  1. Scary thought. But yeah, surprising what a well-written advert will do.
  2. Agreed. Also, pay the extra and make sure the engine builder supplies all the parts you need: That way, if anything goes wrong it's 100% down to them to fix and you don't get the hassle of "Well mate, you supplied the parts so they must be the problem..." that can happen.
  3. Thinks that low mate, i sold a jdm 03 for £1k more than that in std condition. Then you did well, or the other guy was a mug
  4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM327-WiFi-OBD2-Car-Diagnostics-Scanner-Code-Reader-for-iPhone-iOS-AND-Android-/251760321498?hash=item3a9e15a3da:g:fXsAAOSw2XFUkX3U Get that. 100% works, in conjunction with Dash Command.
  5. Somewhere between £4k-£5K I reckon.
  6. Yeah, heaven forbid you'd actually want some passion in your car ;) It does suck though. Can you not simply transfer your order to a different dealer?
  7. And just imagine how useless they'll be when they've actually got your money...
  8. The last thing I would do is get a 370, unless you're absolutely in love with them. It's just not that different to justify the much larger expense, and IMHO definitely not in terms of the drive. I also wouldn't get the HR. Again, not enough of a difference unless it's a car you're gonna to keep forever. Nope, I'd either mod what you have now or get something completely different. But that's just me.
  9. It's very easy to predict: If the driver doesn't change, and the road doesn't change, and you've added weight in the worst place, then unless you're capable of defeating physics the outcome will be a slower car!
  10. Then there's no reason the OBDII readers shouldn't work... What ones have you tried? I use a cheapy £10 wifi unit from eBay China, then Dash Command on iOS. Works perfectly across all cars.
  11. And that grip will be blunted by the extra weight, so you'll actually be slower.
  12. More grip when using power to exit a corner yes, but slower steering inputs into and out of the corner.
  13. Perfect, thanks bud. Makes sense, and I trust your working out lol. Btw, I meant cooling not cooking!

    New car time!

Definitely believable! In a perfect world, we'd all drive V8s I reckon.
  15. JDM car, by any chance?
  16. Silly question, but would a thinner rad not be less efficient than a bigger one? Coming from a plumbing perspective, a bigger rad always gives off more heat which in an automotive application is what you want, more heat removed from the system. Or are you assuming the bonnet venting will make a bigger difference? Not being picky, more trying to improve my understanding of cooking systems
  17. Swap coil packs around until you find the duff one
  18. Out of curiosity, who's fault did you think it was, and who did you think the insurer was going to claim money back from? Glad you're okay man, bet that was a hell of a bang!
  19. Should they though? I mean, he's never ever going to use them again, all anyone is going to read from the article is that they let 18 year olds hoon around in customer cars and wreck them so no-one else is going to use them either, almost seems like no point trying to go the extra mile. I mean, I agree with you and I'd do everything I could to make it right, but ultimately it might be throwing good money after bad.
  20. Salt? Heathen! It's a dash of oregano or nothing, everyone knows that.
  21. I think he did well to get £12k for it. Never worth £26k, and no chance he paid £46k for it with 110k miles on the clock: More like it had done that when it was written off. Still, I'd be seething if that happened to me.
  22. Grannville... Nope, just doesn't work
  23. It's great, but also tedious. I mean, I can spend an entire evening mining for stuff and trading it for monies, then realise I've achieved nothing and am still light years from the centre and essentially wasted an evening. But I've enjoyed it, so it's weird!
