  1. 3K - Thats a fair old amount. Come on then - list the products
  2. Is this a carbon fibre trimming fabric rather than the carbon matting one uses in laying up? Is it real carbon inside the fabric or just an immitation stuff? The pattern looks slightly irregualar normally indicating it is geniune to me
  3. Hubcentric spacers sit into the hub perfectly and then provide a new hub for the wheel to sit on i.e. something like this.. Shims are like these and are its VERY easy for them to not sit right as they often are generic and not for a specific sized hub
  4. http://www.gibsontrimming.com/ is a company just up the road from me that seem to be quite good. Seen a number of cars including this one and the quality looked to be quite good Just realised they did the Max 350z stuff too.
  5. While it is crap everyone knows that it all goes around i.e. the amount spent on the health service WAY WAY outstrips the amount we put in through national health contributions.
  6. If you are building a incar PC you might want to look at some of the touchscreens from the likes of lilliput etc - not the quality of Alpine minotors but they are touchscreens making them much more user friendly. I looked at doing this a while back and there are a few 800x480 screens that will fit perfectly into the Nav cubby home Even if you go for the incar PC you can still get High quality out from it - get a half decent soundcard from the likes of MAudio and then store the music in a less lossy format such as flac etc and you will have some awesome sounds. I agree 100% with H5 in terms of get decent equiptment and it will sound very loud. A decent amp and sub setup properly can blow people away at how loud they can be.
  7. 9/10 if there is wheel wobble and spacers are involved its because they are not seated right - 99/100 if they are the shim style rather than hubcentric
  8. What is it you are looking for from a incar PC? THe reason I ask is its a lot of work and probably not that much cheaper than getting one of the comprehensive screen units that are available now.
  9. How does compression affect it? OK So its compressed, its still a digital format so lets say the file is 01000101010110110110110. As long as that still comes down as that it will be decompressed into the same signal. It will have in-built error correction but that said if a cable is so crap that a 0 appears as 1 its a screwed cable (short ones - longer ones there are more issues that affect it ) which comes on to how it makes it 'sharper'. The WhatHiFi forums are full of people that will give you a load of science that claims might make a difference but there is yet to be a blind test show one up.
  10. Having tried loads of different stuff there is a clear winner for me... Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss Tyre Protection Gel I have found this will last much longer that other stuff, if at a show applied with a paintbrush gives an amazing shine. When cleaning a couple layers of this stuff and your tyres will shine for weeks. Give it around an hour after each coat before wiping the excess off (otherwise it just covers your arches)
  11. I would have kept the keys myself. Always prefer to park it myself and know its not moved than give it to any 'valet' style place
  12. There is lots of talk about this being possible on the US Bose unit - I am not sure if the same can be said about the UK unit. Take a look at http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93941 http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.p ... opic=22902
  13. That XBox is one of the earlier ones which does not have HDMI. You need an XBox360 Arcade or Elite for it to have HDMI As for a £50 HDMI, personally I would only spend £5 on a short one at most.
  14. IMO If you are talking about a 1-2m lead *most* basic HDMI cables are going to do the job as good as any other. The shielding in most HDMI cables are suffient for a 0 to still register as a 0 and a 1 to register as a 1. If a cable shows up artifacts then its a duff cable. There have been numerous blind tests of short HDMI cables from £5-£100 and I am yet to read of someone being able to tell the difference. On my system I have currently got a £30 (2.5 years ago) 10m cable going from Sky HD -> LCD Screen through the wall. I also had a chance to test a £100 2m cable and could not see any difference
  15. Although don't use the 10% rule on HDMI cables if its just a short run.
  16. Yup grab the old multimeter and check the voltage with the engine running. If you don't have a multimeter get one http://planet.farnell.com/email/cpc/Web ... _10alp.htm
  17. Tazzi was selling them on behalf of a friend. His 350z came with aftermarket wheels ...along with a number of other nice carbon goodies
  18. Even though the Wii runs standard def I would not recommend using composite for the picture - its the worst of the worst - use scart or component connections ideally
  19. Hey Steve - Shame your selling up. Whats next on the list? Wheels look very tasty.
  20. Here is a copy of the service sheet showing what each service required (P1/P2/P3) As to which one will depend on whats been previously done. If its only done 30K I am guessing it will need a 2002 New 2003 P1 2004 P2 2005 P1 2006 P3 2007 P1 2008 P2 So a P2 but.. that presumes its been serviced up to spec if not best to go with the more expensive P3 http://www.convery.me.uk/temp/serv2.jpg
  21. It is indeed, but try driving that to work Forget driving it to work just try driving it to the track lol. Great track car but many of us would prefer 1 car thats really good at everything rather than medeoka at one and great at the other.
  22. Saw that while back when it was out on DVD - There are a couple of jumps where it goes some and virtually clears the landing slope too.
  23. It would not surprise me is there was similar technology in the likes of the 350z etc. More of a everyone beware than a specific car. That said - if you are being stupid then you deserve to get done for it so IMO fair play. They are only going to go to these extremes if you have done something stupid and cause someone real damage
  24. The one in the GT-R was developed with the Polyphony - The company that are developing GT5 for the PS3
  25. Some higher res pictures of each wheel might help - showing all the various bits of damage
