    Dash re-trim

Hmm that brown leather one looks really well done - shame about the colours IMO but it does look well done. The DIY boot does look soooo much better. Another alternatice to Alacantara is called Alicantara or much easier just faux suade. Most people would not know the difference between a good faux suade retrim and alcantara.
  2. I don't really see the point. All it will mean is the teams that want to win will instead of spending X on engines and Y on other stuff will now spent X+Y on other things like suspension/ airodynamics etc. They will want to be the best so will just focus else where.

It would be around the £1000+ mark i would have guessed if you were doing the whole interior. IMO the interior of the car would look much much better in a trim. When i first got the car I was looking at how easy it would be to alcantara the trim. I saw a pic of a car in the US that had it done and it made the interior look 200% better. Rather than a cheapo plastic look it had that look of quality
  4. Sorry to hear that mate. Fingers cross you will be able to find another job soon. Would be such a shame to see to go so quickly. What line of business you in?
  5. Yup not many black ones round here - in fact I just commented to the girlfriend last weekend that I had not seen another black one in over a year! (haven't managed any shows this year) Most round this area do seem to ignore me too.
  6. Looks very nice. Much better in the flesh. Recognised you straight away when i saw you in my rear view sitting at the lights. Guessing your from around my end of Hampshire (Must clean a months worth of Dirt off mine to get back that nice black shine - can't beat it.)
  7. the 12" sub DEF won't fit. The stock location will only take 10" and only some of those due to the angle of the face. Subs like the H2 which have a much squarer chassis will foul the bottom of the enclosure floor. Note that I would not put ANY sub designed for a sealed enclosure into the stock location without putting some effort into sealing it as there is no-where near a sealed enclosure there
  8. The Orion H2 are awesome subs. I had one and wish I could have it back again. Been looking around for a 10" version for a while. Personally I would always go for Orion/Direct amps & subs over Alpine. Alpine are @*!# hot head unit wise but unless your going F1 their amps/speakers & subs are best avoided as there are much better out there.
  9. I agree about the un taxed drivers etc. IMO although it would take a mass operation it would be very easy to take out a VERY large number of these. With the ANPR cameras they have they could easily do a single day attack on all major cities and probably wipe out a good number of them. That said until they sort thier FLAWED ANPR system so its synced with insurance databases properly its a dangerous move. Why in this modern each insurance company can't update the DB every hour - rather than being days behind is anyones guess. Screw that minute it should be up to sync, hey we make sure the trading floors up up to date every second across the world. But of course that costs money without "reducing accidents" so its not in their interest.
  10. I think that will change in the next couple years. Its only because a majority of Zs were too young to be hitting this sort of number but as more of the 04/05 plates approch being around the 50K mark it will be more acceptable. ..well that what I keep telling myself lol
  11. 20K in a Z - How much must you be spending on petrol. I cringe every time i fill up and I am only doing 8/9K lol
  12. These were picked up this evening so now sold
  13. I'm pretty sure the top pics are photoshops. They are not going to half mask a car and then put badges onto it. Interior - overall I think the right way in styling but it just looks a bit too plasticy to me. Personally I wanted a door panel redesign to give a better arm resting position when holding the wheel. Have to laugh at them using a Sat Nav - SURELY by doing that they realise how crap it is to have the power socket behind the seats and have yo drag the cable all the way to the front. I'm amazed someone hasn't designed a nice little pop down panel which proves 1/2 12v sockets and when pushed in have a couple centimeter hole to allow cables to come out i.e. normal use the socket is hidden without having to have bulky 12v plugs on show. Padels do look interesting. Will be looking to test drive it to see what its like.
  14. Will be interesting to see what they have done inside as IMO they have to update it quite a bit to keep up with the likes of the TT/ Z3/4 etc Looks like some lush wheels.
  15. Looks like they've put on show the new 370z More pics @ http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-3 ... s/1085274/ Not sure what to think of it. It looks a bit dumpy to me. Not sure I like the shorter look.
  16. I'm averaging 22.88mpg doing 17387 miles - approx 620 miles/ month
  17. I have a set of standard 18" 6 spoke alloys for sale. The front two wheels have quite a bit of curbing although IMO its just scratches rather than chunks. The rear are in very good condition with only the odd very light scratch but no curbings. The front wheels come with Bridgestone RE040 225/45R18 96Y tyres with approx 4/5mm on them (as shown in the photos). The rear wheels come with Dunlop SP Sport 9000 245/45R18 91W tyres although these are very worn and virtually on the limit. Some Photos Front Drivers Front Passengers Rear Drivers Rear Passengers Front Tyres Insides The wheels are nice and clean and waxed with Collinite 915 Price: £350ono Ready for Collection from Chandersl Ford (Nr Southampton) or Delivery can be arranged @ Cost SOLD
  18. I think if you made the plates up personally for a show then they are not bothered about it but if you start to sell the service then they are more likely to start looking at you. I can see the logic but IMO its not going to make a difference. The people who are using illegal plates to move cars about are not using these "Custom/Show" plate companies to make they up they virtually all have their own equipment. What would be more effective is making it harder to get the equipment and consumables like the pre-cut perspex etc
  19. I always think fines are sooooo way under what they should be. In crimes like this where its just blatent madness they should be fined AT LEAST what it costs to police them, specially when she went skitzo like that. Similar when people go on the run in cars and require 3/4 cars + helicopter to chase them. They should not be fined £500 they should be fined £2/3000 that it cost in resources. Sometimes yes they would not have the money to pay but 95% of the times they will have access to finds or own homes which can be used as colateral
  20. Some Vinegar is always good to get rid of any stubborn remains of wax, put it in the normal detergent bit and it will be all good. I find putting them in a dryer makes them come up a beauty
  21. If your a heroes fan keep an eye out for a good old Silver 350z driven by Niki Saunders.
  22. Be very carefull if you tap into the window power as these are connected up to the BCM. You could do some serious damage if you do it wrong. I spent a long time looking for a system to do this but AFAIK its not possible on the UK model. If you have an import and have the turn and hold key to put windows up function its possible to get a module which will work with an alarm but the UK car does not have this function
