+1 - I do this for any work I pay for that I have the time to hang around. Car service, boiler service, plumbing work etc. Never met anyone yet who didnt let me watch. My plumber said he likes it when people want to watch him work as it shows that he is doing the right thing and explains what he is doing and everything to me. Same at TGM Sport, they tell me what they are doing and half the time tell me what to do to help

Not quite OT, but if he can drive the 2007 car whats to stop them testing parts on it and then dumping them on the new car? Surely they can mod the old car to be like the current one? I dont see how you can stop "testing" at all tbh.

c'mon Steve, don't be a lazy a---e! It 's car up the stands, 8 bolts each way, disconnect and reconnect the sensors, car down and only once a year I will do it for extra ponies anytime and save more good change for other mods. The evo/ scooby/RB crowd are at it so why not High flow cats will likely net you just as much as decats but save the hassle. If you have an FI Zed, sure decat it, but unless you are FI there isnt much point for the hassle.

If that doesnt work, then you need to call the insurance company I guess!

Do you have the full model number? I used to have a Lattitude D600 and took it apart for my first carpc so know the workings pretty well. Can probably find you the destruction manual if you let me know the service tag or model number

I think Ian lost some low down torque when he swapped out for decats, put high flow cats back on again. I think its largely a myth though if the car is mapped for it Oh and Wickes do the same jack and axel stands for about 1/4 of the price of Halfords!
