  1. If you reduce sidewall, you reduce arch gap We are talking fractions here: I'm not convinced that a 285/40 would look noticeably different from a 275/35 if I'm honest, not from the side. 10/12/15mm is nothing, bearing in mind that's over the diameter so just 5/6/7.5mm top or bottom. On a car that's 4m long and 1.3m high it's going to be almost impossible to tell. I'd be more concerned about buying decent tyres than worrying about the width of a pen in arch gap. The guys that run 19s have got it right in terms of looks, but I prefer to stick with 18s as well because I don't want the extra weight.
  2. You can run either on a 370Z due to the engine having a decent knock sensor, but unless you've bought the car for four pound and ha'penny then there's no point being a tight arse and losing power and mpg by going 95. Stay Super
  3. Interestingly you've gained 12mm sidewall at the front using that combo, whilst losing a gnat's **** at the rear. I agree that going to a 275/35 on the rear would look a little odd, however if you dropped to a 245/35 at the front then went 275/35 at the rear you'd find them looking much better with just a 10mm difference between them. 245 is within spec for a 9.5 wheel (just!), so maybe another option?
  4. Short answer is no. Some may appear to sit wider due to the increased rim protection (Michelin especially have HUGE ones), but that won't give you a bigger sidewall as that will still be calculated from the 275mm width. What size are you running on the front?
  5. Well, that's the worst reason not to buy a car I've seen yet. I mean, who would want a 2 seat icon with a 400bhp V8 that stands out from everything else on the roads? Not I! Why did you think the driver of said Corvette/s was a prick then? Could it possibly have been that the guy was just a poor driver, and had nothing to do with the car?
  6. Why on earth would you buy an imported Mustang? It'll cost you more, then be LHD as well so all the downsides just so you can have a two-tone interior? You'd be far better off modding one bought in the UK. And the previous gen Mustangs weren't actually very good cars. At all. I'll admit I prefer the looks of them to the current one, but in terms of everything that really matters the new one is far superior.
  7. I know, I'm so stuck in the stone age
  8. Must have DRLs, they're a Euro requirement. Unless you mean they're sidelights rather than separate? Tbh though I'm with Paddy, none of those would remotely figure in my reasons not to buy one at all.
  9. You’ve done track days, you know how much two seconds a lap is worth, especially at a proper but relatively short track like Tsukuba. Considering they’re exactly the same car, then yes that’s massive. I don’t get how you of all people don’t think that’s relevant.
  10. Two seconds at Tsukuba is massive! Plus over a second quicker to 100mph (which is a much better measurement than 0-60mph), but more than that it’s the extra 1000 revs that makes the HR so much more rewarding to drive.

Don't mix MPS4 and MPS4S, they're radically different. Either go: 245/35/19 275/30/19 OR 255/35/19 285/35/19 ... all on MPS4S. Dropping a profile isn't going to make that much difference, and it's a better option than running either crappy tyres or mixed ones. IMHO, YMMV etc.
  12. Only if you promise not to grope me. Again.
  13. Thankfully I already have the Beyonce arse
  14. It's why I want a boob job. I reckon there's nothing I couldn't achieve with a great pair of norks.
  15. *that learned him proper Pfft, philistines.
  16. Hisense are cheap for a reason... But then I won't say I've not considered them myself too. Like Veeg though, I always default to a Samsung screen. They're generally the best out there for my purposes, well set up and well made with good opportunities to adjust the picture for the best visual definition. That said, and I've said this before on here, you need to go try some models out first hand. Pop to Currys or wherever nice and early, take your favourite BD or Xbox game with you, and compare them across multiple screens. Of course they'll all be setup for that super-contrast nuclear winter demo modes, but you can still get a good idea on what works and what doesn't. What is good for one person's eye may well be crap for another, so use your own to decide as ultimately you're the one who's going to be watching stuff on it.
  17. Ooh cars and coffee at Maldon? Count me in.

Yes, the VED decreases every year until it hits the low point. Exact figures are on the government website
  19. Never ever ever fit different tyres on the same axle. Ever. I know you say you're getting it changed, but I do hope you mean like today and it's only a 30 second drive to the tyre place. It's incredibly dangerous to do so, and I'm disappointed the place that sold you the replacement didn't point this out, Have you only had this issue since you had the puncture and changed the tyre? Not before?
  20. Sounds like everyone has them apart from me
  21. ST:ID etc are not in the Prime universe though, so they can go a little off-kilter if they want. That makes sense, and would do so here if it wasn't Prime. And Michael is still a stupid name for a female lead
