  1. By asking for and getting people to post up videos of said actions, and then by saying that they're awesome is encouraging it. As Tarmac said, the last thread here didn't end too well and as such I'm taking the decision to lock this before it can get out of hand. As has been said, there's plenty of videos around if you search in the right places for them, however driving like a complete muppet on public roads and filming it isn't something we particularly want to be seen encouraging here.
  2. I only count 23 in that list?
  3. If you learn to defecate in the perfect teardrop shape by careful contraction of the sphincter muscles combined with digesting the correct foods to maintain a solid shape during descent, I reckon 70mph is about right. IANAS
  4. Some companies do take the training into account: Mine does anyway (Richard Egger, now REIS).

Club MSV are one of the best and most professional outfits I've ever tracked with, you won't have any trouble there at all.
  6. Welding/engineering shops often carry stocks of loads of gasses, at least the one I know of does. Worth a shot anyway.
  7. I can't speak for you, but I'm currently looking at houses myself and my must-haves are a double garage, detached and a minimum of 4 bedrooms. Everything else I'm flexible on really.
  8. Working in a busy international airport, I can confirm that 99% of people who walk the revolving doors to get on a flight are absolute f*ckwits of the highest order.
  9. It's user-set, not factory set No. 95% of all dyno plots will have them intersect at 5252rpm.

  11. Actually, if you're in security and are a bit bored sign yourself up to go and work for some company or another in Iraq for 6 months, should see both your bank balance and your adrenaline rise quite steeply!
  12. I think unless you're absolutely suicidal in your current job, or you're so highly qualified you're being head-hunted by top City firms, then I wouldn't be quitting any job right now.
  13. If you've only ever taken your car to Nissan for your 3/6/9 year services, then I would damn as hell kick up a stink if that didn't perform the B&P checks. I think you'd have a pretty good case should you need to go to court over it in that circumstance as well.
  14. I'd walk away and find something slightly more used. At just 6K miles there might be a host of gremlins waiting to strike.
  15. Generally I don't buy stuff from traders who don't put prices up. It's nothing personal, it's me being a lazy-ass who can't be bothered to phone/PM for prices. The exception is if I'm after something specific or from abroad, and then I will make the time because it helps me out. I've abstained from voting because there isn't an option that fits my opinion, which is that every trader has the right to do what they feel is appropriate for their business and shouldn't be made to do one thing or the other.
  16. I bought £26K worth of Vauxhall built by Lotus without even sitting in one, much less seeing the actual car!
  17. Oh yay, another Porker vs Nissan argument... As far as the difference between the three revisions of 350Z, it's really not going to make any difference that you'd really notice. The 309 will be a little quicker if you pull to the top end, and that difference will be noticed most on track, but on the road there's not going to be much in it.
  18. You left out Secret Of Mana, you heathen!
  19. What did you do with the existing indicators?
  20. What code is it?
  21. But he has had to do courses that cost money to be able to put him into a position where he can sign something off, hence the monetary cost of the training/knowledge has to be considered. There's other paperwork involved as well, such as invoicing, filing, receipting etc. What I'm trying to say is that they have to charge to cover themselves from a financial POV, and their minimum charge is £45 which means they don't lose on other jobs that take 62mins to complete all-in. Look at it from a business view, not just a alwight-geezer-back-hander-in-yer-pocket-yeah-diamond-mate one.
  22. I think that's why I like them, as the Zed is a very simple shape that doesn't need fussy wheels on it. It's why the Rays work so well.
  23. Varrstoen by a country mile
  24. I think the last cassette I ever bought myself was "Moseley Shoals" by OCS. Only got it on tape so I could play it on my Walkman as I didn't have a portable CD player at the time!
  25. Funny, it's now halved in time: It was two minutes earlier... It's not going to be a minute though, is it? You've got the time of the phonecall, the time spent doing the paperwork (both for you and for them), time spent doing the actual task, not to mention paying for the knowledge of someone else. Bear in mind this is also a main dealer and not a back street garage and it seems fair enough to me. They have to work to the guidelines they've been given, you can't blame them for that. If I go out and do a job for someone that takes 30 min, I have to charge for two hours labour as that's our minimum call out time/fee. They are a business, after all.
