  1. Looks like a good example. Silver is not my preference but is nevertheless quite popular. GT pack and satnav is good to have and the low mileage is certainly a bonus. Do a search on here for common faults before you drive it and you will then know what to look out for.
  2. The steering column is not telescopic, only adjustable for tilt.
  3. I only made that mistake once with mine when they sprayed cockpit shine all over the interior including the leather and mosy of the glass Never again!!
  4. I don't like the overall appearance as much as the 350. The front has come in for quite a bit of criticism and I don't like the rear end as much either. It is also not as inspiring to drive imo insomuch as it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the 350, the ride is less firm and it just feels more sanitised overall. The interior is possibly better and one would hope the paint too. Overall though it just didn't excite in the same way as the 350 did when I first saw it. These are purely my opinions of course and obviously won't be shared by everyone. Yes I agree the Cayman does command a much greater price and that's the main reason I didn't buy new. But a 2 year old car with 17000 miles on it that cost around £52K when new, represents a better buy than a new 370Z for my money.
  5. Quite simply because I'm not that attracted to the 370Z. I have loved owning and driving my 350 and had given serious consideration to replacing it with a 370. That was until I saw one and later drove one. Is is not the car that the 350 is imo in terms of both its appearance and driving pleasure, so since I have always fancied the Cayman, it was the obvious replacement.
  6. Do a search as this is a well-documented topic and a known weak aspect of the Zed
  7. I had 12 years in the car business and in my experience the top end models are usually only driven by senior management with the occasional demonstration drive by potential buyers. The price looks good and so long as you are happy with the overall condition then go for it.
  8. I shall happily post up a review once I get it - try stopping me Running costs with the exception of insurance are likely to be less than the Zed tbo. The service intervals are 2 years/20.000 miles at an average cost of around £500 and that's main dealer prices so a good indy would obviously be less. It weighs nearly 200 kilos less than the Zed so is therefore better on fuel, brakes, etc. Geniune parts are obviously more costly than Nissan but hopefully it will live up to Porsche's reputation for reliability. Wouldn't imagine that you would leave it 20,000 between oil changes would you Trev? Most definately not. The benefit of this long service interval though is you can keep an up to date service history without busting the bank. Stark contrast to my Evo that has a 4000 mile interval
  9. A really unique opportunity for someone. Good luck with the sale Paul.

  11. Thanks for the positive comments fellas. It's a 2007 3.4 S with optional active suspension (PASM), sports chrono pack, switchable sports exhaust, sports seats and steering wheel, music system upgrade and 19" Carrera Sport wheels. It's done 17200 miles and cost me £32995.
  12. Well after nearly 4 years of very pleasurable ownership, I did a deal today on this little beauty: I intend to hang around though like the other non-zed owners such as Sarnie, Lomoto, etc, so you won't be getting rid of me that easily
  13. So they get 400bhp out of 2 litres? How do they make that lag free? Quite often by mapping in the Anti Lag System. It will also depend on whether you are running a stock turbo or not. Mine, for example, runs an after market, twin scroll turbo and produces maximum boost from 3000 rpm onwards.
  14. It's called introductory discount. they get your business by undercutting your present renewal and then jack it back up a year later in the hope that you can't be arsed to shop around .
  15. Most of the noise when cruising comes from the tailgate area. A vertical tonneau cover helps to reduce this.
  16. They're completely different animals. I also own a 400 bhp Evo V1 and the acceleration is so much more vivid than the Zed. The Zed, however, is more linear and a more rewarding drive insomuch as you can't just nail the throttle like you can in the Evo. It's also a much much nicer everyday drive. My Evo has RS gearing and at 80mph is doing 4000 rpm!!
  17. You haven't checked the oil for 6000 miles
  18. Happy birthday both from one who's been there already
  19. Get yourself a pair of karting boots. Just as good as FIA race boots but without the flame proofing. Demon Tweeks or GPRW offer a good choice.
