  1. Under 5.4 of the MOT regs, the SRS section. As far as practicable, check that all airbags fitted as original equipment are present and not obviously defective. REASON FOR REJECTION An airbag obviously missing or defective. So yes, they were correct to fail it. However, I'd be finding a new garage with some common sense, or if not possible then sadly it'll mean re-fitting the OEM one once a year.
  2. Are you never going to drive the C63 as well?
  3. Just take the rear seats out, that's what I'm doing with my 6er.
  4. Sounds similar to the Envy FA, which is a brilliant product that I use plenty of. Whether it's as good, I've no idea.
  5. Oh, and E46 M3 is two doors, not four.
  6. First off, never ever bother with chip repairs. Always just get a new screen, much better result and almost always less pain. However, that's of little help to you now. B pillars should come finished, and really you have no route in SCC as you've yet to suffer a real loss that the company haven't been prepared to fix. If they refuse to make good the repairs, then you can start down that line. Autoglass?
  7. A new car doesn't have to be better, just different. In recent times I've gone from VX220 to 350 to 911 to the current 645. You couldn't really pick a bunch of cars that have less in common, but they've all provided me with fun albeit in very different ways.
  8. Yeah, I wouldn't bother either
  9. Before. Always before. That's if you're going to at all, and tbh even then it depends on how long ago they were done. If the oil is coming up to a year old you might as well, likewise the brake fluid at two years. If you only did them last month though, then I wouldn't touch either.
  10. Sell it, get something else. That's what I do when I get bored of my cars. Life's too short to spend ten years driving the same car.
  11. Is that the fault of Porsche though? Gone are the days when they produced the odd dodgy car (996 anyone? Or the 2.5l Boxster?), now everything they make is impeccable and pretty much class leading from a driving POV. As a sporty manufacturer, they really have no equals, not at the price points they aim at. I love the new TT, but over a Cayman? No. X5/6M over a Cayenne TT? God no. F-Type over the 911? To be different and to have a v8 then maybe, but otherwise I couldn't. Hell, the new Pananera isn't even ugly any more! I know I'm biased, but go find a manufacturer that delivers so much from every car in the range. Porsche also offer so much more access than other companies to Evo, hence the overexposure. I'm not saying I disagree with you guys that Evo has too much Porsche, as it does and even I'm bored of it, but I dont think that's either the fault of Evo nor Porsche. If you want a really good read that encompasses more than just sports cars, and goes deeper in the industry with some proper good exclusives, go pick up a copy of Car. They have access to stuff like you would not believe, and the quality of their copy is exceptional.
  12. Since 1962 with the Rover P5, apparently. Then revived in 1985 by Toyota for the Carina. All from the wiki page. I'm geeky, but not that geeky
  13. Phew, thought I was going mad then!
  14. Erm, is that not a 350 in the picture?
  15. Depends if you ever intend to go back to stock before selling the car. If you do, then you can take the mods off and sell them on, minimising loss. What mods you got planned?
  16. I'm not convinced that's what it appears to be. Looks more like an engineering mule than anything else: We've got the Panamera Shooting Brake to come first, which we've not seen running yet. 4WD Panny Estate? Now that would be a desirable car. Unlike the above, which looks an utter mess.

Trouble is, the car is such a boring colour that it needs something to lift it. Front lip helps, as would bright centre caps + roof wrap + skirts + spoiler. All IMHO, of course.

Rays. Or the Lineas in a much brighter contrasting colour, like orange or green.
  19. Externally, definitely. Much more so than BMWs or Audis, although I do still have a soft spot for even the most basic E92. Well, and the E63 obviously Where Subaru and Ford fall over is the interiors. They're utterly horrendous, cheap nasty plastic things. Acceptable sure, but incredibly poor quality.
  20. Wait until you drive something properly low, like an Elise or Caterham
  21. 30,000rpm?! I'm not surprised your exhaust sounds loud
  22. Fair enough. Still no need to go any wider, although that's probably just about right then.
  23. 275 lacking in traction on a car with just 300bhp Bear one thing in mind: More rubber means more unsprung weight, which will have certain effects on acceleration, braking and handling. Possibly not a huge issue if you're running massive wheels in the first place, mind.
