As I have now sold the 350z I have the old subwoofer enclosure from it. It was built by myself to fit under the rear strut. The subwoofer face is set proud of the enclosure to give more depth. It was designed for a Orion H2 10.4 sub. It is trimmed in black faux swede which is slightly colour fading on the back which faces into the car although this is only obvious when its out the car (when in the car you don't really see both sides at the same time to realize its faded) Its heavy!. It was built using 18mm MDF & fibreglass As a result of the weight its available only for collection from Chandlers Ford near Southampton £75 As fitted to my old car - Note the subwoofer is NOT included

Comes with all the fixings and heat shield. Used for around 1 year but car is now sold and was sold as standard. Great addition to the 350z. Small performance gain but also makes the engine roar (without it being too load) This is for Pre-2007 single air box cars only £70 ONO delivered Item located near Southampton for local pickup

This car was cared for thats for sure. Nice guy came to view the car and drove it off to a new home He may come on here as although i did not mention the site it had a sticker in the window.

Its still got the original clutch. No slipping or long travel.

The Alpine head unit/ iPhone cradle can be removed leaving no holes/marks to the original trim. Overall the car is in good condition and the paintwork is in good condition for the age of the car, there only 'ding' is a small 1" dent/skuff in the front lip on the bumper which is barely noticeable. Price is in the right ball park but as you say can depend on so many things. Main thing i have found is get 3/4 quotes. I got 3, found 1 way way off so went for a 4th which was not quite the cheapest but IMO presented the best solution.

Well - 2nd company round for a quote. Recommended a straight replacement as he said the tank is in very good condition (controls, valve and pump and all virtually brand new) so its quite a bit more to switch to combi. It would need to be saving us a lot each year to be worth the expense. I think the advise is good the more I think about it. First company also were going towards the straight swap. This guy said they would go for a glowworm - said they are very repliable and didn't think that the worcesters were worth the premium any more. Did say that he would never go for a cheaper boiler as it leads to no end of trouble.

I've seen many posts saying go one way or another but many do just say "Don't get a Combi" which without any info is useless i.e. many people who fitted them when they first came out had them wrongly fitted as the water supply was not good enough. A simple flow test on my kitchen tap showed it to be around 17 L/Min. This probably means it would work quite well with the Greenstar 37CDi with a flow rate of 15.2 l/min

Whats the reasons for avoiding it? Purely high failure rates?

Had the first quotes through and it was ~ £2300 for Worcester 15Ri Boiler OR ~£2600 for Worcester 30Si Combi Boiler (Both 6 yr warrant) (Combi requires moving the gas feed + removing old pipes etc so understandable its more) I'm definately of the mindset invest with these sorts of things. Better to spend it now than in a few years time when it ends up costing X to repair and also happens at the most in inopportune momnents. That as from a local but reliable company I have used before. Got a smaller company coming round Friday as well as a neighbours friend whos did thiers when they moved in.

I'm based in Southampton I think we have quite a good flow rate at the taps. Measured it last night at the kitchen tap but forgot the numbers.

Anyone here have a Combi Boiler in a 3 bed / 1 bathroom house? Currently only the two of us although in the future hopefully that will change. Do you have problems with temp changes as other things are used like taps in kitchens etc? Only experience of a combi was in my wifes old house which was a 2 bed. It was not very good and could not handle anything else if you were having a shower. Combi boiler will cost approx £300 more and is going to also require me to change my shower mixer which is going to be a bit of a sod to do BUT the replacement of the existing boiler with the same means installing an outside drain which I have heard horror stories of.

I've got a 10/15 minute drive to work and then use it for the for a bit of driving locally - hour up to see the rents - ~5/6K per year and since buying the car (almost 5 years now) i've averaged 22.7 mpg. I have noticed it getting worse over the last year or so - now I struggle to get 33mpg @80 on the motorway, its nearer 30mpg

You hope Nothing stopping someone having pranged it and fixing then selves without the insurance company every knowing!

It could also have been bought by Bob the enthusiast who knows the car inside out better than most bodyshops out there. The key is to check out receipts for all the parts and talking to the owner about the repairs, how they were done. If they were not done by a bodyshop, by who - what experience, knowledge of the car. Who did the paintwork etc etc. Cat D's can be a good buy IMO specially once the cars get to the value the older Zs are because you don't have to do much damage for an insurance company to say it will cost 4K to fix when you can get all the parts new and sprayed for 1K and then just fitted if you are happy to spend a few hours doing it yourself. While you will get less for them you would also pay less so its swings and roundabouts i.e. spend 5k and sell for 4k a year later or buy for 8k and sell for 7k a year later.

Unless he really knows what hes doing with sandpaper I would steer clear unless you have seen examples of his work - and polishing is a totally different art to being a good sprayer. Most painters will be used to the normal G3 after a paint to get rid of any small imperfections where as 'detailers' will often do a lot more than just use some G3 I would start of with a clay bar followed by a mild polish. They would sort a good majority of the defects. See what its like and if you want to go for an abrasive polish do so then seal and wax it.

They both work off the same measurement tho. The Fuel gauge is also trying to guess. How else can you explain the gauge regularly going back up as i drive more economical.

Mines very inaccurate. Just last week the red light went on...35 miles to go.....3 days later after driving to work...46 miles to go and the guage had been going up and down each day. I really really really hate the fact that the fuel guage is electronic. I really wish that the readout was a how much is left in my tank, not how far can I go. IMO fueld guages should be linear petrol volume gauges and leave the rest to the digital guages

Glad i am not alone. The other half has a 06 Mini Cooper. Ride is very hard due to the run flats Creeks all over the place On the motorway at 80mph the 350z is only 2mpg worse than it!! We now take mine on the longer journeys as its so much more confortable Had a few warranty parts replaced Now got a clunk on the passenger side suspension to investigate

You would like to think so but this just is not the case. Know quite a few who have had quotes increased when they mention they did have an acident but it was a not fault accident

Thought there would be a good change it would be some off here. Mine was also quite dirty so glad you didn't see me pull in at the lights
