  1. Sometimes, I think I should've married you instead of my wife. Can you cook too? Looking forward to this project matey

    Toyota supra

    What are the questions?
  3. No judgment from me fella, I tend to buy the first car I see too and often without even driving them
  4. I just find 4WD stuff a bit boring on track tbh, so that may be my prejudice. Just loads and loads and loads of grip isn't really challenging, it's like driving FWD but quicker. I'd rather have something a bit of a handful than something really competent, like an overpowered VX A45 is going to hate the track, plus the higher CoG is going to make for something more unstable than your other choices I think. Could always buy a non-charged M3, live with it to see if you like it then charge it yourself?
  5. True, but it doesn't scan quite as well for the purposes of humour so I used a little creative accounting

In that case just put a set of BC Racing or Torqen suspension on, you're near enough there anyway so no need to go used. Speak to Tarmacsports or Torqen on here
  7. Well there's a very simple way to sort that out...

    Brilliant post, so much detail
  9. NLOZED: I only have this exact amount of money to spend on a car! Not a penny more! Condition very important too! *spunks nearly a grand more than advertised figure* NLOZED: Bought this orange one, didn't check condition as I was so excited! *cue thug life meme*
  10. Well let's not go down that path again!
  11. I nearly said Evora too, good shout Col. Tbh I think you'll have to go with your gut on this one, but if pushed I'd say the E92. I think the Ultima is just too quick for trackdays (and then there's possible reliability issues that come with buying a kitcar), and the GT-R and the A45 are just going to be too dull on track as you'll have bags and bags of grip. At least the E92 will test you.
  12. Ah, gotcha. Makes more sense now! So something track-happy, not Elise-based, and covered so no Caterhams (last one is my assumption). Budget £40k? I'm honestly a bit stuck tbh. You're close to R8 territory, y'know. They've gotta be worth looking at.
  13. So are buying for now, or for when the house is done? I assumed now, but having re-read your first post I think you actually mean after.
  14. In that case, Caterham. Will give you all the thrills and there's nothing like it at all. Plenty of choice, too.
  15. If you like SLK350 over all the others you've owned, a 350 probably isn't for you. If you're an SLJ just go buy an Evo with your £10k, you won't go quicker than one of those.
  16. Couple of my two taken today, nice to finally get a pic of Zel where he doesn't look stoned
  17. Supecharged or supercharged...? I jest, I'll play properly now. I wouldn't buy an Ultima, as you'll likely grow hateful of it in anything other than perfect weather on track. I wouldn't buy the A45 as it's just a tarted up A class (sorry Colin!). GT-R I can see the attraction if you like them, so maybe one of those although I suspect it'll get pricey to run. SC'd E92 is probably my pick out of those, however I suspect it'll feel very bland coming after the VX. But then, most things will I guess. C63 not an option? The older one with the actual 6.3, one of the finest engines ever made and likely never to be seen again? Or a Maser GT, that high-revving V8 is absolutely gorgeous and it's a proper stunning car to look at too.

*you're Sorry dude, I'm not feeling great at the moment so I probably mis-placed my wrath, apologies. However, can you not see why the two questions you asked are obviously answered in the first post? I'm not sure if you've noticed, but you tend to ask a lot of questions that have already been answered on the same thread: It makes it look like you want spoon-feeding a yes or no answer a lot of the time, rather than drawing your own conclusion. Still, sorry for snapping.
  19. Blatantly stolen from Kringle on PH: Or
  20. Straight line runs are the least interesting way of judging cars. UK roads with like for like capable drivers, an Elise will be much quicker point to point than a 350. Only thing that would be quicker would be an Evo I reckon. Anything fancier (Ferrari, Lambo etc) and you wouldn't drive with as much purpose as it'd be too wide for some B-roads and a bit pricier to fix. Even the current 911 is too wide, else I'd probably add the Turbo to the Evo. Still wouldn't drive as well as the Elise.
