All 996 cars have at least a spoiler that rises at approx 75mph and lowers at 30mph built into the rear deck, the GT3 had a fixed wing and the Turbo a more traditional style motorised spoiler.

Just get a 911. It's different enough that at least you can tick the box to say you've had one, if you don't like it after a month then you're not going to lose any money on one if you need to sell it, and it's an easy car for the other half to bumble around in. Just don't do what some people do and buy one without getting an inspection, as a couple of hundred quid is peanuts to pay for peace of mind.

In theory, the only issue you'll get is that the battery won't last anywhere near as long as the car will constantly be trying to overcharge it. I'd always, always code a new battery as soon as possible.

Correct. The theory being that airbags are needed to keep casualties down, so you must have them. However, that then means that rally cars cannot drive between stages, never mind that it would cause a lot of problems going forward with regards to grassroots motorsports, so they deliberately left a get out in. To me, it's the right thing to do, although it makes life awkward for those of us that don't like a gigantic thick rimmed wheel with no feel to steer our cars with.

You should always tell them you've changed the steering wheel, and if they ask if it has an airbag then tell them that too. Otherwise, as long as you've told them then that's their problem. Going back to the OP, how modified is your car? If it's just wheels, a roof wrap and a steering wheel then they were right to fail it. If it's stripped inside, bucket seats and 888s, then they should've passed it.

P9, section 5. Extensively modified vehicles would pass regardless of having a steering wheel with airbag or not. Like I said, find a different station.

Under 5.4 of the MOT regs, the SRS section. As far as practicable, check that all airbags fitted as original equipment are present and not obviously defective. REASON FOR REJECTION An airbag obviously missing or defective. So yes, they were correct to fail it. However, I'd be finding a new garage with some common sense, or if not possible then sadly it'll mean re-fitting the OEM one once a year.

First off, never ever bother with chip repairs. Always just get a new screen, much better result and almost always less pain. However, that's of little help to you now. B pillars should come finished, and really you have no route in SCC as you've yet to suffer a real loss that the company haven't been prepared to fix. A new car doesn't have to be better, just different. In recent times I've gone from VX220 to 350 to 911 to the current 645. You couldn't really pick a bunch of cars that have less in common, but they've all provided me with fun albeit in very different ways.

Before. Always before. That's if you're going to at all, and tbh even then it depends on how long ago they were done. If the oil is coming up to a year old you might as well, likewise the brake fluid at two years. If you only did them last month though, then I wouldn't touch either.
