  1. Glad someone else was thinking it. Legal or not, I don't think darkening any of your lights is a particularly clever thing to do.
  2. I got that much from a google, I was just worried you were going to put it in your car or something!
  3. Sorry, can't be of any help but the nosey side of me just has to ask what you want it for?
  4. Get the code read, either by someone with a reader or by using the DIY method mentioned on here.
  5. Alpine iPod integration is fantastic, and their sound processing is second to none
  6. Indeed, ring and ask them. Anywhere between £0 and £500, depending on insurer.
  7. I'm not so sure what everyone has against WBAC. They offer service, you know what you're getting, and you have a choice whether or not to use them. They're taking the risk on flogging the car on afterwards, so they need to get it for a low price to keep that risk to a minimum.
  8. Great, thanks for that fella. Nothing to see here folks, move along.
  9. Update times! Superglue did bugger all (yeah yeah, you told me so! ) so I had proper play with it this morning. I poured a crap load of water right into the hole and it ran straight out down the bottom, just like it's supposed to. This was after I'd fiddled with the central part of the seal, so I think that's where my problem lies: Not sitting in properly. If that's the case, then it's not really an issue at all and I can live with it (especially since it now seems to be fixed). Out of curiosity I had a look at the one on the pax side, and it turns out it's got the exact same tear in it, so I wonder if it's by design? Would any fellow roadster owners like to do me a favour and go and check theirs if they get a chance please?
  10. Look at the speedo? Sorry, no sympathy here if that was a genuine question. If you don't want points/fines, don't speed. If people stopped doing it then they'd have to take the cameras down as they'd lose a fortune. Save the speed for the track, it's not worth saving a measly 5 mins on your journey for.
  11. Superglue (proper Loctite stuff) is resistant to moisture and freezing so should work fine, trouble is where the split is it's nigh-on impossible to get anything else in there to sort it really. If not then I'll chuck a tube of clear silicone in there, that'll definitely hold the bloody water at bay!
  12. A few months ago I was driving along with the roof down whilst it was pissing down with rain quite happily (as you do), staying perfectly dry as i was well above 40mph, until I felt a drip on my right knee. Then another one. And another one. Bugger. Tried opening and closing the window to remake the seal, and also a very brief stop to open and close the door, but nothing worked. The water was getting in and dripping down about halfway down the A-pillar, not a lot but enough to be irritating. Gave up and ignored it and the sun came out so I stopped worrying. Fast forward to yesterday when the heavens opened big time and the exact same thing happened again. Decided that it was probably worth a bit of investigation this time and ran my hand up the outside on the rubber itself, and into the grooved flap/channel at the top (roadster owners will know what I mean, not sure if it's there on the coupe) and BINGO! My finger slipped straight into a hole in the rubber right at the bottom of the channel, where the fold is. Bugger I'm going to try and superglue the whole thing together again tomorrow and see if that works, but failing that it looks like I'll be needing an entire new rubber to replace it. I dare say that's not going to be cheap from Nissan either, but I can't go without my regular roof-down-raining drives, it wouldn't be right!

    Rear Puncture

Pilot Sport 2 fronts? They should sell, someone had some for sale on here recently and they went IIRC.
  14. Indeed, I'm using the IDA-X305i head unit along with their data cable
  15. It should do. Certainly I can leave my 3GS connected to the car and use the iPod functionality to get the music through the speakers whilst using another app (not when driving, obviously!) so I see no reason why the TT app on an iPhone4 should be any different.
  16. To add on to this, upon my travels round yonder interwebs I came across these little beauties... When I get some spare cash I may treat myself and give this a go I think. It's not going to work out any cheaper than the Stillen kit if I use proper Samco single-ply ducting hose (which I intend to) I think, but I'll get a decent bit of satisfaction out of doing it my way I hope.
  17. So would it make you feel bad if I told you that we've had loads of sunshine down here this year (this week excluded it seems!) and we've got no chance of a hosepipe ban as our reservoir is almost completely full? I'd have told the council bloke to get lost, but probably in slightly less nice terms
  18. Can I be cheeky and get two places? Will of course pay for both 1) Envy Valeting (Tim) 2) SpursMadDave 3) glrnet 4) Ekona 5) Ekona +1
  19. Slightly related, in this month's Total 911 magazine they've done the first ever (to theirs and my knowledge) pro car photoshoot in a magazine using only an iPhone4 and some app or other. Still looks fantastic, and right up with their usual quality shots.
  20. Not good mate, will keep my fingers crossed for a good result for you.

    Brake ducting

I'll have a read of that thread now, cheers Stu
  22. Anyone put any ducting to the front brakes on their Zed and would like to share some tips for doing so? I fancy putting some on mine for track work as it's a cheap 'n' easy mod (I hope!) but was wondering if there's any specific details to take note of, like size of ducting used or a particular route it should or shouldn't go? No worries if not as I'll have a go anyway and take pics or something for a guide, just be good if I can pinch the knowledge of someone who's been there and done it! As always, any notes/comments appreciated chaps.
