  2. K&N steel heat shield and carbon (look) cover, i didn't use this as it wouldn't fit with my aftermarket bonnet, the steel housing does have has some light storage marks. I've also got a cotton type aftermarket filter of an unknown brand that'd go with it that is brand new / unused. Looking for £25 for the steel air box and carbon (look) cover. £15 for the filter and £20 for the Z seat storage pouch. I'll be at Japfest on Saturday or i can post out at cost if needed. Dave.

  4. As per title, i won't be able to get out on track as i'm pretty sure i'll need to get home for 3pm on Saturday. The slot is for 2pm, looking for £25 for it which i think is a tenner less than i paid for it.
  5. Looks a nice clean one!,
  6. Got my ticket, many thanks!! I've got a track time session for 2pm but i may have to leave around that time so does anyone want this?? dave.
  7. I used to sell a lot of Cooper S Minis but stopped due to the fact that the were so many issues with the damn things!!! There is an issue with the hydraulic tensioner on the timing chain that'll destroy the engine in no time, head gaskets are a real weak point, gearbox is made of chocolate................and all these issues were on sub 30k mile cars!! After the last 3 all cost me a fortune to repair I will no longer sell the evil creatures but this is just my 2p worth :-)
  8. If it goes when you start it'll just be wear in your steering rack, once started and the pump starts working it'll take up the play. Get someone to rock the steering wheel whilst you are under the car and keep your finger tips against the steering arm to see if you can 'feel' the knock. If you can then there's your problems sorted.
  9. Baby oil is pretty good and I've heard that peanut butter apparently is good, personally I like baby oil as it makes my hands soft and it smells nice :-)
  10. What date in 2006 was yours registered? I'm sure the higher date was around 31/03/2006 so wouldn't your car have been registered before this? I remembering SVA'ing a Subaru Impreza WRX (made around 1999'sh year) for a customer and when he registered it he found it had been placed in the higher bracket due to the fact it was SVA registered and therefore classed as a 'new car'. This was a few years ago i admit but he got it back into the lower bracket using a copy of the Japanese De-registration certificate proving the car was first used/registered in 1999 not 2006. This may well be worth a look into as it'll save you a couple of hundred ££££ a year
  11. The K is covered over for a few reasons, when the cars were SVA tested the whole speedo face has to illuminate in an even brightness so where the vehicle preppers would add an MPH sticker it would not illuminate correctly hence the black tape. To replace the whole unit would be too expensive and quite OTT especially when an KMH to MPH convertor chip is only around £30 and an easy task to fit. Any 350z registered in the UK (apart from the very early cars) would have been SVA or IVA tested so any distance run in the UK will be in miles not kms as the car would have had to run in MPH as this is checked as part of the test. If the speedo runs in MPH and shows 180 on the dial then what it'll record in is miles, simple!! The only time it can run in miles and record in kms is when a 'clock face' is fitted but these only display a top speed of 110MPH and are usually a slightly different colour from the rest of the dials.
  12. I like the sound of that! How much are these when new?
  13. What problems are you getting? I've had a few Evo's in that have had a de-cat fitted and the CEL have been removed as they stayed lit after this mod............if you have a similar issue you could replace the bulb and hopefully map the CEL out. If you don't have access to a code reader and are going to Japfest i can always put my 2 readers in the car so you can have a free look at what's going on
  14. If you have Brembo brakes don't forget there are 8 nipples to bleed, I spent the best part of 2 days trying to bleed mine as I didn't notice the inside nipples on the rear!! I did get ribbed a bit on here but I did deserve it for being an idiot. :-)
  15. There was one available from a member 'Scootg', may be worth asking him
  16. No probs, if anyone else wants anything done i don't mind
  17. Make sure you've checked the oil! I've looked over a few lately and with a few owners they haven't bothered because it was awkward to check :-( Welcome to a great forum!!
  18. He's doing several pieces for around the £150 area, I've got some T5 bits to do as well so I'm not 100% what the centre piece would work out at but I'll let you know as soon as I do! I'll be at Japfest so have a look and if you like it you can always post them to me and I'll get them done for you..
  19. I think it'll be the centre piece of the dash, possibly the vents and the window switch surround pieces, he can do wheels, engine covers........anything really and he's pretty reasonable with his prices. I called in there today and he was dipping roof bars in a gold snake skin, looked quite mad finished!!
  20. No I was out having a few beers last night so I was walking not driving :-) Many thanks for the compliments!!
  21. Here she is, home at last!! It's back with just an extra 1500 miles on it, 4 new tyres and rear window tints........saves me from buying them! I had a seat re-trim last year and there's a chap who runs a 'dipping shop' (plastic dipping not a brothel) on my industrial estate so i'll be having a few parts carbon dipped next week.
  22. Many thanks, don't forget to send me your payment details and i'll sort it at once Dave.
  23. I'm getting my old Z back next Friday, really looking forwards to seeing it again as, like you, I've missed it!!
