  1. Any pics of the system running
  2. Mixed thoughts about last nights episode. Some good bits, some bad bits. Thought the whole reversing thing was just pointless and un-interesting. The segment about the 1 gallon race was much better and covered around the same air-time. Looks like there could be some good features just hope they don't try and over do the 'stupid' activities.
  3. Looks good - would be very interested so see some work in progress pictures. Showing the sub enclosures, that it looks like with-out trim panels etc. What does it look like from the boot? Is there another amp somewhere for the speakers? If you are going to get a head unit I would say with all you have spent go for the 9887, your dealer should be able to sort you a deal and getting it IMPRINTed for you, specially with how much you have spent with them
  4. Looks really good there - helps that your wheels are awesome
  5. Hmm quite like the clean front end. Any chance of a more front end view of that one?
  6. yup think the gen Nismo is fibreglass - one of the reasons some of the copies are prefered.

    Values

I think its a general price decrease - I would say the Z has held its value fairly well over the last few years. Its down to the whole housing - harder to get loans etc. If you think the Z has gone down have a look for how much RX8 owners are loosing in their first 2/3 years of ownership
  8. That tardis is now being put to good use
  9. This is for the two subwoofer enclosures & the panel that sits between the two boxes. The trim panel could also be used for mounting an amp if you wanted to. I am also including the panel which goes under the strut bar which originally held my amp but would need adapting & retrimming for another amp The subs used are Hertz Audio 8" subs. Even though these are small subs they can produce a surprising amount of rumble. The are designed to power by around 300W rms The sub boxes are made from a combination of wood and fibreglass. I made the boxes myself to fit perfectly between the rear speakers and the strut brace. The boxes are very solid and finished in a carbon effect vinyl. The Subs used in this install are two Hertz audio subs. This is a company which produces good quality audio components and is owed by the same company as the likes of Audison. Although its a fairly exposed system due to the way it sits and is finished you don't really notice it from outside unless you really look into the cabin. Specs of the subs - Hertz Audio HX 200 (8") : PDF of Specs [*]300 Watt RMS (600 Watt Max) [*]4 Ohm [*]High thermal dissipation and magnetic permeability plates. [*]Double magnet motor. [*]Superior “Tâ€
  10. I was wondering what peoples thoughts on debadging are? I talking from looks point of view not "because its a nissan" Been searching for a good pic of a Black Nismo 350z to shop the front bumper but haven't been able to find one.
  11. Cheers - hopefully a bit cheaper than the bose panel then. Wonder how much the stealers want for that part.
  12. What sort of panel do you have where the on the GT, the BOSE sub cover is? Anyone got a picture of it? Cheers
  13. I agree with H5s comments about the front stage. With a W7 behind you rear speakers are not worth it. Spend the money amping the front speakers and you will be more than happy. The final sound will be much better. With the Amp & speakers you have I would go active on the front which will give you much more control. You could also switch the head unit to a W505 or W502 (if you can get hold of one) and then use the Alpine IMPRINT setup which although will not match a system that has had lots of time spend on it will probably give you as good a result if you only spent a short while playing a around with it.
  14. Should sound good. Some class bits of kit there. You should ask them to take a few pics during the installation Are you doing a split charging system or just putting thr Red Top up front? What sort of install placement wise you going for?
  15. AFAIK all the UK facias are black as all the UK models are black. Is yours an import with the grey interior?
  16. Having spent quite a while int he Saxo/106 world I can safely say quite a nice car but stretching the truth me thinks. To get a saxo/pug down to <6 seconds you have to do more work than just put a cam in thats for sure. Also no way you would get 173Bhp from that lot, not a chance.
  17. I would go for the normal focals over the v-slim - You should easily be able to make the normal model fit with a small custom (maybe just aftermarket) mount. The slims are a compromise for people putting them in stock locations. With all the custom work you are doing I would also spend time on door mounts for the full speakers. I have Utopias in the doors with custom mounts which clear the glass.
  18. Halfords are just going to be contracting it out so you may as well just go straight to the guys who are actually doing it. Just ring around a few local bodyshops and I am sure you will get a price thats is better than halfords. If you go to a bodyshop mention its a private job and if you can pay by cash all the better (means they get straight payment rather than having to wait months to get money of insurance companies)
  19. Use the key? Pretty sure that will lock it but not arm it
  20. Might be worth trying to find a local detailer who can pop round with a paint depth gauge. This will be able to confirm whether its down to the primer or not. If so its probably time for a respray. Luckly it should not be so bad as its quite easy to get the food done with it having very defined edges and no direct panel joins so slight colour differences are also harder to spot after a respray
  21. Why the big Nismo sticker when its not a Nismo model or even have the nismo kit? A big ESR sunstrip would have been a bit more suitable IMO
  22. I agree but even the instore price of this head unit at my local Sextons is only a few quid more, Over £100 cheaper fitted
  23. Phone controls will NOT work any more. The AFAIK one you get an aftermarket head unit the factor phone kit does not work. You will need to get something like a Parrot etc. You can get the buttons to work with the likes of a parrot etc
  24. Might be worth going back and having a haggle with them as you've paid over the odds for the unit. For £700 you can pick up the brand new 505 which has the much improved USB iPod interface (same as the X100) http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/IVA-W505 ... tml?cat=72 The 202 is available for under £600 including the bluetooth & ipod interface! http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/IVA-W202 ... -442i.html
