appreciate the reply...if it was piston rings would there be other signs or the same?

hi all recently replaced my engine as mi e was throwing out a lot of blue smoke. anyway, quick inspection of my original engine and noticed on 1 side all the 3 exhaust ports have oil but the other side has nothing. is this more likely to be piston rings or something in the head?

hi all i just had the engine replaced in 2003 350z. all seems fine but its idling rough and wants to cut out. reving it is fine. no warning lights etc the mechanic is stumped, he is saying maf sensor as when its unplugged it idles fine but then wont rev passed 2.5krpm any ideas??

Hi all. so i will be replacing the engine on my 350z but i have a quick question. im not a very technical person and this this may seem a silly a question but my car is an import. can engine be replaced with a uk engine or do i have to swap ecu etc also. thanks

a compression test would be a start...couple people have mentioned that. think i might just replace the engine

A little more info on what car is actually doing. getting oil on plugs blue smoke when accelerating and start up misfire but when plugs are cleaned misfire disappears for a small while no warning lights on dash im very confused, mechanics around where i am (lancashire) are scared to take the job on.

hi all. I'll get right into it. I was driving my 350z and all of a sudden my brake pedal felt soft and started getting a loud knocking/banging/vibration from rear of the car. when on the accelerator the noise goes but when off throttle I get this loud knocking from rear and loud clicking as I'm slowing down. it's not driveable as it is. any ideas? I did notice before this issue I started to get some sort of issue with rear left suspension. any help would be appreciated. TIA
