. ...but when I do, they look like this: The Nankang AR-1 Literally brand-new, only very limited supplies right now along with limited sizes. For Zed peoples I can only see them in 225/40/18 (£120) and 265/35/18 (£150) right now, but this is going to be expanded very soon so I'd expect to see a much better selection in 18". They're EU marked so road legal, although I'd expect their wet weather characteristics to be somewhat interesting with that tread pattern. However, given the hysteria we had a few years back with the EU re-classifying what could be used as a road tyre and the fear that 888s would be made illegal, it's incredibly encouraging to see a road legal tyre that looks basically like a bike tyre coming to the market. I've not ordered any yet, but I think for the prices these have to be worth a shot.
  3. Oh man, I'm so annoyed at myself for not picking that up
  4. Dreaming about being attacked by paper planes?
  5. Right, you're both fired

  11. Let's rise up! Tomorrow. Or next week, seeing as it's the weekend. Or maybe wait until the summer when it's warm.
  12. Or what comes directly before a Z
  13. That's my point: The numbers are irrelevant, it's the scale you're using that needs to be consistent. If you feel that 32 is too harsh, then no issues making them 29 if it suits you. Just keep an eye on your tyre wear and adjust accordingly. Tyre pressures are determined by make and model of the tyre, not the wheel size: What are you running? In theory the spacer thing is correct, they could run the other way I guess, but I've yet to come across any that do. Either way you're going to have to take a chance if you don't know for sure, so I'd definitely be going the same way as the hub bolts go for a starter.
  14. Because the public are mugs and most don't understand that. All they see is 2p for 100mi and that's it. On a tangent, look at smartphone batteries. As a rule they still only last a day, despite nearly 10 years worth of development. Why is this? Simply it's because we want more gadgets and more power, so it needs a bigger more efficient battery to power all that. If you get an EV and then put on your fancy stereo, your heated seats, your a/c, your satnav, your lane detection system etc, where do you think the power for this will come from? That's right, from the batteries, so EV manufacturers need to step up the game there just to stay still. It's ridiculous, and it's the consumers' fault.
  15. Well if we're playing that game, from the Zed until now mine cost me -£19500 and gained me 30bhp, 0.9L, two seats and two cylinders!
  16. If I was 20 years old, I may not make the same bet
  17. Lefty loosey, righty tighty. Or, clockwise-close. Your M&S gauge may not be any more accurate than the old compressor, y'know. What you need to do is not get fixated with numbers, but rather use them as a baseline and stay with one specific measuring device so at least you're consistent. For example, your Dad's compressor one might be reading 10psi over, but it doesn't really matter. Just make adjustments based on that, so if it's too high then lower the pressures but stick to that one device.
  18. Yay my eyesight isn't as bad as Granvilles!

  20. Nice!
  21. Christ, I'd have told them to triple that if they wanted a sale! No way you can judge a car in 20 mins.
  22. Would you like your coat now, sir?
  23. Of course they will. Then watch their popularity plummet.
