    370z Akebono

Hi, I sprayed them with hammerite smooth spray, very light thin coats to build the colour, allow each coat to dry and don't rush, I've used this on my last 3 cars, the last was a 911 I had for 4yrs and they still looked as good 3yrs after I sprayed them It doesn't crack or fade I can give you a contact for the akebono decals if you are using them, I was torn between black or white decals Hth Paul You make it sound so simple Paul, they look great, I think I will give it a go. Akebono decals would be super.....oooo black pm on its way
  8. We are just the cannon fodder if needed
  9. Maybe post in one of tims own threads, he's more likely to look there
  10. Strut brace is easy as that doesn't need masking. I used VHT paint just to be extra-safe on the temperature side. The engine cover is a bit of a pig as I opted to wet sand the silver areas down to get them flat first. Then you have to mask it all up. If I did it again I probably wouldn't bother with the sanding and would just paint it as-is. This is what i did and it worked fine
  11. Have you tried a new battery ? Just incase that one spiked and has discharged
  12. I can't see the pics on my phone but it looks great
  13. It's not normal, Ive fitted hundreds of pads and discs As above the dust guard would give a horrible loud noise if it's bent and touching the disc Best of luck, post back what it is, may help someone in the future

  15. Daft question, and I ask because I have known it to happen.... Are the pads in the right way round ? Is there any scoring on the discs ? Is it only noisy when you brake ? Are there any metal filings around the caliper or inside the wheel rim ?
  16. Was it a generic map or custom ?

They're NA man. I was just generalising Golf's (Sorry not just R32's) As my old 1.8T was all the above ^^ Untill the Turbo went at 166k Miles was it still under warranty i like the r32 but it's just not as fast as it should be out of the box, small hatchback with a big engine, my corrado vr6 felt quicker
