  1. Terrific piece of kit and everyone should have them. How much discount out of interest? They're £35 from Demon Tweeks so would need to beat that really.

    255 on rears

I can assure you a ZZ3 in 245 will be the same width as a T1R in 245 Stick with the stock width and profile unless you have cause to change them, and then you change them in relation to each other (i.e. you go wider at the front, you go wider at the back).
  3. If you click the button on the LHS of the topic title it'll take you to the last place you read.
  4. Don't just send them a file with your CV on though, think outside of the box and get yourself noticed: You're going into marketing/PR after all. Make the covering letter look like a rip-off of an advert from the firm you're applying for, i.e. for BMW you'd make it dark and moody and make a play on the words 'Efficient Dynamics' or 'Ultimate Driving Machine' (Ultimate Driving Marketer? I dunno, I've never worked in marketing as you can probably tell!). Or send it in etched into an old brake disc or something, just make it different.
  5. Top work, and good to see EBC replying so quickly too
  6. Nice one Husky, I look forward to their response.
  7. How so Mike? Mate of mine runs them on his VXR220 with AP slotted discs and they're brilliant, certainly AP didn't mention anything about not running certain pads when he spoke to them.
  8. One day I will own one in yellow. Absolutely beautiful cars, mad as a box of frogs and I'd love to have one more than anything. Hell, I'd swap the Zed tomorrow for the right one.
  9. Red stuff = OEM spec, Yellow = better than OEM. Dust is similar on both. Basically buy the Yellows
  10. Yeah, I'm going to call BS on that one too. Who on earth gave you that nugget?
  11. 10/10 for wanting to do something fun, but you're miles out of your depth here I'm afraid. Forget any notion of competing professionally at drifting for now, and just go and see if you actually enjoy it first. As has been said, it's a ridiculously expensive hobby but if you just see it as a hobby then you'll enjoy yourself more. Go into it with ideas of grandeur and you'll probably get frustrated if you don't turn out to be the greatest undiscovered drift king in the world. Really don't mean to **** on your parade, and I genuinely hope you do succeed, but I just want you to be aware of what you're aiming for.
  12. Douglas Valley you say? *spits* Horrible, rip off people. Glad it's all sorted though.
  13. Assuming Brembo fit, I'm using the Performance Friction front discs with matching PF pads all round. Not cheap, but I don't think you'll find a better setup without going down the line of BBKs and such. I also use Endless brake fluid and Goodridge lines and it's a fine setup for track work.
  14. Sounds cheap and nasty. Detailer isn't exactly expensive, why risk it over a couple of quid?
  15. I'd have called the police. If you're in the right in that situation then you call the police.
  16. If it is the trader we all think then I've been there myself and wasn't entirely impressed so I can understand the resentment here for sure, I just don't feel comfortable posting up names and black marking companies when they have no right of reply. If the story is true then that's terrible, but at the same time I could pick a million holes in what little has already been posted.
  17. You've only got one side of the story there chaps, so I wouldn't go announcing names without proof. If the guy in question wants to come over and share his tale then that's one thing, but to print hearsay and Chinese whispers isn't a good thing.

    Oil change

You absolutely must change it unless you want oil everywhere apart from in your engine, and they're about 50p from Nissan themselves so just find your local one and pop in.
  19. That's actually a pretty good analogy, I think I may pinch that one
  20. Or Armourfend, have seen that stuff used in cars in the past and it works very well. Really you want to have flawless paint before you put it on though, and then on older cars you're looking at the cost of a front end respray PLUS the cost of the film itself. That cost is the one thing putting me off getting mine done, although if I were buying brand new I'd build the cost of it into the cost of the car.
  21. That's one's been going for months, along with him getting a 16 year old pregnant and his missus knobbing Kris Commons. It's all interweb rumour and has no truth at all.
  22. Fuel is easy to calculate, as is insurance and tax (as you've already done). The bigger costs over the ST will be things like tyres (£500 a set), brakes, clutches and any other consumables really. There's also the fact that the essentials cost a lot more: If you grenade the engine or 'box on a Fiesta ST it's not going to cost you as much to replace as on a 350Z... That's very worst case scenario though, and is incredibly rare on this car. Always worth keeping in mind though.
  23. That'll have been me then... *runs and hides in shame* I blame the heat. And drink. And anything else that makes me look a little less clumsy! Sorry mate, honest mistake there on my part.
  24. Depends if you like going round corners or not. Mondeo ST TDCi is a good call.
