  1. As cheap as the Rays? I mean, I'm not denying there's lighter wheels out there, but you either have to spend more money or find a four leaf clover in a field nailed to a pot of gold whilst a pig circles above.
  2. Yes, sadly the time came to say goodbye to the trusty Clio 182. It was bought cheap, it was sold cheap, and it was a heck of a lot of fun. But sometimes, you just know what car you need in your life, and god bless my wifey for having good taste in cars... Well, doesn't that look familiar? For those who don't know. that's the same car we sold to a mate 3 years ago because Jo was doing long commutes and the fuel bill was crippling. Thankfully he's looked after her as well as we would've, sorted out all the wonky bits, and now we have Betty Beast back in our possession again. 320-ish bhp, 1300kg, STi PPP, revs to high heaven and has DCCD with the wider track. She's an absolute monster of a car, and I struggle to find anything I'd cover distances with quicker than this. Just enough power to be fun, but with a torque delivery that leaves you breathless on occasion. Suffice to say, we're not planning on getting shot of Betty any time soon.
  3. But did you not get a one-off bargain on those? I mean, it's not like they're cropping up for sale at that price every 5 mins.
  4. How the f*ck did you get a Gyarados, that's like a billion Magikarp!
  5. Aww sucks Do yourself a favour and don't faff around with accident management companies, just deal directly with your insurer. It will make life so much easier, and it's what you pay them for. Start collecting adverts for comparable cars from PH & AT, and be prepared to haggle.

    help!

Then they're not mechanics. Sadly I tend to agree with the others, this is looking very much like a rebuild job.
  7. If it is as you say it is, then I'd be looking at that route too. You really need to go and speak with a proper employment solicitor and get their take on it, or use your union if you're a member. That said, from a practical POV I think that Stu's advice is the one to take: Don't get bogged down in stuff that can make your life awkward, just take the easy route if it means that you get into a happy place quicker.
  8. It's a personal thing, but tbh I've found that Dodo Juice Supernatural is right up there with the best. It certainly adds gloss, but more importantly it's also very easy to work with. Some waxes can be a PITA in some conditions, but I've always found DJSN to work brilliantly in all temps. However, wax is just a protector. To get a proper deep shine you'll need polish, and that's a whole different ball game...

    Guess the Car

I have zero interest in the F40. Does nothing for me at all. The F50 is a superior car in every single way: V12 over V8, NA over turbo, and the roof comes off. Perhaps not quite as well designed externally, but otherwise it's not even close. Offer me an F40 or a 959, and I'd take the F40 though! I'd probably take a common or garden 458 over an F40, truth be told.
  10. Wrap won't be any closer than paint, unless you do the whole car.
  11. Except it won't be a perfect match, as the bumper is plastic and the fuel lid metal. We all know that the Zed is notorious for looking different colours on the rear 3/4 where you can see bumper + wing + fuel cap all in one. I agree with Kyle, just get the bumper removed and sprayed off the car, it will always look slightly different but it'll be better than being full of stone chips.
  12. Just put anything in, if it's not good enough then they'll have to come out and do it again. Their risk. You'll never know the difference between OEM and aftermarket though.
  13. You're only 1mm from changing them, either bin them or sling them on eBay and take what you can for them.
  14. It's not Tim was a chemical engineer in a previous life, everything is his own concoction. Bloody clever man, wish I had half his brains!
  15. I got an Ekans from a 5km egg. Nearly got a 10km to hatch soon!

    Guess the Car

Ultimate drivers car? Caterham, my friend!
  17. Go to Nissan, buy coolant, dilute and top up
  18. Agreed. It also depends on the exact dilution ratio: For me, I run the Envy Bubbly Jubbly at max strength. Nice and thick is how you want it.
  19. It's not dodgy, it's just python. But yes, no app works for this yet.
  20. It's a realtime map of pokemon available to catch in whatever area you're in (or area you specify). Basically, if you want to know what kind of pokemon are available where, then this answers that.
  21. Xl is fine. Avoid the runflat stuff like the plague though!
  22. Best thing for audio is to move to a component setup: The standard setup has the tweeters pointed right at your ear, which is why it sounds rubbish. Put the woofers in the regular place, and then install the tweeters on the dash so it reflects off the glass to fill the cabin. Did that on the VXR, made a MASSIVE difference for peanuts.
