  1. Just put falken 452 all round on standard car. Changed from some cheap tyres on front and bridgestone 050A on the rear. Tyre noise is much improved above 50 mph, its still quite noisy but I can live with it now. Previously I thought this was the worst aspect of the car. Grip seems ok for the road, fine in wet conditions and dry. So for the price and road use I think these were a good buy. Certainly worth the extra over a budget tyre and the premium options don't seem to be so much better that they are worth the extra money. So overall for all year road use and taking price into account they are very good.
  2. I should be sorted for this now so hijack away
  3. I'm after a stock nissan 350z boot spoiler, preferably in blaze silver. Anyone got one from when they put a different one on lying about ? No idea what these are worth so PM me with price you want and we can go from there. Thanks
  4. Nope, not one person. Maybe its overpriced, but maybe the market is bad for these at the moment. I think I'll probably end up keeping it, its got to be worth £8.5k, well it is to me anyway so if the market price is less than this then I'll be keeping it.
  5. Ask zman alex he had some for £24 I think.

    fuel costs

Wow, I generally struggle to get much over 300 out of a tank. I'm not driving like a loon either, although admittedly I am driving in traffic. You must have mostly motorway driving in that ?
  7. I've got some sorted now. Thanks to all who PM'd

    fuel costs

I use mine for commuting, I get average 24 mpg, however I also have the odd trip down the motorway. I suspect its mid to high teens in traffic. Its not the best on fuel, but not really bad either.

    Rays alloys wanted

Fair enough, just that I've seen a few really good sets sell for around that - but I'm not expert. Just want to pay a fair price both for the seller and myself.

    Rays alloys wanted

I'm after a full set of standard Rays (as came with the later cars) alloys to fit a UK 04 car (if it makes any difference) Price wise to give you an idea...... I am willing to pay between £300-£500 depending on the state of the wheels (marks, curbing) / tyres (brand, treads etc). I would pay up to £400 for a set of mint (no marks etc) wheels without tyres. PM me if you have anything. Ideally like them by the end of nov if possible, but not that worried. I'm in berkshire, clearly would be advantagous if they were located within a few hours drive.
  11. Still looking for some. Someone must have some standard orange reflectors that will fit an 04 car that they want to shift. I can get some new genuine nissan clear ones for around £45 so I'm thinking I'll pay upto around £25 for a used set. I don't want any bling/non standard ones thank you. PM me if you have anything.
  12. 70,000 miles, uk car, GT pack, Sat nav, 6spd, bose sound system, good service history, owners manual etc, lots spent over the past year. Its recently had new front discs, yellow stuff pads, hel brake lines and brake fluid fitted at abbey motorsport. New wishbones ,new exhaust, new boot struts, new mats. Nismo V2 ? spoiler with carbon fiber effect. later bonnet. I have original front bumper if required. HPI clear, not been crashed etc. One front wheel is curbed by me (idiot ) but not too bad. Otherwise cosmetically very good. Next service in May. Mot due 30th nov and front tyres low (will need replacing) hence price. £8500. I'm not going to shift on price much, I can trade it in if I go any lower. PM if interested. Some pictures:
  13. We have both, almost nothing in it in a straight line. Clio is a great car. 350Z isn't the fastest in a straight line though is it now so shouldn't surprise you too much
  14. I've just taken 25mm spacers off my car. I bought it with them on and thought the car was crap, didn't realise it was largely down to the spacers. I took them off for safety reasons as I plan to use the car on track at least a few times a year. The suspension on my car is all stock UK stuff. The car now drives more like I was expecting, steering and ride are much better and the balance front to rear is much better. Its now possible (just) to use the throttle to steer the car or at least adjust the line of the car where it wasn't really before as you just got loads of understeer. Before the car had the feel of an aftermarket kit that had been set up all wrong. Now it drives much better. Its still not perfect, the diff could be improved a lot - you can still go round a corner with front wheels understeering and the inside rear spinning away but the balance is better before the limit of grip now. The only negative impacts for me are looks and also there is more body roll but as handling has been improved its not the issue it might be. I suspect it is possible to adjust the suspension geometry using some more aftermarket parts to get it working correctly with spacers.
