    New Seats

As long as you like them
  2. You are very welcome to give me a call when you are testing / trying them, i'll PM you my number and you can call me if easier. The code i got was a cam position actuator bank 1, i swapped that from my own 350z but it didn't work so then swapped the crank sensor, both cam sensors and the 2nd cam actuator but it was still the same I then changed all the spark plugs (which needed a change!) then the car wouldn't start at all, all wiring was removed then replaced but it was starting but still the same, miss fire / all 3 lights on. With the engine cover removed and the engine running you'll need to pull the grey plug very slowly from the coilpack, if the engine starts to struggle or stall then that pack is good but if it runs the same unplugged then that's the bad coilpack. When replacing each plug make sure you push it home as this exposed my problem as the plug wires were ill fitting, if this is your problem give it a quick spray with some electrical cleaner and try to close up the clips a little with a small screwdriver and that'll do the trick If that doesn't make complete sense give me a call and i'll explain over the phone, it'll be easier to remove the plastic engine cover first and then you'll have full access to see properly. Dave.
  3. I've just sorted a similar problem, i had slow to start and missfire issues that i thought was a crank sensor but it turned out to be a wiring plug to a coilpack issue..........took me ages to find the rascal I took off the plastic engine cover then, with the engine running, slowly unplugged / reconnected each plug until i found the culprit. It lit up the CEL, ABS & TCS lights on the dash if that's something you are experiencing? Dave.
  4. Bluetooth seats Dave Not herd of them before :fight: Do JDMs have heated seats Some do
  5. I bought my Mrs a Boxster S for Xmas and i've got to say it's a great car. I recently bought a 997 Carrera S which is obviously a better car but you really can't knock the Boxster for value and drive. I find most people who state it's a poor mans Porker couldn't afford one themselves so that really wouldn't concern me as they certainly are not the cheapest to run. Pretty heavey on fuel and eats rear tyres........or is that just the way she drives it
  6. Make sure you use lots of PlusGas release spray on the nuts you'll be removing, WD40 is not as good so get some PG on them! Make sure you use a decent 10mm spanner, a poor fitting one will only round the nut making life much harder. When fitting your new discs make sure the face of the hub is 100% clean otherwise your discs will quickly warp, use a wire brush and brake cleaner for this. If you have the non-Brembo calipers it's a good time to re-paint them and doesn't take too long. Keep the brake fluid reservoir full when bleeding the brakes otherwise it'll run dry (as i did ) and finally don't miss the inner bleed nipples on the rear calipers (if you have Brembos) as i also did then spending several hours trying to remove the air from the system until the good chaps on here pointed me in the correct direction Bleed the calipers in this order, if you have Brembos it's the inner side nipple first........1st rear passenger side, 2nd drivers side front, 3rd drivers side rear then passenger side front. If i've made any incorrect statements please feel free to correct me Dave.
  7. I just take the keys out, disconnect the negative, then the positive and lift out the dead battery.........refit the new one in reverse of the removal and off ya go
  8. He seems to have everything i ever need and his service is great!
  9. I recently bought a Cobra exhaust from Tarmac and i really like it I got a resonated system as i'm getting old and wish to retain my hearing a little longer. It was a pretty good fit and looks quite well built especially for the money, i did look at some of the more expensive systems but as i never seem to keep my cars for long it seemed a little pointless! Dave.
  10. Just had an email from Norton about a Trojan virus affecting Macs, worth a look.
  11. Use the tip of your fingernail to see if it's going to polish off, if it's a raised mark it'll come off, if it's an indented type mark then it won't Dave.
  12. PM sent for a few bits if still available
  13. I went to Coco Bongo's the night before we went swimming with dolphins............that was a bad idea after drinking cheap shots all night
  14. We had a few weeks in the Moon Palace about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. Put on a stone in weight in the first week though so had to but new shirts for the second week
  15. Why was that? Had we beaten you at rugby then as well as this year??
  16. I went for a resonated Cobra system as i didn't want to go back down the K1 loudness route. I'm really happy with it and find it a really nice sounding exhaust
  17. The NMR check is not always accurate but bear in mind unless you get the error corrected it could cause you grief when you come to re-sell. I recently exported a Nissan 200SX with a 'mileage discrepancy' that had the most comprehensive service history i'd ever seen!! It was obviously an error along the way, my customer was fine with it but as said i'd try to use it to lower the price
  18. I've bought from him and all was good, had some Impreza parts from memory if that helps. Dave.
  19. AXA, not great from my experience!!! I run my own business and deal with a fair amount of performance cars, 2 employees one being 22 but was born 40 years old I got a quote from AXA for £3250 that I was happy with but I was kept waiting for the bill to pay. After 2weeks I kept calling as I was worried as I like to keep my insurance up to date, I then got a letter telling me that due to the nature of the cars I sold they had withdrawn cover I then had to spend a lot of time trying to get new insurance with the added joy of being 'insurance declined' because of these idiots!!!! I'm now with Swinton Commercial / NIG and fully covered thankfully!! Dave.
  20. Just pulled up this code P2088, car seems to take a while to start and the TCS & slip lights are illuminated, is this a bank 1 cam sensor? Dave.
  21. That is one seriously sexy car
  22. It's also in the wheels a bit like the Veilside Andrews split rims i had on my RX7, i've taken them off today to have them refurbed so i'll post up some pictures when they are finished. When i reurbed the Veilsides it took me the best part of 3 days and i decided never to refurb split rims again myself but if they are still wanting £600 a set i'll just have to get on with it. I had the car up on the ramp today to check it out properly and it has a set of GAB coilovers and a nice sounding exhaust branded up as ZEE or ZEES Z33..............never seen one of these either Dave.
  23. Just had a JDM 350 arrive with some nice bits, it also has a set of Abflug split rims fitted that i've never seen before. Does anyone else on here have them? Dave.
  24. These do sell pretty well but it has to be in good condition to make decent money!! I've always liked them since i first saw one in the film Back To The Future
