  1. Looks pretty genuine to me. I got extra pics off him and it has all the proper fixings - nicely cut holes etc not your typical fibreglass rip off
  2. H5 is spot on. They also generally don't like doing it as if they install it and it does not work they will have no confidence the equipment is good. As a result you could end up with them installing it and then having a problem and having to pay another X hours of £30/h to get the problem resolved. Generally the rule of thumb is IMO buy off the internet / as cheap as you can if you are going to be installing it yourself / getting a mate to but if you are getting a shop to do the installation best to get the equipment from them too. How much were you quoted and what was that for. Did it involve custom work i.e. how are you wanting to mount the amps and where is the sub box going?

    GT-R

There are not that many performance centers by the looks of it.
  4. did you try and get virgin media broadband instead, at least they give you the speed you actually pay for ??? if you get over 4mb i'll be surprised Until you download an DVD ISO and blow your daily limit and then get throttled for a good few hours If your after some unlimited then take a look at Bulldog
  5. Is that the one with the "WW" in the plate - if so thats the Nissan one as WW is the signs of plates from a manufacturer. Biggest surprise for me is the size of the thing - the R34 is quite large but the GT-R dwafs it
  6. The only way I was able to get that bit out without breaking it was by removing the plastic trim panels.
  7. Be aware that to get it to remote start you need to prime the system i.e. you can't just decide one morning to remote start it. To prime it when you park up you have to tell it to go into remote start mode which keeps the engine running while you get out. You lock the doors and then the engine will stop. This way the alarm knows that the car is out of gear and will be safe to remote start. [There are some dodgy kits which are designed for automatics that don't have this but stear well clear of them on a manual car]
  8. I think your being a bit paranoid. If the car was nicked then I am 99.9% sure the insurance company would make the normal investigations...which is not much.. and then payout. They are only going to bother starting to dig if there is a lot of money at stake which the 350z is not
  9. Having had it on one of my cars if I could have it without the expense I would have it straight away. In the winter months it is THE best thing if you store you car outside. While your making your cup of tea in the morning fire up the car and 5 minutes later you get in, the seats are warm, the windows demisted and a much nice driving experience. That said the one thing I would really really want on a car is total window closure - much more useful but a fraction of the cost...on most cars but not the Z
  10. There are actually two so you are both right The main speaker one is under the foam bit in the left hand side of the boot and there is once in the metal section behind the drivers seat which powers the sub.
  11. If your looking to get a sub save your money and just disconnect the rear speakers. Decent comps + amp you will never need rear speakers
  12. They look really good. Ant pics from the other side to show what the edges look like. How much were they delivered
  13. The GT kit will make it a bit harder to fit but nothing a competant ICE installer could sort. It just means you need an extra bit to convert the signal from the Headunit for the Bose Amps

    Carbon lip

Pics when you get it then Jay
  15. IMO I would say your money and wait for the car to come and then get an after market headunit which will do the job much better than the nissan unit for around the same money. Top of the bill at the moment has to be the Kenwood - DNX8220BT It has built in Parrot Hands free (better than standard one as it loads phone book - caller ID etc) It has build in Nav - Supplied by Garmin USB/ Direct 1-wire iPod connection Audio/ Video control 7" Touch Screen Good 5.1 Processing Unit IF you wanted to go on and develop your audio system.

    Any pics of said item?

This one is meant to be Geniune Carbon. I have emailed about the Pro installation and he confirms it doesn't actually need it and it just needs some 3M tape skill lol to be attached. I am temped as its £52 for a geniune carbon one rather than the Nissan fake thing. Will be insteresting to see the price comparison with Phils (pre 06 ones)

  19. This might help http://forums.DELETED.com/inde ... st&id=4874
  20. The law was fairly simple - any copying at all was illegal i.e. you could not buy a CD and rip it to your MP3 - you were paying for the license to own 1 copy. Now they have changed it - well they will be soon
  21. They also have a much improved interface. They have been working hard to up the anti. They might not quite be up to the Alpine level of quality in terms of sound but they are not far off but IMO they have passed them in user-friendly interfaces and capability (and I love Alpine kit)
  22. Worth looking at the new Kenwood systems - very good value for money - built in Parrot Hands free - IPod interface + USB interface. Although ICE can cost a lot and is not worth much second hand if you don it properly the kit can last years. I've had my current head unit for over 5 years now and the current setup for over 3 moving between cars.
  23. It all comes down to how much you like the features. IMO the BOSE stereo is not worth it - better off just going for a simple after market system which you can swap into your next car too. Personally love the heated seats and made a big difference this winter and I prefer the leather. One thing to remember is that if you install leather into a non-leather car although its probably about the best value mod you can do its still a mod which will probably decrease your resale potential market as many would just want a standard car.
  24. Did you think you were going to a film that was meant to be realistic? None of the Rambos have been so why would this one be any different?
  25. My last P1 where I supplied the Oil it was £125 nr Southampton!
