Dumped this into Off Topic as it relates to Ireland and couldn’t decide what area it might go in. (Mods - move and delete first line if needed) Anywho... Maxol are replacing their unleaded with a 95% unleaded and 5% bioethanol mix which they claim has an average octane rating of 99.2 in all of their stations. As we all know the Z would prefer an min of 98 octane but will run on 95. 95 is all that’s available in Ireland now. Even Shell’s vpower is rated at 95 here even though it costs substantially more. The state “E5, which contains 5% bioethanol, can be used by drivers of standard petrol powered vehicles without modifications being required to engines while also protecting the manufacturer’s warranty.â€

I traded in my 04 Blue Pearl for an 07 Black. Love it. Much better drive and sooo much faster in my opinion.

Watched it all the way to work today and it settled slightly over 14 after warming up.

15 seems a bit high. Will go check now. Yea, I would say that's a bit high. Mine sits nicely between 12.5 and 13.

Most demos are driven by the manager but don't let that put you off. I've also found many love the car and look after it. When the dealer called me today on an unrelated mater he asked how "his car was". He actually hates the two versions of the z prior to the 07. Is Dan about?

Both my Z's have been ex-demos but I know over here the dealers wont let any old muppet test drive a z so I'm not concerned.

Just got a call from the dealer where I bought my 07. He said there's no touchup paint available from Nissan for the 2007 black z. Bit annoying but not a problem. Will get a paint shop to mix it for me. I enquired about my 04 z as in had he sold it. He said he was taking someone out for a test drive recently. Started it up and the engine and traction control lights both came on and there was no drive at all in her. They suspect the throttle body but how embarrassing is that for a dealer. Guy

I would say it'd be cheaper to buy an 07 rather then trying to mod an 06 engine to be like an 07.

My OEM brakes (MY07) make a slight squeal just as you described only not as bad. Slowing down. Lightly touch brake. It's not too embarrassing. Could be a lot worse and sound like yours. Sounds a lot like the noise racing cars make when coming to a standstill. Almost a metal on metal sound. Guy

Question is asked. Accurate answer is given. Lock thread. I’ve no problem with that when the subject matter is quite specific. Here’s a possible solution. Place another button which appears beside the locked button (normally fast reply) saying request unlock or something like that. This then opens a pm to the mod’s where the user can state the reason for the request. This could leaves the mod’s with the ability to lock threads that initially contained valuable information to other users but are rapidly turning into post whore drivel territory. No offence. Guy

Looks ok. My 04 looked the same. It's the fitting between the bumper and the fenders that is the clear tell of a replacement bumper due to an accident.

James Bond driving a Nissan. I cant see it happening. There's also some sort of switch/button in front of the gear stick. Anyway, has nothing to do with the GT4. Paul, does your GT4 not have the plaque with the number?
