  1. Bell and Admiral are OK with some mods. Its the performance ones they don't like but they often are replace with standard. I'm only a year older and only paying £450 but thats in a safe postcode. Whats the first part of your postcode?
  2. What sort of money will it be?
  3. IMO Looks as stupid on the Z as it does on the dubs.
  4. Yup as you have hire costs of camera which are much more expensive, also a whole edit suite which is HD. These all cost more. Its easier for a static regular to show to do it like eastenders as all the filming is done reguarly in 1 location and the editing will be done on location (well same site I think) rather than topgear which has some editing done onsite, some done before the show etc etc.
  5. You live a sheltered life if you think that only happens over in the US. In all rich circles it happens. If you dad has millions of pounds he would not batter an eye lid at getting a really nice car - probably worth much more than a Z. OK some might say its not responsible but don't think it does not happen in the UK.
  6. I think it will be a number of years before shows like that are in HD. Its quite an investment to jump up to HD cameras. When the tracking car was in at a friends company for some work someone asked about HD and they said there were no plans at the moment. Tracking car was a matt black A3 - even has covers for the lights when filming to reduce any reflections
  7. Sony have raised the bar with the latest X series. Defiantly the best out there, as you say, the prices need to come down a bit - £2K for the 40" is a bit steep when other very good TVs can be got for around the £1200/1300 mark. Its quite a lot of premium for that extra bit
  8. Have you tried Blackfire products? I have just used thier Wet Diamond Polish to finish and have to say the shine it gives IMO beats P21S which was the best for me up till then.
  9. I am not saying they will not chip but the effict IMO will be much less on properly painted cars. Its proven that there is less paint on the Zs than most other cars
  10. Measure how thick 350z paint and compare it to other similar cars and you will find there is a significant amount of paint not there on the 350zs i.e. 20/30%+
  11. Not heard any bad stuff about them only they were very medioka. Have delt with Sparshatts and found them to be fine. Quite a few at work also use them without any issue.
  12. Whether its FPR, Wood, plastic, carbon etc makes no difference in terms of how much it chiped. Its the paintwork that affects it. Crap paint and no matter what you have it will chip. Good paint and the amount of chipping you get is much less. Sounds like the the bumper you had done wasn't done properly if it got scratched up that quickly. That said its better to give paint around a month to cure fully (you would want to do that before paintsheilding too
  13. Which dealer in southampton are you using - West Way? Might be worth trying Sparshatts
  14. I think people are a bit too hung up on paintsheilds. The reaons they are required on the Z is due to the crap paint. If you get a bumper sprayed by a bodyshop they 'should' do a proper job of it and get a good 2-3 layers of paint on there which will stand up much better. After a couple years you could get the bumper and bonnet resprayed for less than the cost of paintsheild
  15. Never seen a Z in bracknell when even I am back seeing parents or friends (since getting mine ~ 5 months
  16. ? eh no I have not put my watch on today as I have been washing the car - water + watch = not good
  17. I had no idea til I got an email from the parents lol. Everything I have - computer, sky, mobile changed thier time automatically. Only my watch and alarm clock are on the old time (and have not looked at the watch as its off for winter car cleaning day
  18. Thats a good price Mine was also for the same 245/35/19 and 275 /19s but on 452s. Before finding a friend of a friend the cheapest I could find was £530 + fitting
  19. Makes my £450 sounds like a steal for 19s
  20. Yes I agree if they are the same price but that means you are loosing out on your investment. If it were Car A at 15K with no warranty and Car B at 15.4K then I would probably go for Car A
  21. The older the car the more scope they dealer also has to use the old "normal wear" clause. Something that failed after 1 year which would be covered by warranty may well not be covered after 3.5yrs as they could claim its wear and tear. I would say you are better off saving your money. I don't think you will sell the car for £400 due to the warranty.
  22. Do you have the smoke ones or the 38% tint ones? You got any pics?
  23. Is there a guide price. I expect the fact it was commisioned means that part of the outlay on the car is already payed for and so reflected in the price. Supprised theres not more power out of it considering there is a supercharger on it. Is a really nice car, exterior is very clean except the spoiler (also don't like it on a friends Skyline lol)
  24. I doubt it can be enabled on the 350z due to the windows being integrated with the Can Bus interface. Unfortunatly you can't use a normal window closure module with it.
  25. I was quoted from £150 to £180 with around 30ish taken off for oil (Dealers around Southampton) In the end I paid £121 + cost of oil
