Do you know how to edit your registry?
-
I think there's a way to stop that while your trying to fix it. I'll have a look for info.

Try this to begin with. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/securit ... fault.mspx Probably just spyware. Annoying but not the end of the world. Assume you have some sort of anti-virus software installed that is set to auto update? Guy

Guess it's time I start looking for a Garlardo. When I parked my 04 beside the 07 at the dealer the bulge made it look so much better. Very mean. Will post more pics from different angles.

For me I'd have it without the GT3 kit but that's just me.

Not up close. Collected Saturday. Washed that evening. Small dealer stickers removed from bonnet, rear bumper and rear windscreen. Washed again Sunday. Swirl treatment. Polished. Waxed. Layer of trafic dust Monday. It'll be more noticeable as she's black but I had to buy her.
-
She was shinier but there’s now a layer of traffic dust and it rained this am. The bulge and new front grill. Interior same as MY06 I guess except ignition drum now has an orange light. I believe there's a new exhaust. Would take a look see but in a suit wouldn't be a good idea. Cheers, Guy

If you drive a new Toyota or something like an Astra or Focus you’ll find the clutch is completely unresponsive. No feel to it. You can bang the pedal without a second thought. The problem with that is when using 1st there’s no pressure or weight behind it. When you release it it flicks back at you. It’s hard to describe but in a strange way I’d say it’s less mechanical and more electric if that makes sense. It’s great though for higher gears as you just flick through them. I always hate driving an Avensis, Astra or Focus as combined with the dead clutch you have power steering that has no weight to it at any speed. It makes driving very easy but I find it dangerous not to be able to feel the car through my hands and feet. The steering on MY07 is lighter then MY04 but you can still feel the wheels and what the rear is doing. The steering wheel might even be a little bigger. Even the seat feels different. In the old car I’d have to tilt my head back to rest it on the headrest. Now the headrest is inline with the seat so my back is straight. From the first moment I sat in it I felt totally at home. Perfect driving position. Two chargers would be interesting but as there's no gains apart from noise I'd be one of those that wouldn't bother. I think Nissan have developed the 3.5 into a great engine and don't want to mess with the setup. Guy

If the sun decides to make an appearance today I'll get some photos. Guy

Just spotted the LEDs on the front that replaced the orange reflector. Very

That's true Sarnie. I installed the Parrott in my Celica. Perfect audio quality on all bluetooth phones. I've discovered the phone kit is an option in Ireland. Sucks. We get the Bose 6 CD as stock so we also get the steering controls. I'm guessing the mic is installed as standard as well.
-
Sorry Gus. Should of made myself clear. What I need is the complete kit. Cradle and all. I have a bt adaptor from my old Z but have no cradle to fit it into. Guy
-
Anyone know how much this costs? Just traded for an MY07 and it never dawned on me that it wasn't already installed. Mic is in the roof and controls are on the steering wheel so I figured it was there and didn't think about it again until I pick her up today. In hindsight I should of remebered the controls are stock with the stereo and checked to see if the kit was there. Need an idea of price and if I can install myself or do I have to go to Nissan. Cheers, Guy

The car is great. The clutch really is annoying. It’s not really mechanical now. Will have to get used to it. Slowing down it actually sounds like a super charger spinning down. Odd. Twin intakes sounds great but you get used to it far too quick. Put the foot down in 3rd and there was a definite sound of air sucking in. It's much faster then an MY04. When I got back to Dublin I found very difficult to keep the speed down. She doesn’t want to drive at 30. Biggest problem so far is removing the dealers graphics. Got them off but left the adhesive residue. Going to try tar remover now.

I’m back. Weather sucked for most of it. Sorry about pics. Using phone until I claybar, polish, wax and remove some dealer graphics. Arrived, deal done, got car, hit the road and within minutes meet To make matters worse I had to drive over freshly laid tar. Anywho. Back home in one piece. Love it. I think it’s a lot faster than MY04. Hit 200kph before I even realised it. Handles better. Don’t like the clutch much.
-
Leaving now to collect new car. Can you believe I never got a chance to take pics of her. Plenty of other people did. Have a nice 233km trip down in MY04 and 233km trip back in MY07. Guy

Isn't that what cloning is? Someone makes a plate that matches the car and colour of one that isn’t stolen. Guy

I would be of the opinion that if an individual can find and use facebook then they are well able to use a search engine to find information and clubs relating to the Z. Every time I receive an email from facebook it's because a mate that rarely uses a PC has signed up and dumped in all the mail addresses of people they know in. I've no problem with people signing themselves up. Just not for me. Guy

From wiki Presume it's like a courteous directory enquiries that will actually help you as opposed to hand delivering a pizza at the touch of a button. Guy

@*!#. This just reminded me I have to go in search of mine tonight. Hand her over to the dealer in less than 24hrs. Guy

Most dealers should be happy to take an order now. We all know the car is coming and it’s a safe bet that numbers to each country will be limited. Based on that most dealers wont even get a showroom model. If they take an order now they can tell Nissan GB in advance that they require x number. It’s a big deal for them to sell their top model. The MY07 arrived here in June. I believe 5 were allocated to Ireland for 2007. Two were registered by dealers as demo models and the others I can only assume were sold. Never saw them advertised. One there is registered as a demo is being driven by the garage owner. He sold a Z earlier this year and missed it so much that he's keeping the new one until he's offered the asking price. Not a penny less. Unfortunately for him he wants full price. About €60k. Nismo kit is not an option. In fact there are virtually no options. We get the GT model only. No sat nav. Options incl the likes of floor mats, tonneau cover, parking sensors, mud guards, cargo nets. Guy
