Well just to wrap things up, it was a short and sweet affair with the 350z covering 5000 miles and four countries but I traded it in for an Audi A3 3.0 TDI Quattro which is not so bad :-) The later 57 plates are loaded with leather, dvd navigation, and bluetooth. Getting a reasonable PX was difficult because of current climate conditions but got back 22k, I am certain this was subsidised by the dealer but I'm happy.

Thanks guys, I have been phoning around for some trade-in deals and everyone is at the 18-18.5k today. I'll probably place it in autotrader this week and as advised reduce bit by bit. As for viewing I'll arrange for it to be at the office, the scaffolders next door are about as hard as it comes in my opinion. I'll let you know who we get on.

I bought my 350z 4 weeks ago and then 2 days after buying it I found out we would be needing extra seats. Now obviously I bought it without too much depreciation worries as I was going to keep it for a couple of years. I have phoned around for a couple of trade-in quotes and dealers are bidding between about 18k on a 07 GT with 12,000 on the clock. I paid 23k so as you can imagine I am feeling rather sick right now. Any thoughts on the best way to soften this 5k? I've never sold privately before so put it up on the trading post here and pistonheads for 21k but wonder if dropping to 20k would be a better figure to get a quick sale? Okay down to business. May 2007 300 GT with DVD SatNav and iPod connection via FM modulator. 12000 miles (3k round europe the last 3 weeks ) Serviced 4 weeks ago. Taxed till end of year. I paid 23k from a Nissan dealer 4 weeks ago. Price 21k. Fire away with questions..

Will do, but I though the in car shots with RoadPilot and iPod might make them a little more useful so people can get an idea of what those two installed would look like.

Just like to say hello to everyone now that I've purchased my 350z. Having previously owned one in 2004 which I sold to setup on my own I was all too eager to get the 350z back as soon as possible. In the end I bought Universal Silver GT with Sat Nav on a may 07 with 7.5k on the clock for £22,995 from Town and Country Nissan in Cornwall (600 mile round trip) and I must say they were excellent the whole way through. I was disappointed to find that the majority of Nissan dealers are still pretty damn bad still when it comes to customer service. Town and Country were competitively priced, offered me an excellent part exchange on my car and even threw in 6 months road tax. Driving the car back I experienced a nasty rattling in the boot which I quickly found and rectified this morning (loose clip on the boot lid plastic guard thingy) I averaged 32 mpg on the drive back and that was swift but safe driving so I am more than happy with those figures. Next week I am having the dension kit and mount installed as well as my RoadPilot MicroGo camera detection system so all should look neat and tidy. My very quick impressions of the sat nav were good. I have an original tomtom go from 2004 and found the nissan system to be well lit, and provide all the imformation needed well. It even detected problems on the Motorway and offered to re-route me. Anyway thanks to all who answered some of my question and look forward to meeting a few people at a meet or two. I'm about to purchase my 350z (factory sat nav) and I would like to install the Dension FM Modulator and Brodit mounting clip for the iPod. I've seen the documented pictures and instructions posted on the site but I was wondering if there is anyone in or near Maidstone Kent that feels confident helping me take the car apart as I'm not amazingly good at these things. I think you are dead right I started exploring and found the same conclusions. I've found a place in Kent that works on some expensive cars for main dealers so I'm going to get a full headunit installed by them. Nick.

Hi, Based on a recommendation I have been talking to huets down in Brighton, they have done a bit of research and say they have a device that will plug into the aux input of the back of the standard bose used for sat radio (in the usa) that will allow input for the ipod, does the UK car have input for sat radio and has anyone else heard of this solution? I'm down in Kent and definitely want a double din unit, I've not picked up the car yet but need to get my skates moving as I'm off to France and Italy for 3 weeks and as you can understand playing my iPod is of major importance to me. I am toying with either: Pioneer AVIC-D3BT DVD Navigation or Pioneer Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD with Nav and get a TomTom 720 I really appreciate the input guys. Nick.

Okay I'm a little frightened now. I have limited knowledge of doing this kind of work and my local installer (ashford) made it clear when he told me they have installed loads of 350z and proceeded to demonstrate no knowledge of the problems by describing a setup that was anything but a z. I'm willing to travel to the right place that will get everything required and do a super job of installing a double din with ipod and bluetooth. Thanks in advance, Nick.

I'm after an MY07 still looking for the right one. I think that clearance will be a problem, ho hum maybe we can make a small bridging ramp for the car using shorted planks and some bricks to prop the middle up. Thanks for the amazingly quick reply here guys. Nick.

Hello Guys, I'm about to buy a 350z (had an 04 when it launched but sold it in 05) I have a quick question, can anyone measure the ground clearance of the front bumper for me? Sounds odd but I'm off to France for 3 weeks and the driveway where we are staying is pretty steep. The owner offered to compare it to the clearance on his car if I can give him the measurements.
