  1. Went yesterday. Not as good as previous years imo but i still enjoyed it.
  2. Not really the answer for solving boring races though. Anyone with an interest in F1 knows that the fundamental problem lies in the aero. The cars are designed to produce low drag at the rear and this in turn causes 'dirty' air which make the car following unstable when it attempts an overtaking manuover. I appreciate that the aero is needed to produce downforce, but this can also be achieved through mechanical means. Ban the big wings, diffusers, etc, bring back big sticky slicks and then we would see overtaking again.
  3. Belated birthday greetings Jay. Hope you had a good one.
  4. Perhaps Walter could teach us all something!!
  5. In for a penny, etc Your certainly right about them being a money pit - good fun though
  6. Hi and There are a few more on here from down under.
  7. Best looked at on a calendar too imo
  8. I agree since I've got an Evo I'm obviously biased As a daily drive, though, the Scooby is a better car as it's a bit more civilised and has a longer service interval (10.000 miles as opposed to 4000 I think). Fuel consumption is much the same and you can expect below 20 mpg virtually all the time and I get mine into single figures when on track. The interiors are fairly poor, but general build quality and reliability is among the best you can get. I would also advise against going for a heavily modded one unless it's a factory job such as Prodrive, as running costs and reliabilty can be badly effected if the mods have been not carried out professionally.
  9. Welcome to Zed ownership and I'm glad you got it home in one piece.
  10. Hi and Welcome. The service interval is 9 months/9000 miles with service schedules of P1 P2 P1 P3. The P3 being the most expensive and a good independant shouldn't charge you more than around £300 unless other parts are required. The Zed is basically a very reliable car and is good for very high mileage so long as its been looked after. Good luck with your search.
  11. Is it that bad down your way? I only had the one day where I couldn't be arsed getting the car out but been working the rest of the week The main roads are pretty good up this end No it's not that bad at all. It's just my road is on a slightish incline and it's like polished glass at the moment. And with the Zed as my daily drive and its lack of traction I cant get out of my estate
  12. I have'nt managed to get in since Tuesday. Not too bad though as my students are working on projects this week so no lectures, and I've been able to get a shed load of marking done that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. More snow forecast this weekend so may not even be able to get in on Monday.
  13. I guess we shall have to take your word for what's under there
  14. Superb brakes. I've got them on my Evo and can truthfully say I've never experienced better brakes on anything.
  15. About 3 -4 inches here but it stopped snowing about 11.00 this morning.
  16. Brilliant He's only saying what a lot of people think though, it's just a crying shame the politicians don't take note and act on it.
