  1. Now you are having a laugh - behind a z4?! We are talking the nismo 370 here - higher performance on hp and torque (however minimal) compared to standard, Nismo suspension/struts/dampers and Nismo lightweight wheels plus rear aero pack Read the rest of the comments in the original forum posts and you will see that you have just reinforced their opinion and mine - but for that moment in time, location, opponents (drivers/cars) and weather the 370z was OWNED! As for the boxter S - awesome with PDK and superior torque.

  3. Hmmmmm.......will a set of 19" wheels fit on an S3?!
  4. I was given a trade in value for the car which included the Volks wheels - the least I can do is replace them with like-for-like OEM Rays as far as wear/tear/tread is concerned otherwise it could cause problems if I swap over tires/wheels worth £2800 for a set of minging Rays that has seen more kerb than tarmac and running barely legal tires donncha fink? It does not matter now anyhow - I pick up my new car tomorrow - could not wait 'till Thursday which means the z goes with the Volks - shame - someone could have picked up a hell of a bargain but then it is xmas and luxuries like this are not top of most people's xmas list - I knew this was a long-shot right from the beginning and I was not relying on selling them. Thankfully, I bought one of the last Zs in the country and the discount I got reflected that so I have not taken much of a hit overall as far as depreciation and trade-in price is concerned. Im going to miss the Z, I have been lucky (or just plain stupid with my money ) to have owned all 3 variants of the 350z, and I love the car. I have never been tempted with the 370z, although I like the looks, it just did not solve the two main niggles I had with the 350z - road noise and practicality. Although the former can be addressed and the latter Nissan tried to address, im just fed up with having to plan shopping trips - will what I have bought fit in the car - a bit of a pain especially around this time of year? All the zs have been sound as a pound - never had to go back to the Stealer with warranty issues. Nothing has broken. I love the decisive, solid gear shifting. I love the exhaust note - I wind down my window to listen to that sometimes - but not when it's raining - another niggle I have modified the car mechanically, and it has stood up to what I have thrown in it - Nismo clutches/lightweight flywheels, Nismo exhaust and de-cats - that last car was awesome I have driven it at times like it was made to be driven, and has every reason to hold it's head up high against some of the cars that it has been against that are considered 'better' or 'faster' by some people. All-in-all - a class act. I dont see the S3 Sortback getting the ame looks by pedestrians as I pass by like I did with the z. But is is a quality piece of automotive engineering - the s-tronic gearbox is awesome and the ride is planted, and I know it will give me the praticality i need plus every now-and-then a thrill driving down some B-road. An end of an era me thinks
  5. Definitely formula silver spokes dude.........just sun glare fooling you
  6. or should I say ended up in the Stealers hands with a damn good car Hi, I have a set of Volks Rays CE28N 19X10.5 +22 5-114.3 (9.5 fronts) Formula Silver Limited Edition one piece forged alloy wheels with Falken tires (6mm tread) for sale for £1500. One wheel has kerbing but not too deep and will polish out nicely. The other rear will has 1cm worth of kerbing on it but again not noticeable and will polish out. Alternatively, I am looking to return car to stock before it is traded in, so will require a set of OEM Rays to replace the Volks, so if someone wants to swap their Rays for these wheels I am willing to do this if: a) You take my wheels 'sold as seen' i.e. you sort out the polishing of the kerbing on the wheel in question your wheels are in similiar nick to mine c) There is 5-6mm of tread left on each boot d) We exchange Wednesday/Thursday 16th/17th December at latest e) you pay me £1000 pounds This is a massive deal - forget about your mum's xmas present - treat yourself - you're worth it (tell yourself)
  7. Ok. Deal is if someone wants to swap their Rays for these wheels I am willing to do this if: a) You take my wheels 'sold as seen' i.e. you sort out the polishing of the kerbing on the wheel in question your wheels are in similiar nick to mine c) There is 5-6mm of tread left on each boot d) We exchange Wednesday/Thursday 16th/17th December at latest e) you pay me £1000 pounds This is a massive deal - forget about your mum's xmas present - treat yourself - you're worth it (tell yourself) G.
  8. These for sale still?
  9. ...oh...what nick are the Rays in?
  10. lemme have a think about it............i'll pm you
  11. You should buy mine ....or mine - job done!
  12. ....interesting you should mention that - thanks for opening my eyes to another way of working this as I dont have a set of Rays and I have already had an enquiry on my car but he is not interested in the Volks I would be interested in doing a swap (not a straight swap obviously ) but a deal could be brokered im sure. Anybody out there interested - they are one piece forged alloy rather than 2 piece steel / alloy split rims so as long as you wax them regularly I dont see why you cant use them all year long - I have had them for 4 months in this crap weather and they are still as good as new ? Car is being traded in next week so looking for a quick turn-around on this gals and guys
  13. Ok. Looks like the Volks wheels are a show-stopper for Joe Public in selling the z so looks like I will be downgrading car to factory fitted Rays If I was to get the scuffs polished out - anybody interested - Im thinking in the region of £1500 - remember - 4 months old with 6mm of tread on each boot?
  14. This bit totally threw me ...dont need it anymore and I bought it especially for the Z as it allows me to open the boot lid without having to take rack off - simplezz
  15. You know what they will do with the 370z Sarnie - the same as they did with the 350z - tweak the car every year or so and add 10-15bhp each time they do it
