  1. Even though I don't have mine I do have the odd nosey to see how prices are - in case they become cheap enough as a 2nd car Dunno if this is relevant but seems to be up your street. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/723967.htm Probably cheaper as most of them seem to have Nav. Keep checking autotrader etc. I've seen the odd 313 turn up on there at dealers around the £20k mark (saw one orange one at 19995 at a Nissan dealer). I think that redline one was up for £24-25k when I got rid of mine (May) so you can see how values have been hammered. The dealer told me they were dropping £600 a month on trade prices.
  2. Hi All, When I had my P1 done it was a fixed 250 quid (Westway). They told me I had 3mm left all round on my tyres. The rears seem to be worn funny (as it some form of stagger was in effect) (on the insides for sure). I found it a bit odd than on a heavy rear wheel drive car all 4 tyres were worn equally?? I'd say I was glad I wasn't having to swap them but my new Mondeo has 18" wheels with RE050A's on (virtually same size) so - sods law Never mentioned the brakes during the service. I had 8200 miles on mine and got it at 5.5k miles but I never tended to use them hard - bit anal but i used to wipe the dust off every week even if I didn't wash the car just to keep on top of it. I never found the clutch juddery - it's the throttle is so sharp in 1st gear that you kangeroo easily. Most of the time I let the clutch out at virtual tickover to try to be smoother. Bah sunny days make me wonder if a diesel tin top is a good idea Enjoy guys.
  3. When I had mine my commute was 3 miles each way in stop/start traffic. At best I got into 3rd gear. Tbh so long as I didn't thrash it I was of the opinion it shouldn't matter what the journey its a car and is designed to do all manner of things. Personally yes I could bike/bus etc to work but I'm paying enough in tax, insurance etc I'm going to bloody well use the car plus I'm less sweaty and feel more secure in a car. Never could see myself carrying a 2 grand laptop on my back while biking to work. My real world figures on an 07 engine version were worst 10.2mpg at best 13.5mpg - schools probably off But then on the weekend I would go out in it and give it a blast anyway.
  4. Stam. I had to get mine serviced before I px'd and I asked about the recall (someone on here had mentioned it). He double checked and from what he said it's for the 07 313's only. The dealer told me to give em a bit of notice for the parts but they would require the car for an entire day
  5. Good question. My mpg apart from once on a 240 mile motorway trip has pretty much never been above 20mpg. Not sure if my 07 was extra thirsty but stop / start driving just seemed to kill the mpg. On a bad day I saw 10.4! The mpg wasn't a deciding factor to swap tbh (as I say cost wasn't the issue) espcially as higher octane isn't that far off diesel.
  6. Hi All, Well today in the rain was the last day in my roadster and now she is mine no more. I gave her a good polish/waxing a few days ago (always worth the sunburn and 5 hours of work) - shame this dirty rain ruined it today! In some ways I will miss the car engine note especially and top down recently was fantastic - big smiles - but to be honest I think overall I'll be happier without it. Why you may ask? Well certain things you only discover over time and living with the vehicle. The appauling visibility, poor use of space, paintwork so thin a gnat farting would scratch it and as stupid as it was when I had the fan belt fail I lost faith in the car/manufacturer. Don't get me wrong I don't regret buying the car at the time as I fell in love with it and at least I can say (many can't) - I've owned a roadster and a 300bhp beast of one! So you might ask what did I swap to. Well I've now got a brand spanking new 2.2 TDCI fully loaded Mondeo (175bhp and plenty of torques!). It drives well, goes well, has loads of toys and I will be less stressed about parking it up than I was with the Z. And no I didn't swap for money reasons (I would have like a 2.5turbo Ford) as depreciation etc will take a fair while to get over - it was for practicality, peace of mind etc. Whilst the driving experience is vastly different I got 14mpg in the Z and 40 in the Mondeo and was no slower (twisty country roads no straights to allow overtakes and speed cameras everywhere). Who knows in a few years I might go back to something a bit mad. Depends if this government (or a new one) decide motorists are not the scum of the earth - I think from talking to the dealer and watching prices of Z's (and R32's for example) prices are dropping as people are fearful that the government are going to rape these type of cars even more over the coming years - which is a crying shame. I would like to extend a big thanks to all the peeps on here who advised me and answered foolish questions over the last few months. Take care.
  7. Dunno if they moved anything on the 07's but I had my car serviced yesterday and noticed water underneath the car when I came back from the dealers. Was there today aswell - so rang them up being paranoid they have mucked up. My pool of water is just behind the passenger side front wheel. Dealer told me it's the air con condensing water and dripping out. Makes sense with the hot weather - 1st time I've used the air con I think since I've owned it.
  8. My car had it's 1st service today (nearly a year old). When I collected I asked about the TSB for clutch and he went away checked and told me yes the car does need it. I need to give them a couple of days notice to get the parts and then they need the car for a whole day. Oh well if I still have it guess I'll get it done soon.
  9. I did a trip to London a week ago 240 miles averaged 56mph and 28.8 mpg - the best I have ever seen (used just over a half a tank). Then did my 3 mile daily commute (average 14mph and saw my lowest ever 10.1mpg!!). Dropped a 1/4 of a tank in 24 miles - only money eh
  10. 2 things annoy me 1 - I want a clock and the digital speedo 2 - One shot passanger window please!! Other than that I'd put up with anything else for the price
  11. The yellow roadster reminds me how close I came to a yellow S2000. Hmmm wonder how much a full respray in yellow would be....
  12. lol GIXXERUK A glovebox (in the traditional sense) would be a bonus
  13. Only problem I had was one gloomy morning had the lights on and needed to turn right over mini roundabout and dozy woman decided my indicators weren't high enough/bright enough and tried to drive her Versio MPV into me
  14. Hi All, At the moment I'm looking at getting rid of my car to something more practical. So I had checked networkQ glasses guide etc. Thought I'd have a cheeky look on auto trader and OMG 07 313 GT Roadster with 11k miles for 22995 from a Nissan Dealer. £31k brand new a year ago gulp! So I thinking now if I had to P/X I'm gonna have my pants pulled down big time. I might end up keeping it at this rate - I didn't expect to lose this much in a few months. They were £25k+ when I bought mine(ex-demos).
  15. At cold start mine ildes at around 1700 rpm. Within a minute or so its down to 1k and then within a couple more 750-800. I tend to wait for it to settle before setting off - in a tight car park tickover at those revs is quick enough People always look at you funny starting it cold in car parks - like a Z needs more attention
