  1. He just stated his 12th car in his amazing collection is a mini cooper s. I feel bad for the other cars.
  2. The amount of idiotic posts on that thread is driving me insane. I've lost count of the number of muppets that have posted Lotus Exige as their guess. I know in May from the other thread that he has or had a supra tt but I really hope he sold it just to make the conclusion a little more interesting. Don't get me wrong, the supra is a great car with a wonderfull engine but those idiots pay over 100k US for a manual 6sp tt. They cost a fraction of that here. We should be exporting them. There are loads here.
  3. I wouldn't like to guess. I know here in Ireland it cost me €700 to get a clutch fitted to my Celica which was front wheel drive. If you really think it's the release bearing you should also replace the clutch and clutch plate at the same time or so I'm told. It would of course same money in the long run if you had to replace the clutch. The release bearing does make a noise anyway and although replacing it might fix it it will return very quickly. Z's make noise. Be sure it is coming from where you think it is. It sounds a lot like what I had on my 04 and I could clearly hear it in the cabin behind the peddle.
  4. I would of thought because the air bags all work together to protect you. Could be wrong.
  5. So you’ve put a bit of grease behind the dust cover on the operating cylinder. (Sounds like I know what I’m talking about eh ) I did the same thing on my Celica when there was a squeak coming from the clutch arm. Caused by the arm vibrating. My trusted Toyota mechanic said it was a quick solution to replacing the release bearing which I maintained they damaged on a test drive while I was a passenger. Noise wasn’t there before abs test. Noise was there after. Anyway, if you haven’t done it already, get a buddy to listen from passenger seat while you drive and also while stationary. Then while stationary have him listen again with the hood up. If its coming from the clutch/release bearing/operating cylinder he should be able to hear it distinctly. The z does make a lot of odd noises. Some really do sound sick. The two that I had were the slow creak sound from behind the peddle and what sounds like a boiling kettle when the clutch is released. It also reminded me of a cement mixer. If its your bearing it should sound like a high pitched near constant squeak when the clutch is released. Any help?? Guy
  6. This would be my guess. Someone with more experience should be able to say otherwise. Clutch peddle on my 07 has a different layout so I cant go check it for comparison. Guy
  7. As stated I had this on my 04. The noise was coming from somewhere behind the peddle rather than the peddle itself. Had I not been trading in my car I would of sprayed some grease where the peddle or cable connects to something else. The grease wouldn't be going near the clutch so it shouldn't slip. I’ll have a look at the manual in a min to see if there’s a diagram of what I’m poorly trying to describe. Guy
  8. The begining of that episode is the best. TIMMA!!!! Would you believe I have Timmy as my ring tone. Slightly inappropriate eh? http://www.emp3world.com/to_download.php?id=77091
  9. Only thing I ever liked about world of warcraft was when Southpark covered it. Fell about laughing. Guy
  10. Getting into a secure network takes talent. Getting out (ie not getting caught) takes real genious. Not many people can do that.
  11. We could keep this going all evening. Now that I don't have an integrated kit I miss the overly apologetic b****. She’ll be back soon. Get a guy sourcing me the kit so I don’t have to pay Nissans extortionate prices. They want €175 plus vat for the kit plus fitting.
  12. Helmet did its job. Good to hear unhurt.
  13. In fact if I took the literature at its word I should have sat nav, integrated phone and the Bluetooth adaptor. There’s only four options for the z here. Parking sensors, floor mats, entry guards and tonneau cover. Strange thing is I know for a fact that you can not get sat nav for the z here and the mats have been stock in every z ever sold.
  14. I'm a bit annoyed now. After reading all the literature I have plus the info on nissan.ie it would seem I should have the phone cradle as stock. Screw work tomorrow. I'm going to spend the day harassing nissan.

    Press Release

Or two chargers . Tempted to get them myself just to hear what kind of noise she'd make but as there's no performance gains I think I'd feel let down. Guy
  16. There's no bluetooth in the Z as standard. You must first have the integrated phone kit which I believe is stock on the GT in England. Then the bluetooth adaptor is placed in the phone cradle. Over here I've discovered we get everything the GT gets except the phone kit. I do find it strange that I have the phone antenna but not the cradle. Bit annoyed. At least I pulled the adaptor out of my old Z before handing it over.
  17. Alright so I’ve had my MY07 for a week now and love it. Slight problem is there’s no ashtray. The MY04 I had had one so I never gave it a second thought when collected the new one. Just like the integrated phone. I thought it was there and not an option as the car has the steering controls and the antenna above the windscreen. The dealers here are still working off the 04 – 06 brochures and even claimed there were two models of the new Z. Normal and type R. Dickheads. Me being a filthy smoker I require an ashtray and I want to be armed with the part numbers I need so as to order from Nissan over the phone. So if anybody has a brochure could they look up the part numbers for the integrated phone kit and an ashtray (if one exists) please? Last thing I want is to be fined for littering or get penalty points for being on a phone. Cheers, Guy
  18. Gorgeous but you’ve put me to shame. Have to go wash mine now. Guy
  19. I have the adaptor from last Z but no kit in this one.
  20. Do it yourself. Easiest car kit I every had. Would love to get one in the Z but too much hassle with steering wheel controls and bose. Guy
  21. That’s amazing. If I had a spare panel I’d learn to do this myself.
  22. Double skin? Any pics? Could you not slide something between, just a guess.
