As the subject says are these the GT4 wheels??? If so I hate to tell you GT4 owners but they are stock on the 07 Z here. Looking at a black Z at the moment. It's being used as a demo model. If I want it I can take ownership of it at the end of August. Doesn't sound like a big deal but there's only 5 07 cars in Ireland and 3 are sold. Nissan really limit the numbers here. Went to my dealer yesterday. He got all excited about a big sale (€58000) but his face dropped when Nissan Ireland told him he couldn't have one till 2008. Guy

Really feel for you Dan. One question which you should ask yourself. What advice would you give a mate if they were in the same situation and you weren't? If it were me (again) I'd delete all contact numbers/email address. I know that's harsh and would be very difficult to do but if you were offering advice to a mate you'd be telling him to move on. BTW, a big to all the guys on here. Great advice that I wish people had given me in the past.

This really is a good example of why you should never collect your car in the evening. I do realise this bloke probably didn't but you know what I mean. If it was me I'd refuse to accept the car back in that condition, call the local cops, demand to see the garage manager and service manager and call the head office while standing in the garage in front of them. As soon as the car is out the gate they'll deny all responsibility. It’s a shame so many garages act like this. If you speak to more senior staff they’ll agree that word of mouth is vital to their business and are well aware of the forums on the web. Many sales staff browse forums and are members of some. When I got my Z the sales man who didn’t even own one chatted to me about various forums including this one. The owner of the Jag must have been in tears when he saw it.

Love the 8 series. I do hope it makes a return to the bmw line up. (Any rumors kev?) Personally I think graphics should only go on Jap cars but I still wouldn't want them. If you ignore the graphics the car looks great. The interior is awesome and was definitely needed. Old bmw interiors like merc suck imo. Guy

Cops in Ireland have three devices for comms. Mobile phones which they got free by doing a deal with the operators to put up a mast on every station. Old and I mean very old radio system that anyone can listen in to with the right equipment. And lastly a digital radio system that is a little harder to listen in on. Usually you can only hear one side of the conversation. "Got a group of suspicious looking teenagers here..... Yep they're wearing huddies". The digital system doesn't work very well so they tend to use the other two. A good detector doesn't need line of site to pick up the radar or laser. As far as I know both are very "loud" so as long as you're not way over the limit you'll have time to adjust your speed. Valentine One is my recommendation. I’ll be getting one soon. The Irish government has decided to privatise speed cameras. Guy

Dell alternate their offers every two weeks so that deal will be back on. I tell people to wait for the free double memory offer which tends to run every two weeks. The Dell outlet is great for home users. Most of the PC’s are cancelled orders rather then returns but the spec can be a bit random. i.e crap monitor or no dvd writer. Worth a look as you can save quite a bit. HP are also worth a look in now. Dell are laying off staff in the main factory in Limerick for cost cutting reasons. Apparently HP are now number one in the market. For a home PC I just tell people to set a budget and buy whatever spec you can get. It’s a bite the bullet deal. Specs are constantly changing so just do it. With Dell I think there’s no problem so long as you avoid the entry level PC’s (small things) and low spec laptops (motherboards tended to fail a lot).

Wow, kev is right although when the M6 was first launched I saw a review that said it was heavier. M5 = Unladen 1830kg M6 = Unladen 1785kg
