  1. H5 -> Yup got something planned - More SQ and quality again but nothing until this install is sold
  2. Lets say he crashes and falls onto a rail line holding up lots of trains - cost to insurance company could easily be £10M+ I bet they would check his policy carefully if its going to cost them a lot of money. All about being sensible. Your breaking the law so why put the details about it on the web.
  3. If you are not i would get this thread deleted. I would inform them as if your car gets stolen and they find they, they are liable to not pay out saying it increased the cars desirability thus affecting the chance of it being stolen. If you crashed your car they may be less worried about them but they would not replace them either. Only thing I would ever think about not declaring is one of these ECU chips which require extensive work to be detected
  4. If the service said they something should be replaced and they haven't I would be straight onto the management. Check to see if you have been charged for the replacement part. Make sure it get fixeds and ask for the next service free. If they don't just a quick email to Trading Standards to let them know they are doing
  5. This is for the two subwoofer enclosures & the panel that sits between the two boxes. The trim panel could also be used for mounting an amp if you wanted to. The subs used are Hertz Audio 8" subs. Even though these are small subs they can produce a supprising amount of rumble. The are designed to power by around 300W rms The sub boxes are made from a combination of wood and fibreglass. I made the boxes myself to fit pertfectly between the rear speakers and the strut brace. The boxes are very solid and finished in a carbon effect vinyl. The Subs used in this install are two Hertz audio subs. This is a company which produces good quality audio components and is owed by the same company as the likes of Audison. Although its a fairly exposed system due to the way it sits and is finished you don't really notice it from outside unless you really look into the cabin. Specs of the subs - Hertz Audio HX 200 (8") : PDF of Specs [*]300 Watt RMS (600 Watt Max) [*]4 Ohm [*]High thermal dissipation and magnetic permeability plates. [*]Double magnet motor. [*]Superior “Tâ€
  6. Cost can vary - Personally it was going to be between £150-£190 at the dealers around Southampton. Ended up costing £122 with me supplying the oil.
  7. They have to last quite a bit longer to pay for them selves. Standard blades can be found for ~ £14 for all 3, I think 50ish is the going rate for PIAA ones so that means they have to last 3+ times longer than standards. Personally I can't fail my standard wipers and polished windscreen followed by a couple layers of RainX
  8. I would say sell yours and then buy another Z - enjoy a little holiday or something else on the profit. No brainer IMO
  9. It SHOULD have more than that otherwise its warranty would have been void. If its not had the P1 & P2 then its not been serviced to schedule as it should be serviced every year minimum (even if it only covers 1000 miles each year) If its not had a P2 then thats whats needed now
  10. Pretty sure you can use the standard Autoleads Micra loom and then you just need to add in 1 cable to the factory look (connect the remote trigger) to get the amp to turn on.
  11. If its on an 04 plate P presume its had... 05 P1 (1000) 06 P2 (2700) So in 07 it should be back to a P1.
  12. 'Safely' is an intersting comment. The only way to get rid of them is to remove a layer of paint. As a result you have to be careful that you don't take off too much paint. By hand its VERY hard to do as it requires quite a bit of effort. A lot of peope find that using some glazes cover them up (all be it temporarily). My machine is the normal method although as mentioned you need to be careful.
  13. I saw an advert for that at the weekend. Yup its a cool idea if you are out driving about in the hills but if you live in a town like the most of it you are not really going to be looking at anything other than mostly ugly buildings. although I am sure the truckers will enjoy this one when the women are driving
  14. The top mounts are detachable looking at the service manual. I would expect the dampers to fit the normal top mounts. A lot of after market non coilover kits come without top mounts for most cars out there
  15. Could you not use the factory top mounts?
  16. Rob, wheres a good place to get these from? I think I'm going to try something else next after the Meguairs NXT Tech Wax and Step 3 Wax goes....... Any particular one that will be best on the Azure, considering its not that dark etc? http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/cat_4.html
  17. The light swirling you have can still see - were these swirls there before you put the wax on. I've heard of a couple of people that have started to find that applying the P21S has introduced some light swirling? Have you tried either Victoria Concours Wax or Collinite 915 as a comparison to P21s?
  18. Isn't that just a different design of spring setup. Those are coilovers so have a platform which slides down onto the strut which can then have the spring platform moved. If you look on at the pics on the ebay advert these platforms are fixed on the strut (thus not being heigh adjustable.)
  19. Like the alcantaraed interior. Always though it would look sooo nice with just the standard interior panels retrimmed
  20. I'll do some digging. I'm sure I have seen a couple of places stating that the black is a solid single stage colour. Although touch up kits come with a laquer they noted it was not required
  21. Nothing to worry about. Its only rust on the brake disk not the wheel or hub. As others have said a quick rub with a wire brush and it will go away then a quick spray will make it look much better. That said its nothing to worry about.
  22. I would send a reply stating asking exactly what 3rd party influence they think caused it. If they say you must have washed it with something too strong ask them to refer to you where in the handbook it recommends what to wash the wheels in.
  23. The silly thing about price is they think £20 is expensive. IMO £20 for a top quality (excluding the real elite range) that will last months is not that much money. When you consider the cost of a car across a year an extra £10 to get a much better product is not a lot of mony
  24. Yup - A nice layer of AG SRP then a layer of P21S/Victoria Concours Wax, wait 24 then put another layer on and you will have once gloosy looking car which will not need waxhing for a good while and will clean soo much easier
  25. Yup - stupid review where they were putting polishes and waxes together expecting them to do the same thing. Funny how all the ones that won happen to have full page adverts in the mag. Also they lacked some of the companies details like where you get PoorBoys etc.
