Just keep an eye on the oil level, these usually only weep a small amount, there is no chance of it getting past the plug as its an air tight seal

I`m not sure. It is on the check list but so are several other things that I`m not convinced they bother doing. Just to access it`s general road driving maybe ? Excuse for the mechanic to razz it round (and sometimes crash it) ?? If I had a 370, I make sure I sat in with any mechanic test drive. The 370 that ended upon its roof was picked up from his work by Nissan and crashed on the way there ! Was that a P1 ? What was the cost ? I paid £130 at tdi north with millers oil

the bonnet latch is in the middle at the front, might be able to get a wd40 straw to spray it, yeah the bonnet needs to go down to take take the stress off the latch so the cable will work easier, so yes pull the release handle and press down then up on the bonnet

try squirting some wd40 through the bonnet gap at the latch, also when you pull the cable, press down then up on the bonnet
