  1. Yup I have in deed. A friend has them in his golf along with the Beryllium 8" sub. very very nice
  2. The tweeters for now I have put in the stock location. Ideally I would like to build them into the A-pillers. Should be fairly simple as they are no different to normal. Your not getting mixed up with the top end focal Tweeters - the Focal Audiom-TLR. I would like to have them but they are far from cheap. So far the total outlay on this install has been around £100 Not bad considering all I had at the start was mt head unit from my old car.
  3. I think the biggest question is how much boot space are you prepared to loose in the need for your music. To get 2 12" subs work as effectivly as they can would require you loosing a majority of your boot. I think you have some miss-givings about 10" subs. How many proper audio systems have you heard (I am not trying to take the **** just being serious). The box you put the sub in will make a HUGE amount of difference to the type of sound it outputs. If you got a box specially designed for an 10" you would probably be very supprised at what it can output. Also the other factor is cost? Is there a reason you want 2 subs? 1 12" sub should be more than enough for daily driving unless you want to go to shows and play around in SPL type competions. If you spent 1.5 times as much on a single sub you will probably get a better sub that will perform just as well as the two would and you would save money and space. I would say there is much better out there than the T-rex subs. If you are looking at a 2500rms amp I guess this is a serious amount of cash you are looking to spend?
  4. hmm what is that roundabout called now then as the met office has now been flattened. The Old Manor roundabout?
  5. nah looking for a single pulse once armed to feel a window closure module
  6. Anyone know if there is an accessory trigger output from the alarm that gets pulsed when the alarm is armed?
  7. Really like the seats - Alcantara is sooo nice to have over leather in the centres. Those scortching hot and cold days are so much easier. Would love to see a fully Alcantared 350z
  8. supermarket fuel is often just branded stuff. The difference is it could be anything, it just depends whats going for what price i.e. they might buy a load from a BP tanker but then the next lot might be from a Shell tanker just depends whats going for the best price. As for that report. It seems like its doing the rounds. i'm confused by thier printouts - if they have been running this for 8 months getting numerous results that would produce a matrix of results giving average results. I'm pretty sure those rolling roads can't store that many results and then print the average.
  9. Remember for GPS to sit on cruise control as its normally a 2/3 second delays unless its something like drayton timing year. I had a strange one where speed showed 80mph, digital speedo = 80mph. Sitting on cruise control for 30 minutes solid - av. speed = 76mph?
  10. SQ Plus really do know how to do professional ICE installs. They are definatly one of the best in the country. Most of thier systems I have seen are more top end stuff. Not sure if they have finished but they were working on an Escalade which the bill was at £110,000 last time I heard, pretty sure its going to be more than that once finished.
  11. I can also recommend P21S for waxes or BlackFire Wet Diamond Finish
  12. I've always thought flashing people with the same car is a bit stupid. Its not as if you know them or anything. Do you also flash people who have football stickers on thier car for your team? Or have the same hair style? or the same jumper? You flash someone only if you actually know them IMO.
  13. yup - if you get a 2/3 layers of wax on it now it will do it the world of good. Its the abrasive polishing you want to hold of for a good few months probably.
  14. Rob My lad was SEVENTEEN!!!!!!!!!!! He wanted an install like all the other seventeen year olds ....... but ....... BETTER!!!!!!!!!! Thats what he got. Alos it was about five years ago. Its not how I would do it but I am nearly 48!! I can tell you that in the peer group he knocked about in at that time it blew the oposition into the weeds. Not only that but taking the components out - and he funded them - it cost us less than £100!!!!! Styles change. Christ look at what WE all used to wear!! Have no fear nothing ike this will go any where near the Zed. I am going to use leopard print. The Whole idea of the pics was to show H5 what we could do, not what we are going to do! Ming the Ready As the older one its your place to educate them. The sooner they realise how crap it is to have 6x9s above subs the better. If you save the money on 6x9s spend it on gettinga better amps/subs you would still have a 'cool' looking install but it would sound even better blowing away his mates [i was not knocking the style - as you say its all down to trends]
  15. Can we also add the option onto the 2nd/3rd etc pages of the unread post pages
  16. What do you gain from having an increased air capacity as your still limited by the same size throttle body
  17. They will always do it - you think - you could spent 2 months posting these - 1 pulls off thats not a bad wage. Its supprising that ebay don't do more to stop this sort of thing as it tarnishing thier image more and more
  18. I hope you have learnt the lessons of 6x9 in the shelves & subs - no no no no. It does look very much like a first install - I know mine looked comparibly cheesy
  19. I like the audio. Loks like a very professionally done system. Nice to see the top end JL stuff used it. Loved it when I had mine. You looking to do anything similar in the Z?
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/5284962.stm Just shows what a joke of a court system we have. So next time someone who is a racing driver gets caught doing 120 or someone who has advanced driver training - should they be let off?
  21. yup - its being phased in towards the end of the end of the month. Was it the same price as optimax used to be or had they added a penny or two onto it?
  22. Would be very supprised if you were able to rub through the laquer with just scratch remover. With wet and dry or a PC maybe but not with hand scratch remover. My car only changed colour when i machine polished the car. hand polishing didn't give the same results
  23. I've seen 1 in the last week and that was going up the M1 to see my brother last thursday. Haven't seen one since.
