  1. Booooooo back home now. Pics to follow soon but first few days very were good following the snow the previous week.
  2. I'm off to the alps tomorow so was going to be driving up to my parents house to switch cars as I know the Z would not take me + mte + all our gear. I thought I would try fittining my coffin case first hmmm not a chance lol. Ended up having to have my board slip and Dakine case in the front seat. Fit amazingly well and my boot only had a tiny heli-pack for the journey lol I wouldn't want to try driving to the alps in one lol. Snowboard roof rack?
  3. The problem I can see it having is that does not look like a jaguar. So if it does not look like a jag its going to have to perform VERY VERY well as its competing with the likes of the new Nissan GTR or whatever it will be called - the R8 etc.
  4. Both the stone chips and the tyres I don't think there is much you can do - if you were not happy with the touch ups you should have recorded it on delivery or refused delivery. The lense failing sounds like a standard warranty claim due to a faulty product
  5. 2.9% difference between standard rolling radius and 245/35s (larger) 3.7% difference between 245/35 -> 245/40 (larger)
  6. Thier Web-site is http://www.sextons-southampton.co.uk/ Yup they will install supplied equipment.
  7. You could try contacting Sextons Southampton - I know they have done work on a number of 350zs before both Bose and Non-Bose (I admit to being friends with the owner and use their workshop )
  8. The really stupid thing about this is that even if we cut our emissions in HALF which this law would not even do, this will only reduce the amount cars produce (currently around the 20% of all) so lets say 10% it might save at VERY VERY VERY best. Within 4 months what we would have saved over the next 3 years would have already been replaced thank to the China. I agree with should not ignore the problem but we should not go silly over it
  9. yeah I remember that one - where they interviewed one of the councilors and he was going on about them being bad blah blah then the reporter said about it being better than the other car (mondeo type car) then the counciler said yea but its too big etc and the reporter said it was actually no bigger than the estate version. The councilor just ended up having to resort to points with no substance
  10. Still available - Spacers are available from a few companies - H&R , Eibach etc I am going away on Holiday Today so if you are interested please PM me and I will get back to you when I return (5th Feb)
  11. Sounds like a very poor effort. TO have 1) Fitted any speakers without asking is wrong. Personally I would have refused to pay for them. 2) To fit £15 speakers to put on a head unit of that value is a joke 3) A competent Audio shop would know who to utilise the BOSE amp with aftermarket head units, its not that hard 4) The fact they let it out the shop without testing the radio pickup on it So time to name and shame IMO
  12. The key to it is the built in water softner. You can get dedicated water softeners for hose pipes but are around £45 but they will last a long time (in comparison to the Flash thing)
  13. If you are driving through france its a requirement to have them. I know when I went up to Tignes last year you would have got no-where neear the resort without them
  14. IMO I would say you would be better off doing less cars i.e. maybe 2/3 a day and doing the works like swirl removal. If you do a good job you are more likely to get more high value jobs. Personally I feel that your standard service etc is fairly expensive for what it is BUT when you do swirl repair etc and get the car lookng 100% I think your services are much more valuable.
  15. So how long are you looking at spending on a car - under 2 hours? Whats included in a standard detail?
  16. Wow thats some serious sound deadening. Must have cost a fair few pennies to do.
  17. Looks like you timed it well with all that snow arriving. How quickly were they able to open up all the resort. When I was there last year it snowed 1m the day before we arrived and it tok 3/4 days to open up all the runs. Did you have a photo by the needles eye or were you enjoying the snow to the max
  18. No I haven't as I have not fitted them. My drive is on a slope so not safe to fit them here and not had a chance to use my friends workshop yet.
  19. 350z 19" Racing Hart CR Alloys & Tyres Fronts - 19x8.5 ET28 Fitted with 245/35/19 Falken FK-452 Tyres Rears - 19.9.5 ET28 Fitted with 275/35/19 Falken FK-452 Tyres These wheels were purchased second hand and have since been refurbished, having the middle section painted in black with the factory polished lips. The edge between the paint and polished surface is not 100% perfect BUT you have to look VERY VERY close to see it (probably a 98% job). From normal vision its not visible. These wheels normally retail around £475 for each 8.5" and £500 for the 9.5" ones, the tyres normally retail at £450 so this is almost £2,400 worth of wheels and tyres The tyres are brand-new and never be used on the road. They are the newer Falkens not the old 451 model. These wheels are best suited to an import 350z without Brembo brakes. If you have brembo brakes then you will need some spacers to clear the brakes as these are low disk style. The rears will fit on any model without any problems. Spigot rings are fitted for Nissan hubs i.e. 66.1 although these could be fitted to others cars as the rim has a bore of 73mm so appropriate rings can be used to adjust it accordingly. On the inside of the rim it is stamped with 5-114.5, 5-112, 5-120. Includes black nuts and special socket £900 The wheels are located in Southampton, I can arrange delivery via courier if required.
  20. yea it looks like a bit of a mission. Its possible to remove the metal plate from what I have found but it does support the window motor so you can have some screwing around when putting it back in. I'm holding off doing any more till I decide if I keep the car beyond the summer, if I am i will do a proper deadening session otherwise I won't
  21. Clever design from Nissan I suppose as they know that they will probably go at sometime so a nice £500 to get the local Nissan Dealer to do both sides?
  22. So you can't just replace the bearings you have to replace the whole hub assembly which is why the cost of 40202-AL510 is so high?
