    DAY TO DAY CAR

There must be one closer to home you could take a look at and test drive. Guy
  3. Noooooooo no steam cleaning for me Trade secrets ok, I'll bring mine over some time..... I'll make the brews and watch you sort it! If only we could all do that. Nice GTO.
  4. From above the car looks great but I think it looks amazing without the spoiler. Strange as that sounds.
  5. That was blue!!!!!!!!! @*!# now I have to watch that show again to see.
  6. People like that find themselves unemployed rapidly. Only one I can think of is the Smart which is said to top out at 94mph.
  7. I actually like the BM styling. 3, 5, 7 and Z4 coupe all look great. But not the Onezy. I think it looks cheap in comparison and I feel it brings the brand down. Now lets throw this one into the mix. The new Merc C class. How much of a BMW is it???????? I saw the ad and thought "Nice BM". Then it paned round to the front and the Merc logo became visible.
  8. Agreed. Always thought of the Onezy as the runt of the BMW family and people who buy them are muppets.
  9. Thanks for the download. First time I’ve watched that show in years and all going well the last. I hate that woman. G-force had nothing to do with it. She was a troll to begin with. Couldn’t believe she leaned over the car with a jacket on. Anyway, that was my first look at the car and I like it. Ignition drum light is totally JDM so it probably has footwell lights to go with it. As for the gear change light, I’ve set mine to the max if it comes on it means I’ve stuff it and hit the limiter. Mutler is actually right about changing gear on sound alone. I was surprised she didn’t follow that by mentioning the fact that the rev counter is in the centre instead of the speedo. Nothing new about it in the Z of course but it is an important feature of sports cars.
  10. Just found this: http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Insurance/InsureYourCar/10StatesWithTheToughestTickets.aspx About half way down is a table (which maybe out of date now) that shows fines for first time offenders in each state. You will be surprise at what a judge/cop can impose. I will say after driving 10k miles don't speed in rural towns (limit can be 25mph), don't speed in construction zones (use the cruise control) and use a front and rear detector. I found a lot of cops sitting waiting as you crossed a state line or on the entry to a town. Unmarked cops had a big lamp hanging above the drivers wing mirror. Take you time and see as much as possible of a huge country. Guy
  11. The Bullrun took place in the US from May 11 to 18. Entry fee $17.5k
  12. The fines are massive depending on the state. It used to be about 60 bucks now its hundreds or up infront of the local judge. I blasted round the states for a month in a mustang doing 10k miles and never got caught. All you need is good eye sight and a very good radar/laser detector. Guy
  13. http://www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk/ "The Cannonball Run Europe 2007 takes place from the 1st - 7th July. The entry price is £4500" "The Great American Run Date: July 29 - Aug 4, 2007 Cost: $10,000 USD" Or is he refering to the Bullrun?
  14. I'm with you on the weight distribution issue. The Z has been designed with a specific balance in mind which would also take into account weight in the boot. (Back to the golf club topic ) I also wouldn't buy a convertible that was first designed as a coupe. To be brutally honest I hate nearly all convertibles. They just look wrong. Two seaters look better that four. Most are too flat looking. The convertible Z I do like but not with the roof up. Guy
  15. I do huge amounts of backups every night in work. For a home PC I'd do a data backup to tape and then do a separate system backup. Cant recommend any home PC backup software though as the stuff we use costs thousands so we can do mailbox recovery as well as file and full system recovery. See if you can get your hands on a copy of Seagate Backupexec. Not fond of system restores. Prefer to rebuild. Is it just data you want to backup?
  16. What about a Peugeot 407 diesel? Better looking than the Laguna I think. Might cost a bit more.
  17. Dickhead. What's the car on the right of the z in the second video?
  18. Last Christmas my mother had to take my brother to the airport because his suit case wouldn't fit my car. This year he's been instructed to bring a duffel bag or else I’ll leave him at the airport when I go to collect him.
  19. 350z is a muscle car/sports car. The only requirement in the design process was to be able to fit in a set of golf clubs. That’s why the height of the boot space is perfect for them. I used to have a Peugeot. One day at the dealership I took a look round the cc when it was first launched. Not only were the rear seats a waste of space but with the seat all the way back I still couldn’t sit in it without my knees in the dash. I’ve mentioned this before but an Audi sales rep told me the rear seats, however impractical, are included as it helps sell more cars.
  20. Service cost me €208. Oil change seemed to take most of the noise away. Two mechanics went for lengthy test drive and could hear anything. Very strange. Was the same mechanic as before so he knew what to listen for. I can still hear some noises but not like before. I asked them to lubricate the drop linkage as it was bugging me and now it’s worse then before. Will have to go back. They said to drop round any time if I start hearing noises again. One bad point for the garage. I spoke to sales man about new Z and he was to call with prices for trade in. Never heard back.
  21. I'm still looking at the Endless gear. :teeth:
  22. Cos its not. Manufacturers cater to the market. We recently got the Nissan Tillda in Ireland where as the UK apparently isn't getting it. The current version of the Micra was launched in Ireland because we have the highest sales per capa of them. Shameful I know. US manufacturers don’t sell a lot of their cars here and the Mondeo isn’t available in the US. I think the Focus is the first small engined car compared to the norm in the US to sell over there. I do believe Nissan did sell a small number of UK spec’d Skylines over the years. Asking price was way too high though.
  23. Phil, would you like to post a quick "how to" on this?
  24. Shame the video has music over the sound of the car. Muppet
