    Supercharger kit :D

I know it's a bit rash but at least we could fully test the charger . I could call and ask for you but i'd say it's an unlikely possiblity he'd want to take it all off especially if he's not a mechanic. I've got a 330Ci cab in at the moment that's supercharged and that's great fun to drive so i thought it'd be fun to do the same with my 350, i used to own a supercharged Honda NSX and that was brilliant fun..............wish i'd kept that now but i'd keep thm all if i could afford to!! Have a think on it as it looks pretty tidy from the pics.

Vlad, there was a supercharged Z on Pistonheads yesterday for £8000, it's down in West Wales around an hours drive from my workshop. Would that be a better option as you could buy the car, take all the bits off, standardise it with your bits then sell the car . I did think of doing it with my horrendously overpriced car ( ) but i'm too busy as ever to get around to changing it all over. I would be happy to look over it with you and i've got a full dealer HPI account to check it all out if that'd work? You could drop off your interior bits at the same time to the carbon dipping unit near to me Dave.
  3. If it's the 1st June 2006 it's over by a couple of months...............i'd still try for the Jap info though as that's a lot of tax money and i know some dealers would exagerate the date of first registration a few years ago to 'up' a cars age in the interest of profit and it'd work providing the DVLA staff didn't notice

Love Marks mad orange Z!! Seriously eye-catching!!
  5. There's a nice looking supercharged Z for sale in West Wales cheap enough at £8k Brian oops I mean Mark :-) If you fancy a look let me know and I'll come down for a look with you, I don't know the car but as long as she's straight & tidy and runs properly then that's got to be worth a punt? Dave.
  6. Brian?........... Mark you shall forever be known as Brian in my eyes now! Lee, nice to see you here as well :-) Are we all getting old or just need some comfort, reliability and not forgetting not having to turn up stinking of petrol fumes?
  7. Ah i thought i'd read it was a 55 plate so you may have gone past the cut off date Do a lttle research though as it may pay off Dave.
  8. If your car is a 55 plate 2006 car it'll be first registered / used in Japan before the 01/03/2006 hence it's a 55 plate not an 06 plate. This should almost certainly bring you into a mid bracket as the tax bracket Rose slightly in around 2004/05 then massively increased after 31/03/2006. You need to try and get some proof of this from Japan possibly via Nissan? It may take a day or so but it'll be a nice saving not to mention a good selling point! The DVLA should also still have a record of the Japanese deregistration document stating the exact date of first use :-) Dave.
  9. Usually 2 weeks but it can take up to 6 weeks, there is a helpline you can call to find out if it's been processed.
  10. He's supposed to be spending his RX7 money on his extension materials, Im sure he'll end up buying another car though!! You finished up with the RX7's now? I still miss my old blue one and especially the speed, the 350's are a slow old boat compared to the single turbo'd 7's but it's nice to be able to jump into something that'll get you there :-) Yes buddy, we keep chatting cars but extension is on the top of his list, then i get a call out the blue, seen this really nice 350z, lol. Yep, out of 7's and glad of it, the scene is tragic as i am sure Mark has said and probably a lot more honestly than could be said on a public forum. The 350z doesnt match up in the speed department but the what does to a 450+hp car weighing 1200kgs, unless you have hypercar money. The 350z ticks every box though and it does it all very well, i am loving it, i will go the supercharger route one day and then i think it will more than capable I quite fancy a supercharger and there was one for sale just down the road from me but I missed it, I've got a supercharged 330 Beemer cab in and thats great fun to drive and may just be a little quicker than the M3 cab I have for sale. I ended up breaking my last RX7 which was a good move as it netted me around £6k more than it would have sold for. Shame really but that's the way things have gone with the RX scene :-(. I thought Mark may have done the same with his car but he got a good sale after all............hopefully he'll spend wisely on the house as intended!!

  12. Fair play to Steve he's very reasonable and does do a great job! That's probably the reason his business is flat out 6 days a week whereas many other trimers are quiet and have very little to do. His main business is T5 vans now though and he's just done a bespoke quilted design for one of my vans, even that was under a grand which included the VAT so he'll have my business for another decade as he has for the last If you ever need anything done you can always post them to my workshop as he's only a few hundred yards from me and you can deal direct with him financially. He also has the material ther to recover the Pajero Evo seats along with the Mazda RX7 RZ cloth. A few lads off the MRC club have had the RZ seats done with him as they wear so badly even with the low mile cars Dave.
  13. Yodel (the old name was DHL) will take 2 taped together for around £8-50 so cheaper than collecting for most people :-)
  14. Not quite up to speed on this iPad sorry! If anyone wants Steves number at Autostitch or Daves number from Auqagraphix (he did all the carbon dipping) just let me know :-)
  15. It's run on my company insurance where anything I use personally has to be for sale............without stating the obvious does this now make sense ;-) I found this out the hard way when a young idiot ploughed into the back of my car that wasn't up for sale and has left me out of pocket for £13,000.00 for over a year and still counting, for a small company that's owned and run by me alone that's a lot of money :-( Riks old car? That was originally a black car not white from what I remember so I don't think so! I was in discussion with him to buy it a few years ago but then a new workshop / unit became available to buy so I had to put my money into that instead. The seats were done by Steve at Autostitch in Blackwood and were pretty reasonable at £450 but I had these done a while ago. I bought this from the original importer around 15 months ago but had to sell as I decided to build myself a house but then took it back as a part ex last month. Out of all the 350's I've had I liked this the most especially as it's an original colour not a repaint so it can stay with me for as long as I decide to keep it :-) I did expect lots of 'opinions' but I do like a good banter especially when it comes to what it's worth discussions but let's please keep it friendly, from my previous posts you'll find a few posts where I do try to help people and join in with advice where I can as a fellow enthusiast If anyone wants Steves contact details for the seats
  16. That's my car :-) It is expensive but it's got a good spec and I'm quite happy to keep it for a long time as I am enjoying using it! Dave.
  17. If the wipers and washers clear the screen I'd be having words with the tester especially if he tried to fail me!
  18. Whatever you decide to do just be careful not to overheat too often as you'll be needing new heads otherwise plus you'll still need to sort the issue that caused the overheating in the first place. When you did your text was the engine bay warm? The reason i ask is that some parts will work when cold but once up to temp they die with the heat, i'm not a mechanic but i do sell cars for a living and i know from experience that a stich in time can save you far more in the future Dave.
  19. I've just had mine back today after being carbon 'dipped' and it looks fantastic (if you like the cf look that's is). I had both sides done, the passenger grab handle and the centre piece of the dash all done for £200. Dave.
  20. Air box, cover and filter all provisionally sold to Kris, seat pouch thingy still available. Dave.
  21. Hi Kris, think it's empty now, the messages went back years
