yup, just put my car through the online renewal thingy and its gonna be £300 still got 6 months to dwel on it till its due anyway. A thought occured to me the other day. The main people opposing the planned pay as you drive scheme were no doubt car enthusiasts such as ourselves, right? Is this a government tactic to make it more appealing to us, and shut us up for next time it comes up??

hmm, well my log book says date of first registration 03.. all good, date of reg in UK 10/06. But the 1yrs tax last october was £210, not the £190 you guys sound like you have paid?? I guess ill just have to wait for that renewal to drop through the door and hold my breath!

I remember a thread on this a while back, and since i just had my emptiest tank ever i thought i'd fill you guys in! Been driving with the light on for a couple of days (short commute) watching the computer count down from 60 odd. Today on the way to find a decent petrol station it went from 25 to 18, then just started flashing -- --, wasn't convinced i was going to make it! still, managed probably 2 miles after that point and managed to squeeze in 71.21 litres Sorry Z, i wont let you get in that state again

Just been having a check round the 'net and the cheapest im getting is from sainsburys bank! They quoted me £857 with no claims priotection. (27yrs, 9yr NCD in Manchester). They are a good £300 cheaper than bell came in at. Can't vouch for the service though, heard bad things about Tesco insurance when you come to make a claim. Not that Tesco = Sainsburys but you see the link

Just bought my JDM on Sat and had them put on a Sigma Cat 1 alarm for me after import. I've just been reading the book and it does all kinda of funky stuff like total closure (just for showing off of course ). This doesnt seem to have been enabled when they fitted it so i guess i'll have to take it in somewhere to be sorted. My question is (finally) would this be a big job to add to the system. I assume they will have to link it up to the leccy windows. Just dont want to get a huge quote if its a 5 min job and anyone know a nice cheap but reputable security dude in the manchester region? cheers
