  1. Althought you can drive to the mapper without the SC hooked up (installed but not driven) and have it mapped. Would be a nice project to self install then have RS Tuning or Abbey remap it with UpRev Let me know how you get on

  3. I seem to remember someone stuggling to get it to work on either a UK or JDM. Cant remember which sorry, A search should find it though.
  4. Yours looks great cos you cheat and use a pro

  6. Chris, most BBK have the holes for the handbrake adjustment, but no big deal if it does not. All you do is let off the handbrake cable adjustment inside the car and flick up the adjuster at the hub with the drum off until the drum is a "snug" fit. Finally adjust the handbrake from the cable inside the car. Alex. Fair enough, I had a feeling it might be like that [end threadjack]
  7. +1. I beleive if official warrenty claim has gone in it will be on the NMGB computers. However what you might not know is if any accident repair work has been carried out. But its still worth asking
  8. +1 - You nutter Darren! Newquay to Moffat is nearly 8hrs
  9. Looking at the pics again, it appears the fronts are going in the "right" direction according to the vanes, and the rears are not. I'd check with Mitz to see if they are interchangable though as they might be [threadjack] Alex: One thing I do notice with these is that theres no handbrake adjustment window/hole in those dics. Is that the case with most BBK? If so I bet its a right dog to change them as when I did mine I had to loosen the handbrake right off using the adjuster on the hub to get them off. Just curious, thats all [/threadjack]
  10. I was just about to say that A print screen would be helpful to have on the thread, but having it in Google Maps itself would be spot on. Its a tricky call as to where to put it. We obviously dont want to be starting up a whole new regional section, so maybe we can look to update the current "Meets, etc, etc" section to include regional info too.

Agreed, a K1 with bungs will barely get under most track dB levels, let along one with no bungs and that valve open! Especially with decat, plenum spacer and intake (which you need to do to make it worth while). You'd have no chance of taking it anywhere where people are within about a 5 mile radius!
  12. Dont know how long these things take to go off, but I have a KK literally a stones throw from my office! I can bring a box if you like, but they might be about a week old before I get them to Scotland!!
  13. I do worry about you sometimes
  14. Indeedy. Just remember to filler the holes so it doesnt leak
  15. What details did you want Stew? Did I send mine?

I'd say give them a try. Just keep a keen eye on them when they fit them and balance them. Also ask for them to hang around while you go for a test drive to see if there is any judder. If they are any good they should be happy to hang about, afterall if its not quite right how are you meant to get it fixed!
  17. At the airfield day I did, everyone said it was the best sounding car there Sounded awesome being on the outside when Amanda booted it away from the line
  18. OOoh, you are mean As the others have said, spend you money and do it right. If you cant afford a proper intake, keep it stock until you can. You dont want some cheap intake doing no filtering and knackering your engine!
  19. It a completely different car - remember the new regs, slicks, Kers wing sizes, diffusers meaning differing gearboxes - you get some idea from this: http://www.forumula1.net/2009/f1/f1-new ... first-run/ So I guess they are that different they cant develop bits for it? I'm sure theres still a very grey area in there to test bits out as some are bound to work on both cars ....and risk being banned before Schuey hits the track---nahh there will to many spies out watching its not worth their while. Even if they could cobble something together which would never fully replicate the F60 - and given we are talking fractions of a second unless an exact replica alongside a true F60 its not going to help Schuey to use his skills to make those fractions count. WHAT AM I SAYING - there's 20 quid onthe line here I didnt mean WRT to Schuey, just in general. I guess the changes they make are so minimal that they cant test them on anything other than the exact cars they use. Hope their simulator is good for your sake Colin

yep mobile fitter If it were me, I'd see what google had to say. If theres nothing bad, give them a go with Toyo, if there are horror stories then get some Falkens. They arent going to be that different if you take it easy. How long until the other pair need doing?
  21. Definately do a plenum spacer even if you arent planning the remap. I'd do the others if you are planning to remap down the line, otherwise they are just very expensive for not a lot of gain. As for performance from the remap, its hard to say, some cars are strong, some arent, so somewhere between 15-20BHP is achievable, but the big gain is mid range torque.

Sure I've heard that name before, are they a mobile fitter? Maybe I have seen their van around. I suggest googling them and see if anything nasty turns up, if not you should be ok
